Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has renewed her calls to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Thursday, claiming that they have a “radical agenda.”
The freshman congresswoman gave the remarks at a press conference organized by MoveOn.org. Far-left Democratic Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar also spoke at the event.

During her speech, Ocasio-Cortez said that not only is she not willing to fund the agency, but added that she is “here to say that an agency like ICE, which repeatedly and systematically violates human rights does not deserve a dime. Not a dime.”
“Until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good-faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants, the immigrants in this nation that have always been a part, and have always been a core element of American democracy, until they can prove good faith to an American ideal they do not deserve any resources for their radical agenda,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
Ocasio-Cortez went on to call for respect for illegal immigrants — but not the hardworking American citizens risking their lives to protect our border without any thanks from members of her party.
The New York rep also declared that “human mobility” is a right, “because we are standing on Native land” and that she will not vote to commit one single dollar to the agency.
