The country of Iran has been hit by a collapse in currency, economic mismanagement by the brutal regime, and impending U.S. sanctions. In the past week several shopkeepers joined the economic protests in the street.
This is the latest round of protests in Iran. There was a mass uprising in January followed by another economic uprising in April-May that saw 1,545 protests.
Inflation in Iran has risen over 20% in the past few weeks.
The Iranian regime sent in the Revolutionary Guards at one point to put down the protesters.
But the Iranian protesters fought back.
Hundreds of protesters CHASED DOWN AND BEAT POLICE in the street.

The protesters are chanting, “Death to Khameini!” on the street.

INSTEAD of chanting “Death to America!” the protesters are chanting, “Death to Palestine!” who they blame for taking all of the Iranian people’s wealth.
Unreal. #Iran Protestors chanting "Death to Palestine" in anti regime protests going on since Sunday. Since 1979, "Death to America" "Death to Israel" were what we heard from Iran. Foreign interventions (Syria, Iraq) + stagnant economy, souring public mood: pic.twitter.com/ZJz1kYM0aJ
