Pro-Trump Danny Tarkanian to Primary Nevada #NeverTrump RINO Sen. Dean Heller

In a sign of inevitable things to come in other states, businessman and past candidate Danny Tarkanian will make a GOP primary challenge in “purple” Nevada in 2018 against RINO U.S. Senator Dean Heller.

In a statement earlier today, Tarkanian, a real estate businessman and son of legendary UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, said: “I am a conservative Republican who supports the policies of President Trump to repeal Obamacare and end illegal immigration. I will continue to support President Trump’s policies that have led to a 20 percent increase in the stock market in just six months. I will join Senator Lee, Senator Cruz, and Senator Paul fighting for real reforms against the liberals in our party,”

According to Tarkanian on Fox News this morning: “Dean Heller wasn’t just one of the first NeverTrumpers in Nevada, he was one of the most influential. He actually helped Hillary Clinton win the state of Nevada,” Tarkanian claimed. “I fully supported President Trump to the end of the campaign.”

Tarkanian also said: “Dean Heller has broken one promise after another to the people of Nevada. …  He campaigned on the fact that he would defund Planned Parenthood, and then he had this crazy crowd at the town hall ask him about whether he would support Planned Parenthood — and he promised to continue to fund it. He said he was against illegal immigration, and then he’s one of the senators out there trying to grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants.”

According to the Washington Examiner, the “White House made no secret of its displeasure with Heller, who has never fully embraced the president, after he opposed the Senate GOP proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare. Heller later supported his party’s bill, but the damage was done; Trump’s official outside political group ran ads in Nevada criticizing the senator, despite his endangered status in the midterm in a state the president lost to Democrat Hillary Clinton.”

As mentioned, Heller was not in the end one of the three Republican Senators who recently voted against the GOP’s effort to repeal Obamacare (those were Senators Susan Collins, John McCain and Lisa Murkowski). Nevertheless, according to a comment by “gibsonguy” on Free Republic, “Make no mistake Heller hid behind his yes vote on the skinny repeal. He waited until he was sure McTraitor was a no before he voted.”

According to pro-Trump activist Jodie Rocco of Las Vegas (who happens to have been one of the two twin female backup singers in Milli Vanilli), appearing on this writer’s show “Backlash” on Shark Nation Radio:

“I think Heller needs to go. He does not support Trump’s agenda, which is America First. I believe that Danny Tarkanian will do that. … This morning, in fact, when I got up and I looked at the news and I saw that, I immediately went to his site and signed my name up. If I can help, I will. We’ve got to get rid of this Heller guy. He’s done nothing for us as a Republican.”

In calling out Heller, Rocco added: “People that I speak with are wondering who Heller works for, because he’s definitely not working for the Republican party here in Nevada. He was instrumental in getting Hillary Clinton to win Nevada. … He never supported Trump. He was one of the Senators who said, ‘I am not going to support Trump.'”
