Doublethink FAIL: “Google Manifesto” Rattles Diversity-Über-Alles Silicon Valley

“Doublethink,” a term popularized in George Orwell’s 1984, is defined by Wikipedia as “the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in distinct social contexts.” (Two longer explanations of “doublespeak” from within 1984 can be found at the bottom of this article.) Which brings us to the storm involving Google and freedom of thought that developed over the weekend.
