Occupy San Diego Goons Invade Wal-Mart – Leave 75 Carts Full of Merchandise (Video)

The Occupy movement continued its outreach program of thuggery, harassment and intimidation on Black Friday.

At least one group of occupiers handed out “cum-sumer whores” fliers to Wal-Mart shoppers.

Meanwhile, the San Diego occupiers stormed into a Wal-Mart, filled 75 carts with merchandise, disrupted shoppers by chanting their nonsense for several minutes at the cash registers, then fled the store leaving behind 75 full carts for the employees to put away.
Via Free Republic:

Do they really think this thuggery is going to persuade people to join them?

Here’s more on the incident:

Approximately 75 people met up this morning at a transit center with the knowledge of flash mob that will happen and nothing else. I was a little apprehensive being that I didn’t know how we could incoroprate dancing into the 99% movement, nor having much ability to dance. Their idea on the flash mob was that we’d all enter Walmart inconspicuously and shop for 30 minutes, filling up our carts as much as possible. Then we’d meet at the front to check out and the first person to get up to a checker calls asks the cashier to page their child (Michael Check) to the checkstand cause they’re ready to leave, and then right after the page:

MIC CHECK! Citizens of Walmart!! Greetings and welcome back from the food coma!! In the spirit of holiday giving, we believe a discussion is in order about the meaning of value and low cost. For every low-priced product purchased at Walmart, your communities pay the difference. Every price drop represents mistreated workers who STILL cannot feed their families, STILL cannot afford their homes, and STILL cannot payoff their tuitions. Every sweet deal can be attributed to our jobs being outsourced from American communities. Each item on sale helps bankrupt small businesses. YOU, YOUR COMMUNITIES, AND YOUR WORKERS ARE BEING ABUSED!! Walmart intentionally underemploys, forgoing REAL benefits for social services, costing California taxpayers $86 million annually. Walmart employees are overworked, underpaid, and left under-insured in poor and unsafe conditions. Walmart could fire its employees for the mere mention of forming a workers union; which is the best tool American workers have to protect their rights. Corporate beasts such as this one bleed our communities dry by putting the local business owners, who actually have personal stake in your communities, at a disadvantage against these gluttonous juggernauts. Yet they have the nerve to tell you it’s for your benefit. WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THE SCAM!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY DOLLAR-COLLARS FOR OUR FAMILIES!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY ANY OF THIS!! SELF-MADE GIFTS HAVE MORE POWER ANYWAY!! So this holiday season, give yourselves, your families, and your communities the gift of empowerment!! ACT LOCALLY!! SHOP SMALL BUSINESS!! BUY AMERICAN!! Thank you, Exit Safely, and remember to smile…

After that there was applause as we all 75 left our carts and exited the disgusting, big box store. We received thumbs ups from employess, smiles from most, claps at the end, and when walking out the three cops there smiled at us as we walked past shouting, “We are the 99%, YOU are the 99%!” We did the same to a second Walmart and then had to call it a day since other activities were planned.

Yup. And while we are at it, let me point out that Walmart consistently, in every community across the country, pays more than the going rate at any other retailer – large or small. As for their “underinsurance” when my girls & nephew worked at Walmart they had the best medical insurance to be had in the retail industry – even part time employees – AND they had a very low cost stock option buy-in.

I’m not a fan of some of Walmart’s policies and not happy that so much of our manufacturing has been moved to China, something in which Walmart had a big hand, but their employees are hardly slave laborers. It really does not matter what store, large or small, you make your purchases or where you eat or where you buy your groceries. Outside of management, retail is not well paid.

    I love it!

Yes, it’s an inconvenience for the poor Wal-Mart workers who had to put the stuff back, but every action like this means less “Obama” votes!

Call me crazy, but this sounds like a union goon theater piece.

This is domestic terrorism NOT “protest”, local law enforcement, the FBI and CIA should be involved at this point.

  • Tjexcite

At least they did not walk out the front door with 75 full carts. Not to many things could stop 75 people if they wanted to leave with stuff. They had no get away car. It might not have fitted in the purple union bus that was running in the parked lot.

  • Jack Rackim

Why are they allowed to continually interrupt people who work and are trying to do what they need to do?
Do they really think they have any support outside of their own little circle of misfits?

  • Black Sabbath

Thanks for leaving the 99% Wal Mart workers many hours of work in order to restock the things you bastards took down for fun.

  • Alana

They complain about workers being abused, then leave them all those carts with things to be put away. One of the least desirable tasks.

These OWS’ers are THE most inconsiderate group of people I’ve ever known.

I’m glad I’m not their mother.

Makes me wonder how they were raised, to be such spoiled, selfish, inconsiderate, attention-seeking little miserable brats.

Re #15. Exactly right. Who did the OWS idiots think they were punishing? In all probability the poor saps that have to deal with this cute stunt are low level department managers who will most likely be forced to stay until the merchandise gets put away. Hardly the 1%. Jackasses like these fools never figure out their actions make life harder for the people they are supposed to represent. And then they wonder why public support goes down the drain.

Wonder how many black Friday incidents of violence, many coincidentally occurring at Walmarts, were ows instigated.

I wonder when they are finally going to piss the shoppers off enough for someone in the crowd to head up an ass kicking contest and throw the whole smelly lot of them out the front door? I know I would have been tempted to if I was there …

What do these morons have against Christmas shopping, other than jealousy? How did their “movement” go from protesting banks and bailouts to harassing people trying to shop? It’s becoming pretty obvious to me that these people are just typical, hard core, left wing AMERICA HATING liberals. The 99%? I don’t think so …

  • Mad Hatter

They hate Wal Mart since they pay salaries based upon what the job is worth. The company was built on the foundation of a non-union work force. The unions hate Wal Mart since they can’t take them over, control them, and loot them of all of their billions in revenue. The unions back the occupy children.

    This comes as no surprise.

  • Multitude

Teabaggers never see the big picture. I’m sure the work of a dozen or more employees was demanded in order to put these items back (or thrown them out, as they probably had spoiled goods and we all know nobody would trust any perishables that a filthy dirty hippy had been handling). Think of that fact: a dozen jobs created!

These are the jobs the President and SEIU Sturm Abteilung leaders have been promising all along. Think of all the jobs created when windows get smashed, food gets spoiled and society is forced to “get out of its comfort zones” per Michelle Obama and “work hard for my husband.”

  • i wonder if the OWSers have created as many jobs as walmart?

  • SteveM

If anyone knows the parents of these children suggest to them that they contact the college they went to and demand their money back. Wouldn’t that be cool if a couple of hundred people did this.

  • Adela Rogers

OMG! This is brilliant! What better way to get to people than in the moment?? After all, so many are hermetically sealed inside the hyper-consumerist bubble, if not the Fox “new” fear-mongering loop, that it may not have ever occurred to them how destructive a force the world’s largest distributor of Chinese product has been to America’s economy.

I have a family member who screamed at me with vicious hostility when I once mentioned that people should think about where they shop and how it effects the bigger picture. She yelled, “People don’t have any money!!! Where do you expect them to shop??? They can’t AFFORD to buy stuff any where else because the PRICES are too HIGH!!

I could see that she was not open for a civil discussion, so I didn’t at that time explain to her that Walmart had probably put all the mom and pop, small businesses in the community OUT of business, thereby rendering many out of work and with little choice as to where to earn a paycheck except for the slave wage, benefits-stingy Walmart. The entire idiosyncratic culture of the town has been expunged– empty store fronts line Main St, and like a town bypassed by a super-highway on the outskirts, most traffic is now directed to the strip mall anchored by the same stores you see all over the country (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Starbucks, Old Navy, Gap, Victoria’s Secret, Sports Authority, etc., all selling low quality, cut-rate, high-volume goods mostly from China) making one town just as banal as the next.

And seriously, if all these folks “don’t have any money”, then why, pray, WHY do they keep buying so much STUFF???

  • Adela Rogers

Oh, and by the way, for those that are “concerned” about Walmart employees having to put away all that merchandise?

They get paid whether they are re-stocking or checking people out at the register. I’m pretty sure they got a rush of satisfaction putting unsold crap back on the shelves, rather than having to ring up more of it for poor, misguided folks who really can’t afford it.

  • Uncle Monkey

I’m with most here – this is great!

These guys are doing the job the media won’t.
They have to get out there and prove to everyone they’re douchnozzles since the MSM won’t report it.

Keep it up, make sure everyone remembers you and your supporters next November!

  • Where’s that scrunt with the pepper spray when you really need her.

  • TeeDub

Oh, Adela #33, I bet you leave your trash on the tables at McDonalds and clean the mud off your shoes on the carpet because they “pay people to do that”. Are you so stupid that you don’t understand that businesses staff just enough to keep the business operating? When employees have to clean up after people it takes them away from whatever job they were hired to do, and also takes them away from serving customers. So we all pay a little extra because you’ve rationalized away your inconsideration.

BTW. I used to work retail. I don’t know about Walmart, but in my day retailers didn’t add hours to clean up these kinds of messes. That usually fell on a low level salaried DM who might have to do the job themselves, so that their shift labor rate wasn’t horrible.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

    I know, Adela, sweet-patotie, I know;

All those selfish people buying Christmas presents and food for their families, and that nasty relative of yours, should just stop buying STUFF!

They should give the money to you, instead. So you can give it to your pet causes. Or buy only locally made, wonderful things—for yourself. Cuz you deserve it. Cuz you’re so special. Anyway, they can’t be poor, can they? I mean, they keep buying things you don’t approve of! All those stories about the economy being bad—they’re just making that up. To make Obama look bad.

They oughta check with you, first, before buying anything. Cuz you’re special. And you know best.

    /Sarc. off.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

But this article left the important question unanswered!

    Which is. . .

(Maybe next the OWS-ers will start dancing up and down the aisles, screaming “STOP BUYING STUFF!” as they turn handsprings over the the Dora the Explorer dolls? Woot! Viva la Revolucion!” Dancing Truth to power!)

/Sarc. off. Seriously—can you believe these people?

  • shrek
  • Miss Marple

    Dear Adela,

People who don’t have money are not interested in your theories of retail development.

People in Wal Mart are buying “stuff” like diapers, laundry detergent, deodorant, etc. plus a few frivolous things like a couple of toys for their kids for Christmas.

I am sure they would love to have enough money to selectively shop, but they DON’T! Many of them are UNEMPLOYED. They are using FOOD STAMPS which are limited in amount so they go where they can get the most food for their pitiful amount.

Yours is the arrogance of the elitist liberal. And I will bet 10 bucks you buy your books on Amazon, who has undercut many local booksellers. And are you using an iPad or iPhone, both of which are made in CHINA?

Pffft. Do not come to MY house looking for a handout when the economy crumbles. I will just tell you that since I bought the food at WAL-MART I am sure you don’t want any.

  • jms

Actually, leaving a mess for others to clean up is one of the tenets of liberalism. You saw it at the Obama inauguration and the antithesis of it at the Tea Party rallies.

Why would a liberal clean up his or her own mess? Isn’t that the government’s job?

Look, you don’t get it. I’m against wanton waste, destruction and mayhem.

I’m disgusted by what the occupiers have unnecessarily cost us.

I’m repelled by “make-work” destruction as well, which is what this was. Workers may get paid by the hour, but there are different JOBS they do during that hour, and one of the crappiest ones is having to put items away that customers have dropped here or there.

Not to mention having to put away 75 BASKETS of stuff that the “occupiers” decided they would have to do!

Wanton waste of human energy, of resources – having to clean up after these people.
Either in the parks, or in the stores.

Having to clean up after these people, having to pay for these people’s messes! You think that’s wonderful, or a great way to make a point?

You think the WalMart workers just secretly think that’s so funny, and hope more and more people DON’T buy things? Idiot. If people don’t buy things, they won’t have their JOBS, you fool.

Why don’t you go in there and put away all those goods. Why don’t you go into the parks and clean them up, instead of forcing the taxpayers to do it.

Who have you had all your life cleaning up after and paying for you? Apparently someone, if you don’t have the sense to realize that it is wanton destruction and expense.

Apparently your MOMMY went around after you, picking up all your crap. While you wasted her hard-earned money.

And who the hell are you to tell “poor, misguided folks” that they can’t afford to shop?

Apparently you don’t believe they have the “right” to shop. No Christmas gifts for them. No new socks for them. No food for them. They’re too stupid to know they’re too poor to have things like you do, even necessities.

  • Alana

Adela has NO respect for working people. Neither do any of the spoiled, inconsiderate OWS’ers.

    That makes me very angry.

  • Highlander

Adela, your ignorance is showing. Do you remember, not long ago, when Walmart’s motto was “100% made in USA, and they didn’t sell anything that wasn’t? Now, why do you think they gave up on that? Do you think they like cheap, crappy merchandise that falls apart, and smells like bilge water? Have you tried to find a product made in the USA lately? I just spent four hours surfing the internet looking for a propane turkey fryer, with the intent of buying something made in the USA. Guess what? Not one to be found anywhere. Have you seen even ONE item of clothing made in the USA lately?

It’s hard to fill thousands of stores across the United States with merchandise when there aren’t more than a few companies left in America making anything. Now, I wonder, whose fault is that? I don’t suppose the unions, high taxes, and excessive regulations had anything to do with that did they?

You’re just like the OWS dopes … you’re pointing the finger at Walmart, when you should be pointing it at the liberal Democrats and corrupt politicians who have demonized American businesses and driven our jobs and industry overseas. You’re playing the same class warfare game that got us in this mess, but you’re too stupid to even realize it. Yet, you stick your nose up in the air, and chastise people for shopping at Walmart.

There’s nothing like an arrogant, hypocritical liberal moron to illustrate what a failure our educational and political system is, and why we need to throw the entire Democratic contingency of politicians out of Washington, and replace them with people who understand the importance of capitalism and common sense in a free society.

  • Highlander

Shrek, you went where I dared not go with Adela. I was going to just say it, but you found a much more interesting way to do it. Kudos to you!

  • raybojabo

I don’t remember Walmart getting a bailout. These goons should be occupying Cheverolet and Chrysler dealerships. They not only got a corporate bailout, but they teamed up with the commie union goons to screw the taxpayers as well. Sleep well knowing that your children and grandchildren will be working to ensure that these commie union scum can continue to retire at 45 and live off of their tax dollars for free for the next 50 years on bloated government backed pension and healthcare plans.

  • Buffalobob

Two things that I an positive about the OWS protesters. They stink and they Lie, not necessary in that order. If the union goons were part of this protest they need to be prosecuted and their unions fined.

    Wal-Mart to Add Clinics

The world’s largest retailer confirmed Wednesday that last month it sent out a sweeping request to many health-care companies as it sought strategic partners to help it offer “the lowest-cost primary health-care services” in the country.

But under questioning by reporters, the Bentonville, Ark., retailer quickly backpedaled Wednesday, saying it wasn’t planning to dominate the medical market the way it has dominated discount stores. Instead, the company said, it was really talking about expanding the quick-service clinics it already runs at some of its stores, where customers can get basic services such as cholesterol monitoring and pregnancy tests.

The “statement of intent is overwritten and incorrect,” John Agwunobi, Wal-Mart’s president of U.S. health and wellness, said in a statement. “We are not building a national, integrated, low-cost primary-care health-care platform.”

You arrogant, ignorant punk. I’m so glad you need to buy nothing, some other people have families, some people work and so wear out their shoes, tools, etc. which they must replace. Some people enjoy the simple things like music, or giving gifts to others. Some people need to buy food because pride and hard-work keeps them from begging McDonalds for a free ‘corporate’ Big Mac. But you wouldn’t understand these things.

BTW. Wal-mart just opened in my community a year and a half ago and provided jobs and an actual store in a shopping center that was quickly being filled with vacant shops and “going out of business” sales. Thanks ti idiots like you that would vote for a Marxist POS that thinks, “At some point you’ve made enough money”. So basically, if this Wal-Mart wasn’t there, nothing would be there. I got news for you, Mom and Pop stores have been gone for the most part for a long time now, thanks in part to big government, so deal with it.

And if there is an American Product they have it.
I don’t like Target because of their dimmi status no bell ringers and their cave to muzzi’s Remember the bacon thing (I love Bacon).
As for the Mom and Pop shops doing fine in my town.
Wal-Mart and other box stores have done a great service to the people everywhere they have been. just look at the high prices in towns that don’t have them, Look at how far people drive to go to one yes it is worth the gas to have choice.

More Proof it is the Tea Party not the leftist.

Sales rose an estimated 6.6 percent to a record $11.4 billion on Black Friday, typically the busiest shopping day of the year for Americans, while the traffic at stores rose 5.1 percent, according to ShopperTrak.

Just another Hobbit who loves America and her Freedom.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

Oh, we’ve looked through their eyes, Kathy.

And we do not like what we see.

As for hatred and violence, the OWS displays plenty of that. . .

  • Rhinestone Suderman

One might try looking through the eyes of, say, shoppers trying to get a bargain, or overworked Wal-Mart employees, putting up with being harassed by communists while out working/shopping. Or through they eyes of taxpayers, who will be billed to clean up the mess OWS leaves behind.

Naah, they’re jall ust eeeevil capitalists, and deserve what they get. So sayeth the righteous OWS 1%.

  • DeeDee

#65 – Maybe the person that said that they work at Wal-Mart do because they want to be employed and not be a burden on society. Why are you asking them why they did not quit? Did you ever think that with unemployment the way it is nowadays that he is happy to have found a job? I have a lot more respect for a person that works at any job rather than one that stays at home because such and such a job is beneath them.

  • Christopher

I Love It !! I Hope They Fill 750 Carts in Every ChinaWallMart Across The World !! Walmart is A Destroyer Of American Small Businesses.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

Oh, brother, Dee Dee, did you actually read the comments?

I’m asking why they didn’t quit, because they come off as a phony. Yes, unemployment’s high, people need jobs—yet this “Way/Truth” (Huh?) person is blessing, and praising, not the company that actually gave them a job in these hard times, and pays their salary, but a band of Marxists, who are scaring away the customers that help this company pay said salary—as well as leaving scares of filled shopping carts, which they will then have to work at putting away.

And the OWS will not support this “worker”, or their family, if they’re fired.

But, of course, the proles should always be pleased and happy when the Party deigns to help them (even if their “help” isn ‘t very helpful).

(The above is sarc., Dee Dee.)

Franky, the whole thing smells like BS. I doubt “Way” works at all—at least not at Wal-Mart. If they do, they’ve been sadly brainwashed by socialism. “I luy yez, obnoxious protestors, cuz though you’re interfering with my job, and driving customers away, yer standing up for MEEEE!”) Yah. Right.

Not that you’ll understand, Dee Dee.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

Actually, I doubt the protestors object to China.

They probably see it as a model society.

And nothing says, “I LOVE YOU, WORKERS OF THE WORLD, YOU DEAR LITTLE PEOPLES, YOU!” like making extra work for them—like forcing them to re-shelve all those carts they left around.

OWS doesn’t care about workers. They probably wish they could rule, just like the Chinese do.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

But, inquiring minds still want to know—

(And if you don’t love us, and find us utterly charming, you’re just a mean ol’ neo-con—so there!)

/And, yes, the above was sarc.

  • Red

This is how these moronic OWS protesters think they are going to affect change? REALLY?

    How childish could one get?

What’s next, taping “Occupy Me” signs to the backs of Walmart employees?

    Good Grief.

  • greenfairie

Some of these commenters sound like Brooklyn/Portland/Silver Lake hipsters who think all we need are more of their ilk selling weird crap on Etsy.

Leaving 75 packed carts for The Help to clean up after you is so not helping the regular working guy. Admit it…you Commies loathe those of us who just go to work, take care of our families, do the grocery shopping, and even stop into church every now and then.

  • Rhinestone Suderman

Red, I think what these people are actually after is intimidation, pure and simple. “YOU WILL DO WHAT WE WANT, OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES! HOW DARE YOU SHOP IN A STORE WE DON’T APPROVE OF?”

Of course, the guy in the article at the start of this thread claims he wants to incorporate dance into the Revolution—cuz we all know how dancing will change the economy, and punish the corporate. . . blah, blah, blah, and so forth.

As greenfairie says, it’s basically the 1% hating 99% of the rest of the country. If Americans were really decents, and upstanding—why, they’d buy all the hipsters’ crap they sell on Etsy!

  • The Way, The Truth & The Life

    To Rhinestone Suderman:

I am going to try to be as kind as I possibly can with you. It is the way Jesus would have me to be. I have worked at Walmart #1982 since 2001. I started in March of that year. I work in the One Hour Photo department. I am a Photolab Specialist there. I am 61 years of age. I would like to invite you, if you promise to be good, to visit the store I work at. It is in Appleton, Wisconsin.

It is likely you would be greeted by a person in a wheelchair. We have two such people. They are very nice and kind people. One is paralyzed from the waist down. The other is missing his legs from mid thigh down. You would enjoy their company if you would choose to spend some time with them and get to know them. After leaving them, you may go shopping. Maybe check out some of our clothing. You may find a kindly lady who will likely be pushing a cart full of clothes that she is stocking for Walmart. She will look rather contorted but don’t let that bother you. She will do her best to help you. Finally, when you fill your cart, instead of just leaving it there in an isle someplace out of spite for such an evil corporation, I would suggest you actually pay for the merchandise you have filled it with. Maybe you will be checked out by a wonderful woman who also looks rather contorted in appearance. When she walks around the store, she has a walker in front of her and walks very slowly as her disability makes her proceed in a rather jerky fashion. Don’t worry though. She has been working for Walmart for some time now and is very good and would treat you with respect and kindness.

Walmart helps out the community through numerous donations of rather substantial amounts to various charities and community organizations. They also have a program whereby numerous people who apply can obtain college scholarship grants from the company. I know. I applied for one for my daughter for her college and received a grant for $8,000. It really helped. She has been a 4.0 gpa all the way. She is going for her Doctorate in English Lit.

I have worked hard for this company all the way and I try to treat my customers with respect and dignity. I enjoy my work and I care for the company. I have worked for some small businesses before and have never worked for one that is perfect. Not even Walmart. You will find good and bad wherever you go. I would have to say however, that Walmart has proven itself to be a very good contributor to our local community. As I shop at other stores in our area, I rarely see people the likes of which I have described at my store. There is no racism, no discrimination, and everyone works for their fellowman that they may live a more comfortable life and that they may do so within their means. These philosophies are taught and practiced there. In our break room is a picture of Sam Walton and beside him are the words. “The customer is the boss.”

Jesus once said, “The greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven is the one who serves.” Without respect and a servant attitude for the community, no business will survive, nor should it. That was Sam’s motto and it is mine. It is why his enterprise grew so large. It was also Jesus’ who said, “Love your neighbor as yourself. After reading all this, do you find this kind of love in your heart or is there only shame? I will not judge you. I leave that to God. (Matt 7:1-6) (Note that I have not considered you a “dog” or a “pig”. If you are, I am sure you will respond appropriately.) Rather, I take Jesus’ council to heart at Matt 5:43-48. Do not judge or you will be judged according to your own design.

God is Love. You cannot love without Him. Keep that in mind. Maybe then so much sarcasm won’t be your favorite mode of communication. It leaves way too much to interpretation. (I’m assuming that’s what “sarc” means.)

Follow Jesus, who is “The Way, The Truth and The Life.” You won’t go wrong with Him.

Have a Merry Christmas keeping the holiday’s true meaning and spirit in mind.

    God bless you.

This behavior alienates and reveals their disdain for people ACTUALLY working – keep it up so more people see how stupid they are.

” We received thumbs ups from employess, smiles from most, claps at the end, and when walking out the three cops there smiled at us as we walked past shouting, “We are the 99%, YOU are the 99%.”
Obliviously those occupiers can not distinguish a thumb from a middle finger.
