Cardi B has has revealed her uncle was deported from the United States in Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
The 32-year-old rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, made the revelation during a post Super Bowl rant on social media.
She began by complaining that Donald Trump’s decision to attend the Super Bowl led to heightened security that resulted in damage to her expensive shoes:
Yo, I was too fucking mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and shit.
He was at the Super Bowl today and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh.
The Secret Service was not playing at that motherfucker. The Secret Service was not playing to get in that motherfuckin’ stadium. Oh my god.
The rapper said the incident, coupled with the fact that he had deported her uncle, had made her dislike Trump even more:
This shoe cost me three bands. All ‘cause of Trump. Now I like him lesser.
Now I like him lesser because you didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl.
F*cking up my shoe. … Now he’s gonna have to, well, he definitely ain’t gon’ do that, bring my uncle back because my uncle got deported.
She did not provide any further details on who her uncle was or why he was targeted so early in the crackdown.

Days before November’s presidential election, Cardi B made a humiliating appearance at a rally for Kamala Harris.
Moments after taking the stage, her teleprompter began to fail, forcing a member of staff to bring out a phone in which she read out a pre-written script declaring her support for the Democratic nominee.
During her address, she also admitted that inflation was out of control, thus undermining Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s economic record whilst in office.
