Catherine Herridge: State Department Culpable in Death of Ambassador & Three Americans (Video)

FOX News foreign policy analyst Catherine Herridge told Greta Van Susteren Wednesday,
“From what I see the State Department has culpability in the death of the US Ambassador and three Americans.”

The warnings to the State Department were:
** Specific
** Direct
** They named the enemy
** They said the consulate needed more support

This followed the damning memo that was released today signed by Ambassador Stevens in August and sent to the State Department. The classified cable on August 15 warned the Obama Administration that the Benghazi consulate could not withstand a “coordinated attack.”

You must see this:

Catherine Herridge:

“What I see is a growing body of evidence that the State Department has culpability in the death of the ambassador and those three Americans. The warnings were specific. They were direct. They named the enemy and they said that this consulate needed more support. And it also indicated in the cable that the consulate should probably move long term into the annex. We now know that’s the CIA facility in Benghazi… I think it’s important that the people who died have themselves honored with the facts and I think we’re starting to get the facts.”

This whole operation was at very least, murder. The sad thing is that the guilty will never be punished for this crime. Another internal investigation will exonerate the guilty and place the blame on the victims, this is how Washington DC works. We keep harping on transparency, but a little truth and honesty would sure help.

Curious that there is a tremendous amount of secret and classified emails and cables being leaked out lately.

The Right Question Is – “Why?”

    by Mychal Massie

[The question is not why did Obama, et al, move to cover
up and obfuscate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The question is why was Stevens allowed to be killed and why were
Smith, Woods and Doherty allowed to become collateral fatalities?
That is the question we need answered. That is the question that
    the media isn’t asking.]

Why Was Security Stripped in Benghazi?

    by Clare Lopez

[Whatever the thinking that left a U.S. mission abroad so undefended that
it practically constituted an open invitation to Al-Qaeda, and then, in cold
blood, refused to launch military support in defense of Americans fighting
and dying to defend U.S. sovereign territory from jihadi assault, the cover-
up is fast becoming the worse failure. It is time for administration leaders,
from the president on down, to explain both their actions and their failures
    to act.

    Humanitarian Hypocrisy

[First, a report exposed, in the words of the Turkish Coalition of America, “Turkey’s continued interest in expanding business and cultural ties with the American Indian community” and “Turkey’s interest in building bridges to Native American communities across the U.S.” Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., even introduced a bill that would give Turks special rights and privileges in Native American tribal areas, arguing that “[t]his bill is about helping American Indians,” and about “helping the original inhabitants of the new world, which is exactly what this legislation would do.”

The very idea that Turkey’s Islamist government is interested in “helping American Indians” is preposterous, both from a historical and contemporary point of view. In the 15th century, when Christian Europeans were discovering the Americas, Muslim Turks were conquering and killing Christians in Europe (which, of course, is why Europeans starting sailing west in the first place). If early European settlers fought and killed natives, only recently, Turkey committed a mass genocide against Armenian Christians. And while the U.S. has made many reparations to its indigenous natives, Turkey not only denies the Armenian holocaust, but still abuses and persecutes its indigenous Christians.]

    “The Gulen Movement”

[When Gulen came to the U.S. in 1999, it was for medical treatment.
But then this video surfaced in which he seems to order his flock to surreptitiously take over key government positions in Turkey in a stealth Islamic coup. Accused of treason by the government at the time, Gulen decided to stay in the Poconos — even after he was cleared in 2008 in Abstenia.

    [..]

Seeming to have such power, this “Wizard of Oz” recluse invites conspiracy theories that he’s running Turkey from the Poconos and is bent on global Muslim domination. His movement does lack transparency: its funding, hierarchy, and ambitions remain hidden — leading our State Department to wonder in cables between Ankara and Washington if Gulen has an “insidious political agenda.”]

A memo signed by Ambassador Stevens is not in and of itself evidence of a pending terrorist attack….
Its about as actionable as an internet posting by Al Quaida taking credit for a video protest that turned violant.

Catherine Herridge is a real Ace. She’s the best terrorist, and Middle East expert I’ve ever seen. Thank God she’s on Fox News where they let her tell her stories.

What happened to the 30 people who were rescued because of Ty Woods’ heroism? Where are they? WHO are they? Why haven’t they spoken up? Someone called in to the Hannity show tonight asking the same things. Hannity cut her off, dodging the questions.

One of the things Stevens had been trying to track down were portable MANPAD missiles, a Russian version of the Stinger which we may have routed to the Libyan rebel groups during their civil war.

This was probably why Obama wouldn’t send in the AC-130s, for fear of losing one. Even landing a transport chopper at the airport (which was secure, at least) with a SEAL or Ranger team might be subject to this risk on approach since the terrorists would be expecting it.

Drones aren’t well suited to the sort of cover needed, if we had sent an armed one in. The first on the scene was diverted from watching the nearby Qaeda camps (yeah, I know) and ran low on fuel. The second came from Italy unarmed, why is anyone’s guess.

Bottom line: Obama was afraid of another Desert Storm debacle, so close to the election. So he decided to watch them die instead.

BTW, there were 32 Americans who survived, so we had a lot of people at risk.

From everything I’ve read it wasn’t Russian missiles Stevens was rounding up, it was OURS. And there is at least some evidence for that going back many months. There have been repeated mentions in the press of the US arming the rebel groups in various countries in the Mideast, including Libya. Too bad nobody noticed those “rebel groups” are actually al queda.

OK so according to the media

There was a Presidential Daily Briefing given to Bush a couple months before 9/11 that said, “bin Laden determined to attack in the continental US” and from that he ‘personally’ should have been able to determine exactly what was going to happen down to the names of the hijackers and flights numbers of the airplanes.

Now the Obama administration was basically told who, what, where, when, why and how about Bengazi but now we are told by the same media, “There just wasn’t enough actionable intelligence.”

Really? The MSM is a criminal front group for the Democrat Party.

It’s not just the State Department. Ultimately, the buck stops with the head guy in the White House, whether he likes it or not.

Excellent point, Fionnagh. Where ARE the witnesses to the entire event who survived it?

  • But is she not missing the point?

Both SEALs fighting were on contract with the CIA and working for State. BUT even if the CIA and State answered their call for military back-up, the military could NOT proceed with their MOBILIZATION unless it has AUTHORIZATION TO CROSS INTERNATIONAL BORDERS.
And only Obama holds the scepter of that authority: only the Prez can give permission for destroyers and gunships and blackhawks to cross an international border.

Because crossing an international border with a military force, without permission of the nation invaded, is ONLY up to the President. BIG BIG BIG RED-LINE.

This is the key question. Did he or did he not grant CROSS-BORDER AUTHORITY? And only military men are asking it. WHY IS NOBODY in the mainstream media ASKING THIS?

How could Catherine Herridge miss that basic point??

Make no mistake: There WAS a Rescue Operation on the Way to Benghazi

  • Jimi Streets

With each passing day my heart breaks for these four brave souls who had to live their last months in dire fear for their lives as virtual sitting ducks and all the while pleading for help from the cold-hearted bastards in the White House that never came.
Only God and those murderous dirt people know exactly how our people died, but the photos of our Ambassador being paraded thru the streets, show he was beaten and likely tortured into a bloody mess. The Muslim Murderous Marauders no doubt desecrated their bodies as is their hellish custom.
Then I think of the disgusting behavior by Obama, knowing EXACTLY what he DIDN’T do to help, sending his Lilliputian Army as they lie continuously hoping to make it to the election without any “damage” to his campaign. Their can be no more important issue, in the Lilliputian King’s mind, than his own continued reign over his misbegotten subjects.
This is his just and rightful place in this world, that is until they elect a king of the world

I’m not sure how much more disgusted I can become with this bunch. Every day we get another lie, every day something new surfaces about what happened in Benghazi and none of it makes sense. I surly hope that after Tuesday the 6th our country can get started again to some sense of honesty. I wonder sometimes. What I do know is that I am completely fed up with this low class bunch running this country. All of them.

  • Amjean

We are the United States of America! We do not need permission to rescuse our
    people who are being murdered.

And those of you who think otherwise are just plain wrong, or leftie tools.

  • Two things.

One, as I’ve blogged, this is all about the principle “All things are connected in life” that I believe in. My buddy puts it another way “Nothing happens in a vacuum”.

Obama tried to push a narrative that he was smarter than everyone before him by taking over Libya without American life lost, with international help, yada yada. “Look at me, I’m sooo much smarter than the others!” With that he drops the microphone and goes “Boom!” like on the SNL skit.

He did that because he can’t run on his screwed up domestic record. So HE, and I mean Obama, sets up the environment that led to the murders by insisting we treat Libya like it was Jamaica, a resort nation with no more problems than a few ganja smokers.

However, Libya is full of terrorists, we know that we were told that during the civil war when we were sending arms to the “militias” which looked suspiciously like Al Qaeda organizations. Still we did it, it bit us and now what does Obama do?

To hide the seriousness of the attacks, he refuses to allow a larger response, but hopes the units on the ground can repel the attackers. Why? A mobilization of air assets is something you can’t hide or minimize.

That left about a dozen good guys with light arms against 150 heavily armed and experienced terrorists who had the advantage of night and position.

This would be akin to Custer being able to tell President Grant that there were a lot of Indians massing and the President saying “Uh, let’s not tell anyone, we don’t want to frighten the people, this is an election year. You handle it.”

“But Mr. President, there are eight thousand of them.”

    “So?”

    “And we have about 300.”

“Well do your best and remember, we’ll be there if you need us.”

    “uh huh…”

“Aw come on, would I lie to you, your my favorite general!”

Two- Once the situation fell apart, and the terrorists won the battle and faded back into the city, and the damage was realized by the administration, a calculated effort by Obama and his people was put forth to obscure and obstruct the truth.

And if he gets thrown out, he’ll learn what Nixon learned, it is always about the coverup.
