Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) proposed a national buyback of guns this week.
The Washington Examiner reported, via Free Republic:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said that she and other gun control advocates are considering a law that would create a program to purchase weapons from gun owners, a proposal that could be compulsory.

“We are also looking at a buy-back program,” Feinstein said today in a press conference. “Now, again, this is a work in progress so these are ideas in the development.”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., already discussed the possibility of a buy-back law for his state, but he made clear it would be a forced buyback.

“Confiscation could be an option,” Cuomo told The New York Times yesterday when discussing semiautomatic weapons. “Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”

  1. there are going to be a lot of dead officials if they think they can subvert the constitution…it doesn’t say you need a permit issued by government to keep and bear arms.

  2. A people that fear their government is a dictatorship, a government that fears its people is a democracy. The fear and freedom reign.

  3. I FIGURE THEY WILL PAY IN EBT CARDS. WELFARE CARDS, FOR THOSE LIBERAL ELITES THAT DO NOT KNOW ABOUT AMERICANS IN WELFARE.

  4. Sorry Senator, the Second Amendment is not for sale!

  5. “…a proposal that could be compulsory.”
So, they want to force us out of our 2nd Amendment but protect our 5th Amendment right against takings.

  6. dang all my firearms were burned in a fire. sorry i dont have any

  7. Go straight to hell you slimy Communist bitch! There’s no way you’re getting my weapon. Period.

  8. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) proposed a national buyback of guns this week.

When it comes to wasting money on absolutely unnecessary government programs, Democrats are extremely difficult to beat.

  9. “We are also looking at a buy-back program,” Feinstein said today . . .

That’s what she sees when she has her head up her ass.

  10. Another Progressive attacking our Constitution and thinking Big, Powerful Government is soooo smart and efficient. Reminds me of the NYT’s Headline during Sandy lambasting Conservatives and claiming that only Big Government could adequately address Sandy. I think there are still people in New York that don’t have electricity or heat. Some one said Sandy was “Katrina on the Hudson.” The NYT will never address the inability of FEMA and the Federal Government re Sandy because it is too busy writing about how out-of-date the Second Amendment is and how our guns should be confiscated and harsh gun controls adopted.

  11. Capital Hill should be a ‘gun free’ zone, no police, no ‘Feinstein’ concealed carry, nope – nothing. Then the nation would be a safer place, no doubt.

  12. biggest mistake ever made was giving the government the printing press. It can print all the money to buy back all the guns, they have the capabilty, it isnt fiction. Money wont be diverted from other programs, it will just print more money.

  13. Leftist hypocrites are a clear and present danger to all American citizens.
“Flashback: Sen. Dianne Feinstein Has Conceal Carry Permit”

“Chinese State Media Demands US Citizens Be Disarmed”

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
    - Benjamin Franklin

We must preserve our rights under the Second Amendment in order to preserve the Republic.

  14. Typical Democrat. Spending the peoples money in a manner that they see fit regardless of the fact the the people don’t want their money spent on friviolous programs that will do nothing to fix some problem that they think is important. I have an idea Diane. Have all your bodyguards and any secret service members that may be guarding you go ahead and put their guns in this sale too. Stupid bitch!

  15. Vile creature

  16. “….to PURCHASE weapons from gun owners…..”

    ———

It’s not a “purchase” unless gun owners are allowed to refuse the offer.

Offer and acceptance analysis is a traditional approach in contract law used to determine whether an agreement exists between two parties. Agreement consists of an offer by an indication of one person (the “offeror”) to another (the “offeree”) of the offeror’s willingness to enter into a contract on certain terms without further negotiations. A contract is said to come into existence when acceptance of an offer (agreement to the terms in it) has been communicated to the offeror by the offeree and there has been consideration bargained-for induced by promises or a promise and performance.

  17. “The Importance of Prosecuting David Gregory…” (Legal Insurrection)

I still have not heard back from the three NBC News communications executives I e-mailed just after noon yesterday asking for the position of NBC News on whether the ammunition magazine was real and whether Gregory violated the law.

But assuming, as Gregory stated, that the magazine was for an AR-15, then why shouldn’t Gregory and the staffers to and from whom the magazine was transferred, be prosecuted? Particularly in light of Gregory’s aggressive demand for more guns laws.

Certainly, if LaPierre had shown up with that magazine, there would be howls of gotcha, and widespread media demands for prosecution. Why should NBC News and its star be above the law?

    There’s another lesson here.

Gregory’s possible violation of the law was exposed by the conservative blogosphere, which also pointed out that Gregory sends his kids to a school with armed security at the same time he was mocking the NRA suggestion of armed security in schools.

We have to do more of this, investigating the investigators and inquiring of the inquisitors. It’s one of the legal insurrections for 2013.

  18. Just got my new AR-15 and I can tell you Americans are certainly screaming for more gun control, evidenced by the fact i’m limited in availability for scopes, magazines and ammunition everywhere i look, after striking out at 2 local gun shops and Wal Mart I was lucky to find the last five boxes of ammo at Blue Collar Workwear……………….Oh and neither of my Second Amendment protected rifles are for sale!!
