President Trump has reportedly reversed guidance issued to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that would halt deportation operations against illegal agriculture, restaurant, and hotel workers in a move consistent with his promise to execute mass deportations. According to the Washington Post, Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said “There will be no safe spaces for industries who harbor violent criminals or purposely try to undermine ICE’s efforts.” She added, “Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security and economic stability.” The Gateway Pundit reported that the Trump Administration issued guidance to regional ICE officials to halt the operations in these sectors.
