President Trump will deliver remarks at the United Nations General Assembly in New York this afternoon in what is expected to be a unapologetically boastful speech about American greatness and hegemony in the world.  During last year’s UN General Assembly, Trump spoke for nearly an hour, touting his success at ending the immigration crisis and ending wars across the world, and tore into the globalist establishment, Europe’s immigration policies, and the “green energy scam.” This year’s address comes amid the ongoing war with Iran, which Trump is also expected to discuss.

US Central Command forces executed strikes on multiple Iranian oil tankers near Iran’s oil export hub of Kharg Island on Tuesday amid the ongoing US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz and campaign to cripple Iran’s economy.  Fox’s Jennifer Griffin reported that several US defense officials confirmed that US Central Command is “carrying out airstrikes right now against targets near Kharg Island, as well as Jask.” The targets include Iranian oil tankers, as part of “an ongoing effort to squeeze Iran economically,” she said, noting that officials say this is not a new phase involving the deployment of ground troops.

US forces permanently disabled three Iranian oil tankers on Saturday in response to attempted attacks by Iran on two US Navy ships in the region.   The “multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks” were successfully evaded with no American military personnel being harmed.  This comes after President Trump reportedly approved a new “tanker for tanker” policy earlier this week, with the US launching strikes on tankers on Tuesday following Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
