Paul Ryan Slams Obama: “I Mean, Turn on the TV and It Reminds You of 1979 Tehran”

Paul Ryan blasted Barack Obama today saying the Middle East looks like Tehran during the mob protests on the US embassy in 1979.
It certainly does.
The Hill reported:
Paul Ryan delivered a blistering speech against President Obama on foreign policy Monday, saying because of the president’s policies, the Middle East looks like Tehran during the mob protests on the U.S. embassy in 1979.
Ryan, speaking in Lima, Ohio, was referencing Nov. 4, 1979, when Islamic revolutionaries in Iran attacked the U.S. embassy and took more than 50 Americans hostage. Ryan said that Obama has failed to fulfill promises to bring peace to the Middle East.
“I mean, turn on the TV and it reminds you of 1979 Tehran but they’re burning our flags in capitals all around the world. They’re storming our embassies,” Ryan said.
Romney and Ryan have both strongly criticized Obama over foreign policy in the aftermath of attacks at U.S. diplomatic sites in Egypt and Libya that resulted in four U.S. officials dead in Benghazi, Libya. Ryan continued to criticize Obama in comparing the 2012 embassy attacks to the 1979 attack during his speech.
“We’ve lost four of our diplomats. And what is the signal that our government is sending the rest of the world? We’re being equivocal on our values, we’re being slow to speak up for individual rights, for human rights, for democracy. We’re seeing countries stifle freedom in Iran, in Russia, and all these other areas. And we’re saying we’re going to gut our military — that projects weakness.”
1979 may end up being a best case scenario.

On CBS (a network not known for its conservatism): Obama said Libya and Egypt were a “bump on the road”. He said our high unemployment was also a “bump on the road”. He claimed Israel’s concerns about Iran’s nuclear intentions were “noise”.

Paul, but you don’t understand. WE remember 1979 differently than Obama. While I (his same age) was in my college dorm watching Ted Koppell’s Nightline with other American Patriot kids, getting ready to vote Reagan for my first ever presidential election, Obama was getting high somewhere with a bunch of Marxist wannabes. He wasn’t from America, he was busy coming here to take advantage of what we had to offer “foreign” students…but he didn’t care about our diplomats overseas, our embassy Marines or how his people, the Muslims, saw our presence there after the revolution. He didn’t care then, and he doesn’t care now, not even as president. He can talk the talk, barely, but his eyes and heart are cold to the facts and to the evil perpetrated on his own ambassador. It’s just a bump for him. And he thinks we are so dumb we’ll believe his lies.

It also reminds me of BLACK HAWK DOWN – especially in the ways that Bill Clinton – and Hillary and Obama all denied Security Forces the MEANS to protect themselves and their assignment.
Doing it the “FIRST TIME” with the memories of Vietnam raging high at that time due to Bill’s involvement with anti-Vietnam War protests and riots – was INEXCUSABLE.
