Enough Is Enough=> Petition Started to Ban FOX’s Megyn Kelly from Hosting Any Further GOP Debates

Conservative viewers last night were very offended at Megyn Kelly’s antics during the Republican FOX News debate.

Twitter exploded with attacks on Kelly and FOX News for the constant attacks on the Republican candidates.
Here is just one example:

Now there is an online petition to bar Megyn Kelly from future GOP debates.
Via Change.org:
kelly debates

Here is the petition to News Corp:

Dears News Corps.,

Megyn Kelly apparently finds the state of our union amusing and “fun”, whereas the viewers (our fellow citizens) deserve a much more serious moderator.

In addition, she had a clear agenda to attack Donald Trump, by tenaciously clinging to his past rather than his vision for the future. She focused on Trump personally, rather than politically. Ultimately, she did not not live up to the “fair and balanced” slogan at Fox News and News Corporation.

While her disdain for Mr. Trump was evident, this peititon is a call for truly fair and balanced coverage of ALL candidates. Thus, Megyn Kelly should be barred from hosting or moderating all future Republican Presidential Debates.

Please support this position by signing it as well as adding your reasons to bar Megyn Kelly from hosting or moderating any future Republican Debates (she is better of hosting a Democratic Debate at this unprofessional level).

Sincerely,
(Your Name)

She should provide her medical records I’m convinced she is a guilty aborter / baby part supplier.

  • HA! love it. A ‘pretty face’ only gets one so far… when their true colors shine through, it’s all over but the crying.

  • LouAnnWatson

her “faux” blonde moment…you know the panties don’t match

  • LouAnnWatson

she sounded like she had a marathon session with candy crowley

  • LouAnnWatson

people should do a fox news abortion. why watch any of it? it’s all a direct feed from the dwellers of the ivory towers in the new york bubble. i know the basic record of everyone on stage…i don’t need fox news and their opinion. i’ll form my own, thank you.

  • Joe W.

You Trump cultists are more delusional and vapid than the freakin’ democRATS.

Trump made himself look like an azz. Neither Megyn Kelly or Fox News had to help him do so.

Put your big girl panties on and grow up for God’s sake. Your boy is NOT a viable candidate and you should thank Fox News for bringing that out early in the cycle.

What a bunch of Whining babies…..

  • Bob Crosby / The Streak

I have enjoyed The Kelly file for a long time. But after the circus she created last night by attacks instead of questions, I will have to change my viewing habits. I have already axed the five when Gerry or Juan are on, and lets not forget mr blow hard O’riely. Megan truly showed her gotcha tactics last night. Such a shame. Hard questions are expected, but this was way over the line.!!!!!

  • Dagwood W

Oh boo hoo. Fox actually decided to ask tough questions of the GOP field, something networks like CNN and MSNBC wouldn’t dare do with Democratic candidates, and you want to punish them? I thought you wanted a candidate who can take the heat.

This site has become infested with.a bunch of pseudo-conservative whiners.

  • Joe W.

    Cry baby.

    Ted Cruz — 2016

  • Terry Silliman

Lol…Democrats siding with fox ,hell must have froze over. Or is it that Fox is leaning left?

  • Joe W.

    Bingo! Absolutely spot on.

  • Joe W.

Neither. It’s the cult of The Donald….whining crybabies…

  • Conservative Ken

    Thank god somebody said it.

  • Ura Dumass

Well still don’t mean that democrats have a say in the Republican race . But I’m sure Hillary is gonna get a pass on the emails and be running for Pres.

  • calgarth

Kelly was way out of line bringing up something that Trump said about Rosie O’Donnell eight years ago. She took his comments out of context, implying he called all women fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals, etc. when she knew that was a lie. She knew those comments were directed solely at O’Donnell and no one else. Fox needs to send Kelly and others like her packing.

  • Webb

    ME-gyn thinks she’s a women’s libber celebrity.

It’s great that both she and FOX have finally shown their true RINO colors.

  • Frank Mancuso

    AGREE!!!

  • calgarth

Our “boy” is as “viable” as any other candidate and even if he wasn’t, that doesn’t excuse Kelly’s deliberately twisting a comment he made eight years ago. What he said about O’Donnell was true and has absolutely nothing to do with his candidacy.

  • Frank Mancuso

Well how tuff you think it will be when faced against Hillary and the dems all that stuff will be thrown at who ever gets nomination

  • theleftisscum

This sounds like a bunch of Trump crybabies and I am not a Kelly fan either.

  • theleftisscum

    Oh my…

  • richhahn

Those are the kinds of questions you ask in an interview. Megyn should have Trump on her show for an interview and she can ask all of those type of questions she wants when he has equal time to respond.

  • Donna

she is a legend in her own tiny mind.

  • Joe W.

Not true. Trump has called many women vile names.

  • Joe W.

I don’t believe that. Biden will be the candidate in the end.

  • Joe W.

He had nothing to say but bile in the time he had. He didn’t need any more time, as he had nothing worthwhile to say.

  • calgarth

So what? I’m sure they all deserved it. Nonetheless, the string of “names” to which Kelly was referring was directed solely at O’Donnell and Kelly knew it.

  • MC Slammer

Me-gyne we’ve hated your for a long time. Can’t you just admit to us that you know that you’ll never be an A-list celebrity on cable so you’re angling to move to CBSNBCABC in the hope of becoming the next Katie Couric?

It’s a delusion because the MSM will never forgive you for being at Fox, no matter how much you bash Republicans.

We really, really don’t like you.

  • Aimee

Her behavior was unprofessional but this was all pre-planned. FoxNews also bears the responsibility for its “secret plan to contain Trump” which was openly reported through FoxNewsRadio the day before.

  • Joe W.

It had everything to do with who The Donald really is, Sparky. And he has said vile stuff about many women throughout the years. He is an angry, vicious man. Not fit for the office he seeks.

  • Joe W.

Really? Did you ask her? Are you really going to defend The Donald’s lousy performance last night and excuse his boorish behavior? Are you that much of a cultist?

  • Joe W.

What was unprofessional about her behavior? What was professional about his response?

  • calgarth

That’s a matter of opinion. You call it “bile,” others call it “truth.”

  • Joe W.

Who is ‘we’, Shltforbrains? Got a gerbil in yer pocket?

  • MC Slammer

She was obnoxious and unfair to all of the candidates. She’s a complete amnesty shill and a total feminist. In other words, she’s the enemy. This latest offense is only one of many.

Get lost Me-gyne and take the Newsdouche™(Shep Smith) with you.

    Lighten up, Francis.

  • Joe W.

Quote me the “truth” in his answer to Ms. Kelly. I will wait right here…

  • calgarth

I’m not a “cultist,” I simply want someone in office who will get rid of these illegal parasites, build a wall on our southern border, place tariffs on imported goods (which will bring manufacturing jobs back to the US), etc., etc. and Trump is the only candidate who is seriously addressing these issues.

  • Joe W.

Up yours, Sonnyboy. She was tough on all of the candidates. That was her job and she did it well. Your boy simply was not up to the challenge. And you cannot handle that. Whiner.

  • MC Slammer

That’s exactly the point. We already have ABCNBCCNNCBS to ask Republican candidates gotcha questions. We certainly don’t need so supposedly friendly Fox News to join them.

All three of the “moderators” want to move up to the MSM and are simply endearing themselves to their potential new masters.

All three failed. The MSM will never forgive them for being at Fox.

  • owl

Megyn was part of the group attack on Trump. Fine. He is a big boy. But be prepared to receive. Did I think the Don appeared as a little pouting boy that might take his marbles, sit in a corner and throw them? Yep. So what?

What had I rather have at this point to save my country? Someone that might be rough enough, tough enough to do the hard choices. We do not have the time to gently do the PC fix. That was a luxury we all squandered with our rotten ELECTED VOICES, Three of them were on the stage and only Cruz can receive an exemption.

Trump can buy his own parade and lead it himself. I do not care. I have voted for years for the others. No thanks. Oh, I am not so stupid to think he is going to round them up and send them back. Nope. He has warts and almost all human areas. I loved his snits at Megyn and Chris. Go Trump. Go Carly. Go Cruz.

  • Goose

for the record, I LIKE MEGAN KELLY… with her clothes off

  • Mike371

It was very blatant that she had an ax to grind against Trump. Her questions were loaded for the most maximum damage possible. She was very unprofessional. And I’m not a Trump guy. I prefer Cruz or Walker.

  • MC Slammer

Well troll, Fox has always been moderate with its’ NEWS features. They have some Conservative commentators, but far less than they used to.

  • MC Slammer

So what?. Does “respect for women” mean that one can never criticize any of them ever?

Logic much? Nah, didn’t think so.

  • Joe W.

No he is not. He has already backtracked on his fence by saying it will be in ‘selected areas’. He will only deport felons. He cannot place tariffs on his own, and tariffs will do nothing to bring jobs to the U.S. He’s all mouth.

Ted Cruz has always been tougher on immigration than Trump and he understands how trade agreements work. Trump thinks he can do what he cannot possibly do without the help of congress.

  • calgarth

First, my name isn’t “Sparky.” Second, your comments are unnecessarily vituperative. Third, when it comes to “angry, vicious” men, I cannot think of anyone more angry and vicious than Obama. Fourth, whether Trump is fit for the office he seeks or not is something the people will decide.

  • MC Slammer

…and the trolls have finally discovered Gateway Pundit. Nice to have you. Visiting from the Daily Caller?

  • Anonymous isn’t Anonymous

You know what Ailes will do? Delete your petition.

The better course of action is to cancel Fox. Cut off their money. Either go for the balls, or don’t fight at all.

  • Vance Shearer

The tough questions on policy were fine. Even to the extent that it intersected with the candidates personal beliefs. I am no fan of Trump, but Kelly was out for dirt and it had no place in the debates. Also the “focus group” that Fox pushed afterwards to show Trumps support was falling was a transparent setup. THAT shows the bias goes right to the top. RINO’s for Bush.

  • big bird

the only reason she got this gig was by blowing brit

  • MC Slammer

When did I say I was a Trump supporter?

  • Joe W.

They are not supposed to take a side you moron. They are supposed to be ‘moderate’. And I do not see them leaning left any more than they lean right. As it should be.

A troll is someone who shows up at a site simply to agitate without making a point.
You don’t know what you are talking about when calling people you disagree with trolls. You are just like your hero. A rude blowhard.

  • Anonymous isn’t Anonymous

Kelly certainly didn’t get to where she is based on intelligence.

  • TNT

So Joe, do you think the questions that were asked Trump were political or personal?

  • calgarth

Instead of thinking up “cute,” vituperative “names” to call others commenting here, you should be brushing up on American history. How do you think the US government supported itself prior to 1913? I’m not sure you actually know the definition of “tariff” because if you did, you would certainly realize the implementation of tariffs would absolutely bring manufacturing jobs back to the US.

  • Aimee

Mostly, the timing. It was an attempt to get Trump off-balance and turn the audience against him at the outset so Luntz could convincingly say he lost the debate. That, together with Baier’s stunt, was preplanned to skew the outcome in Jeb’s favor. They knew he needed the help, and they gave it to him.

  • Vance Shearer

The reality today is that the Republican and Democratic Parties are both controlled by the same wealthy mafia. The RNC is scared of Trump, they are out of a job if he wins, so in this case they want him diminished, and that looks great to Dems. Tough questions are fine, and there were plenty of those, where FOX crossed the line is playing favoritism.

  • Joe W.

They were about who the candidate is and about what he stands for. You have a problem with that?

How about asking Bush about his name? Or Cruz about talking to God?

All are legitimate questions and quite fair…

  • Joe W.

    Who DO you support, then?

  • rambler

No point in having a petition, just watch her ratings. FOX took a gamble and it failed. Media types have to stop injecting their choice of outcomes in the debates and have the candidates state their positions. The opening of that debate was a farce.

  • bigL

Yes, I too find those shows unwatchable. the five should be reduced to the ONE, keep Guilfoyle. But BOR is their huge income generator so he gets some leeway in my view. And many parts of the show are good. He has moved more center right as the country tanks.

  • jigsaw

6 companies run the public media, why would she being an employee of said companies say anything else. They just shift back and forth left to right, shes there to throw monkey wrenches and straw man, emotional button irrevelant issues in to be pitched.

Look pretty, look concerned and do thier bidding as a functionary of agitation propaganda.

  • rambler

And that isn’t their job. If Jeb needs that much help then he isn’t up for the job.

  • Leveut

The RNC should be having the final say on where the debates are held, and who the moderators are, not the media entities.

As a general matter I would no more want a superinflated ego like O’Reilly or Hanititty as a moderator than one like Me Gyn or Chris “You can take the man out of ABC but you can’t take the ABC out of the man” Wallace.

  • calgarth

Then you’re going to be waiting “right here” long after I’m gone. Think what you like. I don’t owe you any explanations.

BTW, please change your ID icon, you’re giving the South a bad name.

  • bittman

An older Black guy just called into Rush Limbaugh a few minutes ago. After thanking Rush for bringing the Conservative message to us for all these years, he said he had NO PROBLEM with Fox’s questions — that he thought with the way the media tries to destroy every Republican candidate that these questions were good in that they helped prepare our candidates for the attacks headed their way from the Left-wing or Obama lapdog media. I totally agree with him.

  • Aimee

Exactly right. That’s why I think her behavior was unprofessional.

  • Vance Shearer

I am a Cruz supporter, and if you cannot see what FOX is doing then don’t be upset when they pull the same thing on Cruz as they did on Trump last night. In fact they did marginalize Cruz a bit, always highlighting Jeb with softballs. In fact, I thought Megyn wanted to give JB a BJ the way she was fawning over him.

  • ohthehugemanatee

Is there some kind of rule that because they were women, they can’t be called names? As a woman, I am calling them out on this phony “war on women” nonsense. If you want to be treated equally and like “one of the guys” then you better suck it up buttercup. You can’t jump into the fray calling men all kinds of names and then call the Wahambulance and cry, “but I’m a girl!”

  • Joe W.

And I have decided for myself, Garth. As is my right. This has nothing to do with Obama’s anger or viciousness. As for me being “unnecessarily” abusive or sarcastic? Tough. Deal with it. If my comments are too unsettling for you, there is a little dash at the upper right of the post next to the little flag. If you click on that, the post will minimize and your feelings will be spared.

  • MC Slammer

I’m ashamed that you call yourself a conservative. You’re the exact stereotype of the semi-literate (I’ve viewed your posting history) inarticulate, illogical oaf that the Progtards try to portray all of us as.

Let me guess, you’re wearing a dirty t-shirt

Every time you open your mouth, you set our cause back. Please go tend the chickens, swap out the heads on the Mustang GT, or visit the swimmin’ hole, because when you post you make us all look like idiots.

  • bigL

    who is this woman-not Kelly

  • Aimee

I agree. Any man who calls me a name earns my contempt but I don’t need to destroy his life and career over it. And I sure as hell won’t cry about it.

  • ohthehugemanatee

Who says The Donald had a lousy performance last night? Have you seen any of the polls out today?

  • Vance Shearer

Funny, for someone talking about what a pompous, angry man calling everyone names Trump is… he could take lessons from you. 🙂

  • Joe W.

You see it your way, and I’ll see it mine. I thought all of the candidates got some pretty tough questions. Asking Bush about his name was not an easy or soft question, and that is why he actually botched his answer.

Cruz can handle whatever the debate moderators through at him. He is intelligent, direct, honest and unflappable. You are wise in your support of him.

  • Joe W.

Cruz calls it the Washington Cartel.

  • Trump Card

I was upset at first but someone brought up a good point. These guys have to be ready because the dems are going to be 10 times harder on them.

  • Joe W.

It is a different world today than in 1913, Sonnyboy.

  • MC Slammer

    Cruz 2016 but he’s unelectable.

  • calgarth

You really need to pause and take a deep breath. These personal attacks and name-calling are unnecessary and, as we all know, when a person resorts to either, it’s because he has nothing to support his position.

You really need to check with your doctor because you could have an obstructed bile duct which can cause chemicals to collect in the brain resulting in a variety of emotional disturbances.

  • Joe W.

There is no rule at all, nor did I suggest that there was. He was asked a question, and he could not answer it. That’s all I said.

  • calgarth

Calm down, there. You’re going to give yourself a stroke.

  • Vance Shearer

    Yo momma deserved it.

  • Joe W.

They attempted to get everyone off guard. That is part of the job. It is not meant to be an easy experience for the candidates.

The others handled themselves well, with the exception of Paul & Christie. Trump was an embarrassment.

But, be my guest. Support him if you wish.

  • calgarth

Calm down. You’re so angry and vicious, you make Donald Trump look like Mother Teresa!

  • calgarth

How about showing me where I said the world wasn’t “different” today. The world may be different, but the definition of “tariff” hasn’t changed.

  • B. Smith

Pathetic display by FOX. Not worthy of a presidential debate. No different than CNN or MSNBC or PBS. Absolutely horrible……….

  • Bob

We need the Gov of Ohio and we need Ohio. Trump needs to say he will not run third party.

  • B. Smith

Exactly right. Accusations and attacks disguised as substantive questions…..not very well disguised.

  • EuroDude707

Since when did conservatives adhere to the fake “war on women” narrative and social engineering? It is clear for everyone that Donald Trump attack BOTH men and women, and most likely men more harshly than women. So Kelly’s “question” was nothing but an attack job.

  • calgarth

“Jeb” has never been “up” for any job. The only reason he was elected governor of Florida in 1998 and 2002 was because his opponents were total duds — Florida’s best governors (Bob Graham and Lawton Chiles) in recent years were Southern Democrats. Then, one of his first orders of business was to veto funding for a fast-train system the people of Florida had voted for, saying: “Nobody will take a train when they can fly,” proving he is totally out of touch with the common man. He has proven more than once he isn’t the sharpest tool in the drawer. During his tenure as governor, Jeb did nothing of note and he would be the same in the White House.

  • olddog

Hey Gateway..WTH is the deleted as spam CRAP???..You goin RINO as well????

  • juandos

    I don’t quite understand Kelly’s behavior last night…

Is Kelly like that display she put on last night all the time but is constrained for the most part in it showing us this behavior on her daily show or was she and the other panelists pushed to be ‘different?

  • Aimee

You can’t possible believe Jeb Bush got a single question he hadn’t already answered a thousand times and was over-prepared for and yet still bombed. Ok, whatev’s.

  • conservative5

Was not wild about her either, have not been for a while, but really, quit acting like the democrats. They boycott everything they do not like. Gateway has gone way ultra conservative, you all are acting out like spoiled mad kids; so over emotional that there is little doubt that you would rather have an egotistical firebrand run the country. We have had that type of leader for the las 6 and 1/2 years. Your anger at the beltway republicans is coloring reasonable judgment.

  • Aimee

Not mine, it’s not. You don’t know me. State your own opinion, and shut up about mine. Sorry, but I’ve just had it with everything today.

  • MicahStone

=Two key problems with Fox and the debate:

    1. Fox relied way too much on Chris Stirewalt for questions. Stirewalt is a small-thinker with a limited, inside-the-beltway view.
    2. Kelly has an immense IMMATURE side that often gets in the way of her generally good work (and other assets).

  • Mike in Illinois

Megyn, Brett Wallace deserve the derision they earned, no doubt about that. All three seriously overstepped their place. What I witnessed was disgusting- a display media talking heads thinking they “represent” people. Folks, e problem here isn’t so much these three people as it is the set up situation itself.
A moderator should do no more than put a SUBJECT on the table, point to the first Candidate and have that person talk about their position – if that Candidate chooses to engage another player, so be it, if not, so be it.

Are gotcha questions and statements appropriate in a debate? You Betcha! Ummmm between CANDIDATES!!!!!,not between a candidate and moderator. Fox News exposed itself as just a run of the mill Old Media game rigger. Sad it is, because it COULD have demonstrated how media is SUPPOSED to act.

  • Bitter Clinger

Megyn came out as a closet Hildabeast supporter last night. Probably not the best move for ratings in the future.

  • Mike in Illinois

No, it is not “part of their job”. Of course is isn’t supposed to be easy for candidates, but the politics of personal destruction by media isn’t what nation needs – indeed, that is exactly what got us Obama. Got Jack Ryan?

  • Bitter Clinger

Jeb looked stiff, nervous and uninspiring. Not very presidential.

  • Aimee

Why don’t candidates bring questions for EACH OTHER, the ones they think should be asked? That could be a very valuable insight into their judgment as well.

  • Dusty Thompson

After yeas of listening to Colmes and Becktel Jeameu Greene and Powers without consent I gave up on Fox awhile ago. I feel much happier about life without them.

  • Mystic

That is a very good point. Plus it may take the wind out of the Dem’s plan to use this stuff in the future. Now it will all be old hat. Get everything out and on the table at the earliest time. Good for all.

  • Aimee

That does seem to be a potential bright side to this debacle.

  • Janet77

Turning the other cheek is no longer an option! Obama is giving Iran nuclear power as they chant death to Americans. Planned Parenthood is killing & selling dead body parts & bodies, & illegal immigrants r getting better treatment than American citizens. General Patton was egotistical. Sometimes that’s what u need to fight what is going on in this country. None of the other candidates have the backbone as Trump has. America’s time is running out and I for one say it’s time to stand up to the media corruption!!

  • Dusty Thompson

Yea because all the complaining about “gotcha” questions from yesterday would never ever happen if each candidate asked the other a series of questions… We all know candidates are all good people intent on YOUR best interests…

  • Aimee

I agree! It’s like the Romney effect. He was too damn nice to go for Obama’s jugular when he should have in that last debate.

  • Aimee

A gotcha question from an opponent is not the same as a gotcha question from a so-called “moderator”. Can you understand that? I wouldn’t vote for a candidate who asked your cockroach question, and he’d better know better than to ask it.

  • Janet77

This GOP debate was about ratings & knocking Trump down & getting him out of the race. Fox backs the “Establishment Republicans”, with very few exceptions. We can officially declare that all cable news is dead!!

  • Dusty Thompson

I understand it would only be worse. I dont have an answer though, for what its worth. Debates are from a bygone era, methinks.

  • Buck Nut

I’m pretty sure I explained this to you a while back. Disqus has identifed you as a spammer because of your excessive use of caps, and the repetitive use of “(D)” in your comments. If you avoid those things your comments should post…

  • Aimee

But wouldn’t that allow us to see the judgment each candidate has, more so than a completely controlled venue controlled by biased individuals, whether liberal or conservative? I personally see value in that.

  • Dusty Thompson

Seems to me the establishment GOP couldn’t be helping Trump more than if they were trying.

America now officially needs a “FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION” away form the POLICE/LAWFARE STATE it now is.

  • Dusty Thompson

Rote memorization of the talking points isn’t so important to me. Results and experience are.

  • olddog

Thnx…So a San Fran based lieberal will monitor my post…Cool..

  • Janet77

Her delivery to Trump was to demean the man. It was abusive & Trump has every right 2 defend himself.

  • pgroup

If one of us guys said that, we’d be pelted with negative comments.

  • Aimee

    Fair point. I understand.

  • Patty

First, you knew that a woman would ask the question sooner or later about “you said you wanted women on their knees.” or she asked something to that. Well, there was Kelly and I do wonder if this was her idea to ask that particular question or someone else.

Fox seems to believe she is perfect person for the big interviews and even once or many more, her Kelly File ratings were better that O’Reilly. Obviously, her boss sees her as one of the best on Fox. They even moved thing around about a year ago to accommodate her and put her in the best spot at the 9:00 p.m. hour.

Well, during this time she cracks jokes with the others at Fox and her guests. She thinks it is cute or her boss does.

So, what we saw from her was the cute part, not the intelligent part and more serious part of Kelly. She is a smart cookie but last night, it all went to her head and she lost her mojo.

  • Dusty Thompson

The only mean thing Romney-care said was against other republicans.

When the GOP stops letting Democrats select our nominee in Open Primaries then maybe Ill consider giving them my vote again.

Democrats are insidious to our faces. The GOP is insidious to our backs.

  • Janet77

Hey, women u can’t have it both ways! If u dish it out, better be able to take it.

  • pgroup

Don’t forget that Rosie the Tank started the slime throwing. Trump was responding to her despicable comments.

  • showmanRR

Maybe she was getting behind the scenes training from Candy Crowley?

  • pgroup

I guess you aren’t offended by her prior marriage to Gavin “LoveTheQueers” Newsome. He’s the one that simulated oral sex on a microphone at a news conference while he was mayor.

  • Dusty Thompson

You know who I want for POTUS? The guy that believes in these very basic principles and not much else. These basic principles are; adherence to the Constitution, fiscal responsibility and national sovereignty. Simple enough?

America a nation of laws, the basis which are set forth in plain English in the Constitution and its Amendments. The role of the document is to protect the citizens from abuses by the government.

The Federal Government is required produce budgets, appropriate funds and enforce spending bills. The process is laid out in Article I, Sections 7.

America is a sovereign nation with both the right and the responsibility to enforce our borders, defend ourselves and our allies and act in our national interest.

At this point in American history most of the rest in minutia to generate Govt dollars (power).

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/07/trumps-poll-numbers-remain-on-top-despite-critics-debate-analysis/

Boom!!!! So, has hard as they tried, There was NO HARM for Trump’s poll numbers.

  • Janet77

That time has passed. The Supreme Court, Obama, & Congress have ignored our Constitution. What we need is someone who can stand up to this corruption. Seems to me the candidates r afraid of Trump, how in the heck r they gonna standup to ISIS, Iran, the Chamber of Commerce, & others with massive power.

  • Dopey

They’re moderators not conditioning coaches. I agree they’re going to get it from the lefty moderators, but how about just having a good debate where one candidate doesn’t get to talk for ten minutes while another on the same stage gets four minutes.
    ——

Her question about the life of a mother or an abortion is such an unfair question. It can’t be answered and it would never be up to a president to make that decision. His/her stance is irrelevant, especially given the rarity of that scenario. Ask Megyn that question. If she says “A mother has a right to abortion in the instance of rape or if her life is in danger,” then you can beat her over the head with “why don’t you want to protect babies?” It’s a leading question where the answer has nothing to do with being president.

She did the same thing with the sexist stuff by not prefacing her question fairly. Trumps comments were in response to vitriol directed at him by people Megyn decided not to mention.

  • conservative5

I agree with much of what you say. I feel Planned Parenthood is pure evil and many of our Republicans have let us down over and over; I am angry too, but I will make my decision based on something other than emotion and madness. I feel that the solutions given by Carly, Cruz and Rubio and Dr. Carson were over the top. They had solutions not bravado. I would love to see Carly with a one to one with Trump, I believe she would clean his clock in a very measured way!

  • William Boyette

This was The first time that I know of . That they Asked the Question about Will you support the Rep party if you don’t get the Rep Nominee . They have NEVER done this before . IT has been asked BUT NOT AT THE FIRST DEBATE EVER .
Anyone with half a brain would know that this was done ONLY to start it off by bringing Trump down. I have yet to determine My candidate .Which will be one of three from last night . But mister Rebel Flag Texas You yourself should be at least smart enough to see that “and the Railroad job taking place .
Can’t you see Its all Smoke and Mirrors . To do what they want you to do . NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
The media is how Obama got elected . Nothing has changed . Just a different horse to show by a different owner

  • Rose

IS that PEEKABOO BLOUSE the one she wore while PLANNING to open with “SEE ME ON MY KNEES” image planting while she was talking to Donald Trump?
WHAT HAPPENED to business blouse and suit jacket?

  • jainphx

I agree on all you have said except that Romney was too nice. He listened to the Karl Roves of the GOPe and lost.

  • Rose

Won’t vote for a single one of the OTHERS. NOT voting for a GOP to go to D.C. and promote the Dim Marxist Agenda.
Nothing in the Fox debate showed the issues, like who is working for SHAMNESTY while SAYING they oppose it, and ditto Obamacare, new abominable trade deals to lose more American jobs, connected to bankers, Obama EPA squashing of American Energy while catering to “GREEN ENERGY” fraud schemes designed by Obama and the Joyce Foundation, 20 yrs ago.

But FOX NEWS doesn’t want American Voters to have all of THAT information.

  • FedUpWithWelfareStates

    Launch her butt…

  • Do these people think that the networks and CNN are going to tread any lighter than Fox?

  • Rose

The hard part for Candidates should be the SPOTLIGHT on their UNHOLY ALLIANCES. Not on HI-JINX with the UNPROFESSIONAL debate “hosts”.

What did anyone learn about who will DISMANTLE the DANGEROUS Dim Marxist UNCONSTITUTIONAL Policies and get treasonous Public Servants put on trial!!!

They let all them act surprised that the American people have been demanding the BORDER BE SEALED and ILLEGAL ALIENS all be deported for the past 30 yrs!

  • Joe W.

ROFLMAO…Had to check the URL…I thought I was on INFOWARS reading your post…..sheeeeesh…get a grip….

  • Rose

AND SHOULD. Rove convincing George Bush Jr. to NOT DEFEND HIMSELF from cheap and spurious attacks should have proven to everyone that shutting up and taking it is an excellent way to see your PRINCIPLED STANCES be destroyed in the Public Eyes. Everything you are fighting for be disrespected and unraveled, for the cost of appearing spineless, even when it took more guts (and less Wisdom) to keep your mouth shut.

The Bible says you should study and be prepared to defend the beliefs you have.

She worked hard to earn the slop she threw landing back in her own face.

  • Joe W.

When y’all get over your shock and awe, you may want to consider the fact that FOX News asked each candidate a question aimed squarely at their perceived weaknesses. And they were fairly brutal.

But you should be thankful that they did this because you had better believe that the other networks would seize upon those very issues had Fox not already exposed them and had the candidates respond.

This is called a preemptive strike, and it is a brilliant move against the liberal leaning MSM. In short…FOX News stole the left’s dirty laundry and aired it out early on in the process.

    Think on that a while…..

  • Joe W.

Those are all unscientific polls, Patty. In fact, Breitbart’s OWN poll has Cruz the winner by 8% over Trump.

We will see the real effect when a regular, professional poll is conducted.

I will bet that Trump drops some and Cruz rises, as will Fiorina and Rubio. Christie is toast and Paul did himself major damage.

  • Joe W.

You are a Ted Cruz supporter then.

  • rreactor

Trump does not have the temperament to be POTUS. I give him lots of credit for speaking truth to the frustration felt by people on both sides of the aisle who are being ignored by the political class. If the other candidates are smart, they will tap into that frustration and get saltier and less politically correct. Just tell the truth about your position and then stand by it, and as for the way the moderators handled the debate, get over it. It’s only gonna get worse when the other networks try to make their mark…

  • Rose

Megan showed it hard in the months before she got her evening show, when she began to swing from Right to Left like a trapeze artist to Old Ailes’ piping her a tune.

By the time I got through watching that schizophrenic side show, I never watched her new evening show. Like one of those old movies where you watched a woman switch to 5 personalities during one conversation. UGH!. Oh, yeah, those very old movies where they would hypnotize someone and they would behave one minute one way, then with a finger snap or a key word, the person would do a 360 degree change, and back and forth – like the old Niagra Falls routine.
THAT was Megyn trying to jump through Ailes’ hoops for that new show. Not a flutter of the eyelash betrayed her complete sincerity in defending stances from all extreme positions.
    UGH!

  • rreactor

It’s not actually a Republican network and if it were I wouldn’t trust it. The MSM outlets are in the tank for progressives and for my money, Fox is a reasonable counterweight but the day it declares it’s gonna go all in for R’s, they will lose me and many more. They did a reasonable job last night and asked some questions that would inevitably would be asked by a far more hostile network later on down the road. Get it on the table now and let’s see who rises to the occasion. Trump didn’t and his post debate behavior is indicative of the kind of sore loser he would be as POTUS. Not the kind of guy I want representing us. Carly Fiorina is my pick and Ben Carson would compliment her nicely. Neither are RINOS nor are they part of the political class.

  • rreactor

    Yup…

  • Joe W.

    Bingo.

  • serious woman

Anyone watching that debate could see what she was doing. She is only getting what she deserves and I guess she will think before she acts.

  • rreactor

Nope. Fair question… and he wishes he had just limited it to Rosie cuz’ some folks might cut him a break on that, but he’s been a jerk many times and is accountable for it. I don’t get why folks think Trump should not be held responsible for his bad behavior. Do you believe for a second, the MSM is not going to dredge up every single crappy thing he’s ever done and parade it around right up to election day? If we’re OK with it on our side, then we’ve got to shut up about Debbie Wasserman Schultz, right? The Donald’s a big boy but he’s not acting like one right now…

  • rreactor

It’s pretty obvious that plain vanilla Bush is not generating any heat right now and Trump is, so he doesn’t get to be on top without fadin’ the heat that the position warrants.

  • serious woman

The secret plan was that black binder she was holding when she asked Trump that question. No other candidates had a black binder and right there it is wrong. Many wonder if it belonged to Candy Crowley.

  • rreactor

I don’t think you would last long in a debate with Megan Kelly. No one seriously thinks she’s not smart. They might not like her personality or her positions, but don’t think for a minute she can be fooled.

  • Joe E.

And why was he an embarrassment ? Enlighten us please …

  • rreactor

I got your 6 Joe W., but if you are “abusive and vicious” what precious little sandbox have these folks been playing in?

  • Aron Jose

Quote us the bile – go ahead – you got our attention.

  • Bubba Gump

Better moderator than Candy Fat a$$. Pointed questions to get pointed answers. It brings out the best and worst in a candidate. You can truly see what you are really going to get. Step right up Hillbabe. Get your old hag a$$ in front of Megyn. The hag would implode.

  • Dudenstein Ol

Sweety … what is your real name … share with us

  • rreactor

Yep, Hilary’s not likely to make it through the gauntlet (too much baggage and FBI scrutiny) and like Alan West I believe Joe’s going after the sympathy vote with Obama’s support. O’s ego would never allow the big story of the decade to be the “return of the Clinton’s to the Whitehouse”. The 3rd term with Joe at the prow and Valerie at the helm is just the ticket…

  • Rose

Carly has deep connections to John McCain and was a campaign manager for him in 2008.
That means deep connections to SHAMNESTY, also.
I cannot warm up to Ben Carson. Period. His move from Dim policies is fairly recent, too.
    Not going there, either.

  • dave0987

Rino traitor sellout amnesry pusher Rubio? Lol please. And Fiorina can’t stop attacking Trump (this was at least her third) so she ain’t exactly helping herself either.

  • serious woman

Read Carly’s first speech before you say more, unless you feel the Islamic Civilization is so great. She was fired from Hp and it was for no little thing.

  • dave0987

Yep, you got all that right. Upvoted you if it sticks (mine often don’t here for some reason.)

  • Joe W.

All he did was whine about being treated unfairly, and he simply called everyone “stupid” and “incompetent”. All he did was yell, sputter and then brag about how much better he is than anyone else without giving any reason whatsoever for folks to support him.

    THAT is embarrassing.

  • Joe W.

I did not say that I support Rubio. I do not. But he did well in this debate.

Carly Fiorina was awesome by ALL accounts and helped her cause more than any of the 17 candidates.

    Cruz / Fiorina — 2016

  • BurmaShave2

Exactly right! It seems to be lost on practically everybody commenting here that it is best to get this and other matters out and dispatched now rather than later.

Yes, this was not a love fest, for Pete’s sake; it was a debate. FOX News set a standard that that will challenge NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS when they get around to The Democrat debates. If they do not challenge Hillary etc. with all their huge warts the difference — or should I say deference — will be glaring.

And BTW: Notice that there were no comments or allusion — even by Rand Paul — about bridgegate. That is over.

  • Mark

Megyn, get lost, unless you want to host debates nude.

  • jackb

    Looks like her.

  • CSNIronclad

Truly sad that this site has devolved into a worship site for Trump. Kelly asked hard questions and she should be proud. Sad that the Gateway Pundit has become such a joke site too.

  • Aimee

Yes, that turned out to be a fatal flaw.

  • Rose

    I have a GRIP.
Not voting for SHAMNESTY, or ABORTION, or the IRAN Treaty, or OBAMATRADE or COMMON CORE or GLOBAL WARMING, GUN CONTROL, THOSE ALREADY PLANNING to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY to American Citizens while continuing entitlements to ILLEGAL ALIENS and watching Obama ship military ordinance and $$$Billions to ISIS, IRAN, Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, etc….

or a SUPPORTER of John Boehner, or Betrayers of the Military, or those who REFUSE to deal JUSTLY and CONSTITUTIONALLY with TREASONOUS Public Servants in the White House or Congress or the USSC.
    Those are simple basics.

I know those standards are too high for the average GOP RNC Establishment, but that is too bad.
It’s going to take a lot to keep this nation EXISTING for another 5 MONTHS. or even 2 MONTHS!
    MUCH LESS the Next “ELECTION”.
It’s going to take Leadership WITH GENUINE INTEGRITY and NO connections to the old Stalinist Agenda that the DIMS selected back in 1963 for their Party Platform.

  • Joe W.

I know what it’s going to take, lady, and Trump is not the person to accomplish that. He has ZERO integrity.

You need to look for a more Constitutionally Conservative, strong, articulate, bold, honest and steady men with impeccable credentials and integrity.

Someone like Ted Cruz. But vote for the Sham Wow dude if you want. I don’t care.

most disrespectful journalistic or platform for debate I have ever seen on television.

  • Rose

I never intended to say so much positive about Trump. I have no illusions about TRUMP.

THIS is still 2015, on top of that.

I ask people to give me a CONSERVATIVE and you give me a man BORN of 3 CITIZENSHIPS – Canadian, Cuban, and MAYBE AMERICAN – apparently with NO DOCUMENTS of American Origin regarding his birth or citizenship GENERATED AT HIS BIRTH, to CONSTITUTIONALLY prove up his birthright from his mother, AS REQUIRED when born out of the nation.
Furthermore, when he met and married his wife while the both of them worked for the George Bush Jr. campaign, they both also worked on NAFTA, as well.
His wife was ALREADY a GOLDMAN Sachs Banker with a connected position on the CFR.
Ted Cruz was a law clerk for Rehnquist and also prosecuted lawsuits before the USSC, maybe about a dozen of them and won nearly or all of them.
NOW he is NOT TRANSPARENT on his CITIZENSHIP AT BIRTH status. You cannot tell me he doesn’t comprehend “Natural Born of TWO American Citizens of UNDIVIDED LOYALTIES” of the Constitution.
His father became an American Citizen later – 2005 – 10 yrs ago.
It was NOT MENTIONED whether he renounced his CUBAN Citizenship at the same time.

(Not the only link to related articles that I have)

IS CRUZ a NATURALIZED American Citizen? SEEMS to not have any AMERICAN DOCUMENTS related to his birth and national citizenship…
Maybe he is only Cuban and Canadian???

MAYBE after working on the NAFTA TREATY he and his CFR wife just think if there is formed a NEW NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENTAL ONE NATION STATE, THEN his ambiguous CITIZENSHIP won’t matter any more at all?????
NOT SAYING HE THINKS THAT WAY – just wondering why after all the uproar about Obama, a man born of similarly QUESTIONABLE Birth circumstances would run for PRESIDENT – “on the opposite side of the political spectrum” without doing some homework and having some answers for the voters on this issue.

So you tell me, if you are one of those who thinks that because of OBAMA, the questions of Eligibility ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION “just don’t really matter” – wants to say “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE”…

Well, I’ll tell you what difference it makes.

You either RESPECT THE CONSTITUTION and THE RULE OF LAW that was important to our Founding Fathers…
OR YOU DO NOT – and the RULE BY WHIM OF MAN is just fine and hunky dory for you – the way of peoples who follow after their favorite DICTATOR, like Fidel Castro, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Che Guevara, Santa Ana, Aaron Burr, Napoleon Bonaparte…

That Rule by WHIM won’t defend your Civil Rights, any better than the People of the United states of America defend CITIZENSHIP and ELIGIBILITY.

Ted Cruz campaign slogan is all about being CONSTITUTIONAL and he bloody well KNOWS what ELIGIBILITY for the Office constitutes.
And he doesn’t depend on what his mother told him when he was a child, for that information.

  • Rose

    Like Candy Crowley.

  • Rose

Fox is jammed full of “Megyn Kelly’s”. They have two or three good folks but they get less and less and less airtime all the time.

  • Rose

I voted for Ted Cruz for Texas Senator.
Then I found out there were issues about his Citizenship – wasn’t worried about his Senate Seat, some say I am wrong about mixed loyalties in the Senate, and should be concerned about that, like I am for the President. But I have not yet explored that.

Then he said he was addressing that issue and had lawyers looking into it. So, I’m like, OK, let’s see what he does about it.
    Crickets chirping…

Going to renounce his Canadian citizenship while confessing his father’s CUBAN citizenship but not going further into THAT issue….
Some say he did… THAT doesn’t change his BIRTH STATUS….
Then found out he is a Super Dooper Lawyer – clerked for Rehnquist…
Went to fight USSC lawsuits for the State of Texas and won ?most or all? of them???
So, NOT A DUMMIE, depending solely on the “impressions” of his mother….
Then I found out his wife was a Goldman Sachs executive on the board of the CFR before he met her – boy she is gorgeous and so are the kids….

So he is really not Stupid… NOT IGNORANT EITHER….
    Worked with her for NAFTA…

Then only first part of this year, discovered his dad became an American Citizen, LIKE HE SAID…
    IN 2005 …. 10 yrs ago……

Smart man, dribbling bad news in small items without any significant airplay…
and still pursuing an Office in which he is NOT clearing up questions of his ELIGIBILITY requirements….

I won’t vote to help disqualify the Constitution.
And Ted is ignoring this issue. Maybe he thinks he won’t win, but will gain political power for his issues…
    then it wouldn’t “really matter”…

    I dunno what he thinks…

    My Senator….

it wasn’t a debate.if it was a debate they should asked the same questions of all the candidates. instead they asked each candidate different questions based on whether fox wanted to embarrass that candidate or not.

  • Valerie

What is worse, the other networks and talking heads would do it behind their backs, and never give the Republicans a chance to respond. The Repubs have a huge problem: their responses do not get transmitted.

This debate was solid gold, because the candidates got a chance to answer some of the Democrats’ most prized questions, and they each did a fine job. We have candidates that are worthy to be President, and we have proof.

    I saved a few clips.

For all you Donald Trump fans, give this a once over and then ask yourselves why the very first question directed towards Mr. Trump last night dealt with his misogynist attitude towards women.

This is classic Donald Trump lack of character and lack of any semblance of class, dignity, or decorum.

    This is absolutely nasty…

Except Bush had already answered all his questions before.

  • Joe W.

They were all asked different questions in the first round aimed at each candidates supposed weakness. And Trump was the only one who failed the test. Get over it. If you wonder why that question was asked, watch this and you will have your answer:

  • Aimee

Twitchy has had it out for Trump since DAY ONE. I have all but stopped visiting that site because of it.

Edited to add: Shocking that Gutfeld, Perino et al are rushing to Megyn’s defense. Who again is it that signs their paychecks?? C’mon.

  • Joe W.

It’s a video, Aimee. He does it all himself with no help from Twitchy. Since you won’t have the courage or honesty to watch it, Donald Trump said, among other things, that Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes and blood coming out of her…wherever…”

And you think that this man is NOT misogynistic? You think that is an appropriate thing to say on CNN’s Don Lemon show? You think that is Presidential?

I think it is disgusting and downright juvenile.

  • Joe W.

By the way, Twitchy banned me last year for being too outspoken. I go there just to check out the articles now. William Amos is a pencil neck and a wimp.

  • Aimee

The natural conclusion to that thought would be “ears”. Trump is often clumsy on the fly but you are quick to make him nefarious. I don’t see it. He’s a smart ass, for sure. No question.

  • joe

I have to agree. Trump will get dragged through the mud by the MSM and it’s not going to be pretty. The MSM is foaming at the mouth and chomping at the bit hoping that enough people are dim witted enough to support Trump. The man has ZERO class and loves to talk down to other people. To label him as a egotistical narcissist would be going easy on him. He is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame for the umpteenth time and the fact that people are gullible enough to give it to him is the real sad part of all of this. I understand fully that here as of late a lot of people that post regularly here on the GWP have got riled up with this whole “he’s the man”, “he is not afraid to tell it like it is” BS!

The bottom line is this HE IS 100% COMPLETELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, UNELECTABLE!!!

If he continues to garner support from the few that are rabidly following him, Hillary can go ahead and call the interior decorators and tell them what color schemes and themes she would like for the White House. It’s that simple, he WILL NOT be elected President. A group of far right leaning supporters is not enough to get the job done. It WILL take someone with a certain amount of appeal to the middle of the road, fence straddling, Independent type voters that usually go with crowd. Trump has ZERO appeal to anyone on the other side of these issues. His “if you don’t like it” attitude and “hey, look at me, I’m special, I have money in my pocket” attitude will win him ZERO support from those whom he WILL need in order to pull off this charade.

I pity you, Aimee….I really do. But have a great night….

William has put me in moderation limbo a few times, lol! I never take it personally, I like to be civil.

Don’t bother. Save your grandiose emotional pronouncements for someone who can truly appreciate them. That’s not me.

The best answer to last nights debate I’ve seen, your exactly right. Go Trump 2016

  • LDB101

    u need help…

It should of been a debate of political issues not a investigative report. It was like listening to the Al Sharpton show.

I was just over at TalkLeft to see if there was any comment about Cheryl Mills. Those leftist twits are deep thinkers compared with the bilge in this comment thread. A more whiny, low-class, half-baked, uninformed, junior high school bunch of comments I have never seen. You yard-birds are about as conservative as the Kardashians. I feel sorry for Trump if you lot are typical of his supporters.

you can’t leave a message at fox’s telephone, I have been trying for two days. let fox news know that FOX NEWS was the biggest loser in that show.

  • Feet2Fire

Both nice choices. And neither has a chance of winning. Face reality: The Powers-That-Be have already picked Bush and Clinton to be the candidates. Trump is/was our only chance to deviate from the PTB’s “prearranged program.”

  • Feet2Fire

Probably unfair, but have had nothing but problems with our HP printers, and tend to hold a grudge against anybody associated with that formerly competent outfit. :

All three moderators were supposed to be conducting a DEBATE, not a WITCH HUNT.
There’s a big difference between moderating and manipulating.
BOO FOX! They literally–and deliberately–sabotaged what was supposed to be an opportunity for American voters to learn more about the candidates.

  • oldeagle145

There is a difference between hard fair questions and using questions to push an agenda, It’s obvious that kelly has an agenda. The only agenda that should be in the room are the agendas of the candidates, and they should be able to express them, you know so the people can decide.

  • Heather Barber

    Amen!!!

No, I’m afraid it’s just a computer program. It scans each post for vulgarity, repetition, excessive capitalization, and several other parameter in order to identify spammers and help reduce their spam content on this site. It learns as it goes and once you’ve gotten a low reputation, your comments are far more likely to wind up in the filters. Once that’s happened, the only way to fix it is to make plenty of other comments that don’t look like spam until your reputation rating is restored. So no, it’s not some evil liberal conspiracy. It’s just a very effective way of reducing the incredible volume of spam posts that would be FLOODING this site every day if it wasn’t being used.

The thing is that this wasn’t even a “Debate” in the real sense of the word. The questions posed to Mr Trump were for the most part personal in nature and directed only to him. A debate is what we saw happen between Chris Christie and Rand Paul. I think that is why this has angered so many people some of which weren’t even Trump fans.

Spot on, yes, Megyn used what should have been an honest, dignified forum to take cheap shots and promote a political agenda herself. I’ll now turn the channel any time I see her simply because I no longer respect or see her as credible.

  • Macy

To be fair, on the next debate the moderators should ask the other republican candidates whether they would support the front runner (Trump as of Thursday) as the GOP nominee?

  • BillyBob Bob

Leave her on the panel! I would love to see the precipitous drop in the ratings.

  • pgroup

I also have a close friend in that predicament. But I was not implying that Mr. Newsome was a rainbow boy; only that his idea of publicly acceptable humor was rather juvenile and crude. And that was after he defied state law by issuing faux marriage licenses to fruits solely for pandering purposes.

  • MooTieFighter

I actually like Megyn, but I believe she felt she was going to firmly make a name for herself on this debate. No doubt the elite want him out of the running. They need Clinton or Bush. These are the sell outs that will keep Washington what it is. God forbid anyone come along and really look after American citizens.

  • MooTieFighter

Don’t forget that most all news media is owned by one in the same. This two party system is a charade. They get to accomplish what they want, keep us divided, and still make us think we are making some of the decisions. If you forgot this, the other night should have reminded you of this fact. Trump is a true threat and EVERYONE is going to make sure he is stopped.

  • Wigglesworth

For some reason some people have down voted Rose to get her bumped off the Thread. We just went to Wikipedia about her first comment and it appears there is some truth in Rose’s first statement.

    From Wikipedia:

    Inner circle[edit]

According to John M. Broder, writing in the August 18, 2006, New York Times:[3]

Steve Schmidt, head of campaign from July 2, 2008,[4] veteran campaign manager

Rick Davis, ran McCain’s 2000 campaign

    Bill McInturff, chief pollster

Mark Salter, McCain’s Senate chief of staff

John Weaver, chief political analyst (Left Campaign in 2007)

You Trump supporters worry me. If Donald can’t handle a question about his past comments he’s not ready for higher office, period. It doesn’t matter if you think his off-the-cuff remarks are edgy or raw, historically he’s made some very troubling comments, and not just about individuals. Trump supports single payer, he’s been in bed with corrupt politicians and has no remorse about buying favors, and his “truth-telling” about immigration is a recent shift as he derided Romney for similar remarks just a few years ago. If all you want is to support someone that channels your anger in a populist way then you’re no better than the Cult of Obama© worshippers circa 2007-8.

  • TheGipper

You know what they say, criticize the message, not the messenger. If Trump can’t handle Megyn Kelly, how in the world is he going to handle Hillary Clinton spending hundreds of millions of dollars attacking everything he has ever said?

  • dave0987

Good to know, somehow I’m not surprised. I think a number of us out there are doing the same stupid thing that the Democrats did and let their excitement over the possibility of the first woman president cloud their judgement, and cause them to overlook or ignore critical things.

We saw how well it worked out for the Democrats when they let their excitement for the first black president cloud their judgement and now it seems some of us may be about to do the same thing.

  • bald1956

Anyone who signs such a petition is a LOSER. They are also a moron.

Harry Truman once said, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Trump is merely whining. The questions were fair. He will have to answer them in the future, if he ever gets the nomination.

Idiotic Trump supporters have abandoned going after the nomination and, instead, are choosing to get even with a newscaster host. You people are every bit as thinned skinned as Trump proved himself to be. If Trump was half the person he claimed to be, he would have moved past Kelly and moved back to the GOP field and maybe even Ms. Clinton. Instead, he has become obsessed with Ms. Kelly and has been very juvenile, such as referring to her as a bimbo. To true Trump supporters that will matter not; to thinking Americans, Trump has disqualified himself.

  • bald1956

The “powers that be” do not select the nominee; the people do. When you claim that a singular person is our only chance, you are no different then e morons who supported Hitler, before he was named Chancellor.

  • bald1956

Your main beef is that Trump came off poorly and you whiners do not thin that is fair.

  • Aimee

No, are you familiar with debate protocol? That was not a debate.

  • Leah Keever

I’m quite happy with HP computers and printers — every computer that I need to run Windows is an HP.
Does that mean I have to vote for Carly?

  • bald1956

I watched the debate and the debate was conducted professionally. All of the candidates were asked touch questions. Some fielded them well, others did not. Trump did the worst. Ms. Kelly asked him no question that he will not have to answer in a more hostile setting, if he were to get the nomination. The crux of the question is what will Trump do when those attacks on a war on women are made? Instead of handling it well, he got petty and doubled down on the pettiness.
Had he truly bested Megyn Kelly, he would not be obsessed with Megyn Kelly. He would not be tweeting out that she is a bimbo. He would not be talking about blood coming out from “wherever.” He would be focused on the other candidates.
In reality, he is a rich but thin skinned lower and whiner, with more than a bit of narcissism. His supporters are also losers and whiners, if they are focusing on getting Megyn Kelly instead of the election.

  • Aimee

I asked you a question. Are you familiar with debate protocol?

  • bald1956

I am and it was followed by the moderators. It was not followed by the whining, sniveling, petulant, narcissistic, and arrogant Trump. Quite frankly, if Trump cannot handle this in a GOP debate, he sure as hell will not be able to handle this in the general election and he sure as hell will not be able to handle himself in office, dealing with other countries or Congress. Trump and his supports need to start being grownups.

  • BornFree

By Trump spending millions of dollars uncovering everything Clinton said.

  • Aimee

If you are truly familiar with debate protocol, then you know that mess was not a debate by any currently accepted definition of the word “debate”.

  • CB750Rider

Who would you rather? Candy Crowley?
    She asked some straight forward

Actually, Jeb was a pretty good Governor for Florida. Except for that darn Common Core… ughh. We had that terrible year when we were inundated with terrible hurricanes… August and September of 2004… And the recovery lasted much longer. It was simply awful. You couldn’t have asked for a better Governor and leadership. Everything went as it was supposed to go, and we all worked together. As for the Train situation, they are building a system, but it is full of flaws and setbacks. Constant.

  • Sharon Harris

By the way, I am NOT rooting for Jeb Bush for President! He is near my last choice of what I have seen!

  • CB750Rider

Like the liberals don’t know how Trump really is? How much is MSNBC paying you to troll?

  • pat sawyer

No she did it to herself. She went after Trump with great zeal. Hello I could see the blood in her eyes thru the tv screen. I have been a fan of hers since she was Megyn Kendall but not anymore.

Besides all that stuff was old news about Trump. Ask him an important question. I was quite taken aback at how visibley hostile they all were towards Trump.

I have kept Mr cable subscription for cable mainly for Fox news. Now I think I will cancel.

  • senior74

That is a liberal web site that is pushing this, change.org sounds like Obama’s group come to think of it. I think Megyn was right, if Trump can’t take it from her, what would he do if it were a head of state from another country asking tough questions? He could get us into a global war!!

  • Mercyneal

Really? The lead goose honks and the rest of the geese immediately join the honking chorus?

What a sad commentary on the lack of confidence, plus an unsettling flock mentality, of those twittering little birdies who are doing all this chirping.

As though they think Trump cannot defend himself. Oh, please.

No wonder democrats think they can win in 2016. They see Republicans more interested in bickering among themselves, than in choosing a strong, winning candidate who is impervious to media slights – real or imagined.

  • ECM

It is not “part of the job” to channel Rachel Maddow, nor is it “part of the job” to almost completely ignore Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, etc, which is what happened while they wasted time on superfluous crap about Trump. Or are you suggesting that minimizing the public’s exposure to the other candidates is “part of the job”?

They tried–and failed–to kneecap Trump, which means the debate was basically a flop from any conceivable angle except by making Trump look like the victim of a pile-on, which is definitely not “part of the job”.

  • Teddi

Remember Nixon ? Foreign leaders didn’t like him nor did they know what to expect he’d say or do – yet they feared him because of that – leadership through strength. We need a leader, we need a winner, and we need somebody to make America great again…

That’s not the issue. • Jay Slaughter

Happens all of the time the request is made. Trump’s response made it clear the man is no Republican. He says he will avoid going third party if the GOP nominee is someone he can respect. However, HE is the only person in the world that he respects. So he will be going third party, unless he gets the nomination. You say its all about leverage. You are wrong. It is about putting yourself out there so that voters can decide. Trump does not believe that. Apparently you do not get it either.

  • bald1956

  • Aimee

That is not true. The question is not asked, ever, in a debate setting.

Why do you assume we will vote for Trump? Demanding fairness and balance is not the same thing as an endorsement.

  • Aimee

Demanding fairness does not equal endorsement. Don’t be daft.

  • Aimee

My anger goes so far past anything to do with Trump. 40 minutes b4 Cruz got a question? 70 minutes until the economy was brought up? 30 minutes wasted on moderator chatter? Embarrassing. But hey, the NYT loved it!!! Pfffttt

My oh my that is a different reply from the first one. Did you change your mind and become a conservative all of a sudden?

  • Aimee

Just don’t throw the baby out with the bath water! 🙂

  • bald1956

Bull. It was also affair question, given the noises Trump has made before the debate. Anyway, Trump and his dumb believers need to quit their whining. If Megyn Kelly’s question and the question about supporting the GOP throws Trump so far off of his campaign, he is not worthy to be President. I would suggest you d your self of your starry eyed view of the man and look at him and others more objectively.

  • Aimee

  • Sean

Supporting and voting for are two different actions, and at this point in the campaign cycle it’s far more important for conservatives to support candidates that are actual conservatives rather than get all hot and bothered over a blowhard that happens to speak in populist tones. If you’re goal is to promote fairness than giving life to Trump’s campaign and his own ego out of anger against the establishment will only end in another establishment candidate.

  • bald1956

    How about a relevant inquiry?

  • liberalwithcommonsence

  • Aimee

So you want to control the outcome?

  • bald1956

YOu are in a position to demand nothing. As a relevant question, I will answer.

  • Burnt Toast – served cold.

  • He’s using that as Leverage so that the Republican Party does not try to take him down. I personally think we need to do away with parties altogether and let each candidate stand on their own two feet. Why should Trump have to pledge allegiance to the Republican Party this early in the game when it’s OBVIOUS the “Establishment” wants him to go away. Yes, it IS all about Leverage. He stated that and I see clearly what he means by it.

  • If FioRhino was fired from Hewlett Packard how can she handle the WH job, what a joke. Soon as she was fired, HP made the money lost back quickly, does that say volumes. Did she have her hand in the cookie jar?

  • Exactly!

  • I did!

  • LOL

  • Alaskaninfidel

    I don’t know. Did she?
When did you stop beating your dog…or did you ever beat it?
    Same thing. Conjecture.

Your nonanswer is my answer. Thank you.

Look carefully and you’ll see that a wide variety of news outlets are listed there. Putting them in a list of “favorite media” doesn’t imply support for their content or ideology. It simply means they are important sources of information. Know your enemy …

  • You might have a point….

  • Bubba Gump

Would you even know what the constitution even says and means? So many of you trolls have came out of the woodwork in support of Trump it only reinforces my stance that he is in it for the betterment of the DemocRATS and has nothing to do with what he says because he is just bloviating to sway enough votes to get the hag elected. His motive is to garner favor for business purposes in return.

The whole point of a campaign is for the people to control who they want for their candidate.

  • witnesstothecarnage

    I’m a troll? You haven’t the faintest idea what’s happening around you…

  • Buck Nut

Rose, it has nothing to do with “the folks at gateway” or other users flagging your comments. The majority of your comments are being caught in the Disqus spam filters. Disqus scans each comment posted for vulgarity, repetition, excessive capitalization, hyperlinks to certain web sites, and several other parameters in order to identify spammers and help reduce their spam content on this site. It learns as it goes and “keeps score” on each user based on the number of comments that wind up in the filters. Your score is very low now, and once you’ve gotten a low score the filters become more aggressive and your comments are far more likely to trigger the filters. The only way to correct that is to keep your comments unique and free of excessive capitalization or hyperlinks. Those types of comments won’t trigger the spam filters and eventually, your score will go back up, the filters will loosen up, and your comments will post normally.

But people can’t do that without information. Everyone is well aware of Donald’s personality. We wanted to hear his plans for the economy, etc. At least I did. I already knew the tabloid stuff.

Thanks! I try to see all sides but know I’m flawed and fall short. I’m just trying to bring more light than heat…

  • rreactor

I could buy that in a heartbeat. I just know how much heat Cruz is going to receive. The MSM and K Street hate him and will all they can do to paint him as a radical.

  • rreactor

She is one of the most recognizable and successful women in America. She’s smart, savvy and tough. If your objections are more about her appearance, then it says more about you than it does about her.

  • rreactor

Nope, don’t buy it for a minute. The PTB are going to lose this time just like they have many times in the past. Yes, the big K Street / Wall Street money is behind Bush and Clinton, but both are folding fast and it’s real early. Trump is good for generating heat but doesn’t provide much light. He can’t help himself cuz’ he loves himself some Trump. He will wear thin especially if two or three of the other candidates tap in to the frustration he has so correctly identified.

  • rreactor

I’ve followed her for a long time. I believe she is trustworthy. The dispute that got her fired at HP was typical corporate boardroom maneuvering. I’ve taken note of where the criticism comes from and I’ve formed my opinion.

No more Puppets, We need the Puppeteer. Trump for President.
