Today at 2pm Eastern time the US House of Representatives is expected to vote for the new Speaker of the House.  How this vote will go is still in question.   It’s widely expected that GOP leader Kevin McCarthy will not have enough votes required to win the Speakership.  The Congress will be made up of 222 Republicans and 212 Democrats.  The number of votes needed to become Speaker is 218.

Another fake “fact-checker” has been identified.  Politifact’s Jeff Cercone joins the army of the biased and unqualified in telling us what the truth is and what it is not.  The “fact-checker” scheme invented by the far-left is a means to discredit the truth.  Fake “fact-checkers” are used to proclaim that the truth is a lie.  This is an effort to keep the American people in the dark about the reality of the world around them.

The Buffalo Bill issued a statement early Tuesday on the condition of 24-year-old safety Damar Hamlin who collapsed on the field and was given CPR before being evacuated via ambulance after making a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in the first quarter of the ESPN Monday night game in Cincinnati.

Reports are coming out that Kevin McCarthy has moved into the Speaker’s office.  This is despite reports that 10-15 GOP Congressmen and women are not expected to vote for him on the first ballot tomorrow.  Kevin McCarthy has a lot of baggage to overcome to win the Speaker of the House.  He famously questioned in a phone call released by MSNBC whether those who protested the stolen election in 2020 could have their accounts removed.

As of yesterday, McCarthy did not have enough votes to become Speaker of the House of Representatives.  Kevin McCarthy was former Speaker Paul Ryan’s pick to lead the House Republicans after Paul Ryan abruptly left Congress.  He now is in the position of running for Speaker of the House following the GOP’s win in the November midterm election.  However, his actions while in leadership are too much for many conservatives to support him as Speaker.
