Imagine the sense of superiority it takes for a liberal white man to lecture a black man on how to think black.
Now imagine the sense of superiority it takes a British liberal white man to lecture an American black man on how to think black.
Then, imagine the supremacist sense of superiority it takes a wealthy British liberal white man to lecture a successful American black man on how to think black while said wealthy British white liberal man is being filmed lecturing the successful American black man on how to think black while the aforementioned wealthy British liberal white man sits in the back seat of a chauffeur-driven limousine while being driven around London and then putting the video of the lecture on You Tube for all the world to see.
And then imagine the racist attack by the wealthy British liberal white man being filmed while he sits next to a seven year old child in the back of the chauffeur driven limousine.
Imagine all that and you would have British comedian Russell Brand lecturing author, Fox News contributor and member of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board Jason Riley on how to think black.
Riley authored the recently released book, Please Stop Helping Us; How Liberals Make It Harder for Blacks to Succeed, published by Encounter Books.
Brand thus takes it upon himself to haughtily mock Riley in a 10:22 videotaped commentary on events in Ferguson, Missouri where an unarmed 18 year old black male robber was shot dead by a white police officer this month in an incident that has drawn international attention to race relations in 21st Century America.
Brand posted the video, entitled Ferguson: Is White Supremacy The Real Offender? Russell Brand The Trews (E129), last Friday the 21st of August.
The main subject of Brand’s video is Fox News. Brand spends the first four minutes of the video responding to comments by white Fox News Channel host Greg Gutfeld about the situation in Ferguson, Missouri. At no point does Brand bring up Gutfeld’s race. He just engages Gutfeld on the merits.
Brand then shows a clip of Jason Riley being introduced on an episode of Fox News Special Report as the author of Please Stop Helping Us; How Liberals Make It Harder for Blacks to Succeed.
Brand immediately launches in to a racist attack on Riley:
“…author of the book, I Am a Convenient African-American Who Will Betray My Racial Roots for Fox News.”
Brand does spend time discussing points made by Riley about Ferguson on holding black society accountable for its dysfunctional behavior saying that it kills blacks more than does bad cops, but Brand resorts to racist attacks again and again.
He mocks the title of Riley’s book again as “We Deserve to Be Shot.”
Brand goes on to say, “Could he act any more of a Richard Pryor doing the voice of a white person type voice?”
And, “He’s getting the work because it’s not often you can find someone willing to take such a freakish stance.”
And in closing, “I imagine he lives in a white neighborhood that fellow…(gibberish)… I’m a white person, I’m outraged almost racially by this sense of betrayal.”
