The DNC used corporate cash at their corporate convention this year despite pledges by top party officials only to use money raised from individuals.
ABC ran a report on evil corporate money at both conventions this year.

The AP reported:

The Democratic National Convention relied on at least $5 million in corporate donations, despite repeated pledges by top party officials only to use money raised from individuals.

Reports filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission show the convention’s host committee, Charlotte in 2012, raised $24 million, well short of its $36.7 million fundraising goal.

To help make up for the shortfall, committee officials spent $5 million raised directly from corporations to rent the cavernous basketball arena used as the convention hall. They spent nearly $8 million more from a line of credit provided by Charlotte-based Duke Energy Corp., the nation’s largest electricity provider.

Top Democrats, including Democratic Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had pledged prior to the 2012 convention not to raise money from special interests and to cap individual donations at $100,000.

  2. Words, just words…

Liars have this habit of – LYING.

  3. Dems lie -

  4. Well, some Dems are sociopaths, others are compulsive liars, some are pathological liars, some chronic liars, some habitual liars and some probably belong to more than one group. What they have in common is that they are Democrats.

  5. I like how that article link from above says “A Duke spokesman said stockholders, not rate-payers would be on the line if the convention’s host committee defaults. But the head of the committee said it may never have to draw on the money”…………………………….WRONG…..bend over rate-payers….you are now paying for more of this LOSER-IN-CHIEF and his drinking and pot smoking bing at your expense………

  6. Identifying a problem is one thing. What’s the alternative?

  7. No corporation eats deficits. Like taxes, they pass them on to the consumer.

  8. The truest gage of enthusiasm is donations.

  9. I’ll repeat it again – never, EVER, give Democrats the benefit of the doubt.

If there is any uncertainty as to which path they will choose, count on them going the dishonest route.

  10. That reminds me of something amazing in the local paper, recently. San Diego Gas & Electric has most of its power transmission lines above-ground, and summer is fire season. Anything that can cause a spark can cause a mess, and high winds cause power lines to spark. The latest big fire season was 2007, and the county and the utility just reached a settlement where the utility will pay big bucks.

This led to a discussion about electricity rates. One woman wrote in to the local paper in deep umbrage at the thought that the cost of the electric company’s alleged negligence would be passed on to her. She thought the company should eat the cost. I was tempted to write in and ask what other potential sources of funds the utility might have besides its customers, but gave it up as futile.

    You can’t fix stupid.

What’s really happening here, of course, is that insurance companies are suing to recoup payments they made to the homeowners who had policies with them.

  11. Sorry for the confusion, I failed to refer to post #5.

    Obama’s Actions Contradict His Words

[The people who think and/or understand that Obama misled them were more than superficially repulsed by his debate behavior. But for me, it was when he looked at the people seated in the gallery and passionately told them that he would not tolerate terrorist attacks. And, as if the moment could have been more surreal, he called the victims of terrorist attacks “his people”; he said he’s the one who meets their coffins when they return.

That was the final straw for me during the debate because, you see, our brave military men and women do mean something to me. I do not hold elected office nor do I aspire to, but I’m an American who is proud of our service men and women. Their sacrifice means far more to me than a photo-op–but that’s exactly how he has used meeting the flag-draped coffins bearing the remains of our fallen.

He made the statement about the fallen military being his people with a straight face even though he has done nothing but show contempt for our military except when having a photo-op with them was of benefit to him.

Don’t take my word for it ask Mrs. Smith the mother of Sean Smith who was murdered by Muslims who Obama said were upset over a movie. (SEE: http://www.reagancoalition.com/articles/2012/20121012001-benghazi-mom.html)

Ask the families of the fallen Navy Seals killed in Afghanistan for whom Obama showed his care and concern by sending them form letters signed by electronic pen. (SEE: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/08/obama-honored-fallen-seals-by-sending-their-parents-a-form-letter-signed-by-electric-pen/)

Ask the wife of Sgt. Shawn Manning who is fighting to have Obama allow the military to classify the Fort Hood terrorist shootings as an act of terrorism so her husband and those wounded can receive better benefits. Ask Obama why he permits a Muslim terrorist to continue to receive his full salary of $6,000 per month while he awaits trial for his terrorist shootings at Fort Hood which left 13 dead and 30 some wounded. (SEE: http://www.examiner.com/article/wife-of-ft-hood-victim-obama-ignores-our-plight-never-called-us)

Ask the service men and women who have been wounded and those who bear the invisible wounds of battle how they feel about a military ship being named for liberal congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, instead of one of their own.]

too much money in politics, the entire damn world could be saved with the
money wasted on people with money running for office.. but at least Mitt
Romney doesn’t use “we the people’s” taxpayer money on implementing
dreams from his (call him maybe) father.. /sigh sarc/
