Illegal immigrants and far-left groups have shut down the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Movimiento Cosecha, an illegal immigrant protest group, and Never Again Action, a far-left Jewish protest organization, converged at the building on Tuesday and blocked all entrances and exits.
Today, we are in the streets of DC with @NeverAgainActn and #JewsAgainstICE, where 72 allies are risking arrest to demand #DignityNotDetention for ALL immigrants.@SpeakerPelosi, will you stand with us?

The action is still ongoing and several arrests have already taken place, according to a press release from Movimiento Cosecha.
Movimiento Cosecha describes themselves as an “immigrant-led-movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity, and respect for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S.”
"Never again means quit your jobs" is what we are chanting as police and @ICEgov try to intimidate us. We've all heard that Germans were just doing their jobs. It is unacceptable. This is not a time for business as usual. We must #ShutDownICE

“The parking lot. The front doors. The street. We’ve blocked every entrance to ICE headquarters in DC because #JewsAgainstICE won’t stay silent while immigrants are targeted, rounded up, and put in camps,” Sophie Ellman-Golan of the Woman’s March and Never Again Action tweeted along with the hashtag #NeverAgainIsNow.
The groups did not only take aim at Trump, but also Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for passing “a bill that gave $4.6 billion in border funding to ICE and CBP, with no accountability over agencies that have been responsible for the deaths of children in their custody and the separation of millions of families.”
They also acknowledged that though people are only becoming aware of the detention conditions and deportations because of Trump, that it has been going on for decades.
“In this moment of public reckoning, it’s time to put forward a new vision on immigration that recognizes the dignity of all immigrants,” said Cata Santiago a spokesperson for the Cosecha Movement. “We won’t sit back and allow the decades long bipartisan attack on immigrants to continue. We are charting a new path forward and demanding those politicians who claim to be with us to join in the fight for dignity for all immigrants.”
