Donald Trump Jr Releases Statement About Meeting with Russian Lawyer

As TGP previously reported, on Saturday The New York Times published another hit piece on the Trump Campaign and a meeting with Russia.

The bottom feeders at The New York Times got another anonymous tip from deep state officials that revealed Trump insiders met with a Russian lawyer to discuss adoptions from Russia.

–And Deep State officials leaked this to the NY Times.

The group that organized the meeting with Trump advisers and the Russian lawyers was the same Democratic group Fusion GPS that was behind the discredited Trump dossier.

Donald Trump Jr. released a statement detailing his meeting with the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya:

TGP also previously reported that the lawyer who met with the Trump team was denied a U.S. visa to enter, however; she received special permission to enter the United States after filing an affidavit in a Federal case in New York.

By her own account, the Russian lawyer that managed to slide her way into Trump Tower last year and meet with President Donald Trump’s eldest son, his campaign manager and son-in-law is a former Moscow prosecutor who had been denied a visa to enter the United States

Natalia Veselnitskaya filed an affidavit in a federal case in New York describing how she managed to get special permission to enter the United States after the visa denial to help represent a Russian company called Prevezon Holdings owned by the Russian businessman Denis Katsyv in a case brought against it by U.S. prosecutors.

Fox News reported on Donald Trump Jr’s response:

Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner’s attorney confirmed the June 2016 meeting of the men and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower. Then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort also attended, according to the statement from Donald Trump Jr.

“It was a short introductory meeting. I asked Jared and Paul to stop by. We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at that time and there was no follow-up,” said Donald Trump Jr. in a statement released to Fox News. “I was asked to attend the meeting by an acquaintance, but was not told the name of the person I would be meeting with beforehand.”

Trump Jr. does not serve in the administration and is not required to disclose his foreign contacts.

Kushner lawyer Jamie Gorelick, told Fox News in a statement: “As we have previously stated, Mr. Kushner’s SF-86 was prematurely submitted and, among other errors, did not list any contacts with foreign government officials. The next day, Mr. Kushner submitted supplemental information stating that he had had ‘numerous contacts with foreign officials’ about which he would be happy to provide additional information.”

Congressional investigators trying to learn more about the Trump-Russia dossier are being stonewalled by Fusion GPS. TGP previously reported on Paul Sperry’s piece from the New York Post:

A secretive Washington firm that commissioned the dubious intelligence dossier on Donald Trump is stonewalling congressional investigators trying to learn more about its connections to the Democratic Party.

The Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this month threatened to subpoena the firm, Fusion GPS, after it refused to answer questions and provide records to the panel identifying who financed the error-ridden dossier, which was circulated during the election and has sparked much of the Russia scandal now engulfing the White House.

Conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch is also suing the DOJ for FBI records on the ‘Trump dossier’. President of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton had this to say about the dossier which was used to launch the ‘Trump-Russia’ witch hunt:

“The so-called Trump dossier is at the center anti-Trump Russian collusion conspiracy theory. It is disconcerting that the Obama FBI and Justice Department trafficked this document and evidently used it to justify unprecedented surveillance of the Trump team.  Our new lawsuit seeks to expose the truth about this dossier.  Maybe with new leadership at the FBI, we’ll finally get some answers.”

This all looks like a set up by the DemocRATS as the FBI used the largely debunked ‘Trump dossier’, which alleged Russian ties to the President’s campaign associates, to convince a judge to grant them a FISA warrant, allowing them to secretly monitor Carter Page and others. This is why the Democrats are in panic mode after Trump’s victory. They knew all of this would come to light.
