The Obama Campaign will attack Mitt Romney’s business record before the debate this week by sending out a phoney GST steel employee to bash the Republican nominee. David Foster spoke against Mitt Romney at the DNC too.
David Foster’s first line at the DNC:
“I’m David Foster and I was a steelworker for 31 years.” (He forgot to mention he was a union organizer and not an employee of GST steel.)

But David Foster never worked for Bain or GST. He was a union organizer.

The Politico reported:

The Obama campaign will deploy a group of surrogates to go after Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital record in the days surrounding the first presidential debate on Oct. 3, a campaign official said Saturday.

Among those surrogates will be multiple ex-employees of companies owned by Bain. Randy Johnson, the former Ampad worker who spoke at the Democratic National Convention, will campaign in Wisconsin on Oct. 2 and 3. Former Dade Behring employee Cindy Hewitt will appear in Florida on Oct. 3 and 4. And David Foster, who was a union negotiator for workers at the Bain-owned company GST Steel, will visit Ohio on Oct. 3 and 4 and join some of Johnson’s events in Wisconsin.

But former “steelworker” David Foster never worked at GST or Bain. He was a union organizer.
ABC reported on this during the DNC convention:

David Foster was never an employee of GST Steel’s Kansas City plant. He was employed by the United Steelworkers of America as their regional union director to represent GST Steel, but was not employed at our facility,” according to BC Huselton, who was head of HR at GST.

Instead, Foster was a union organizer, who negotiated for workers that did work for the company.

  1. If the Dems can play crooked, so can we. The question is…do we have the ba!!s?

  2. Union organizer!

  3. Never let silly inconvenient things like ‘facts’ and ‘truth’ get in the way of a Totalitarian takeover of a nation.

    Tool up.

    It’s coming.

  4. smells of desperation.

Kool-aid is weak this time around………….

  5. RealMc, I was thinking the same thing. Obambi’s people can’t get him to practice, so they know they’re at a disadvantage against Romney, so they need a distraction…..oh, look, a squirrel!

  6. I hope they’re paying this lump more than $11.00/hour.

  7. Since Foster isn’t a public figure or a candidate for public office, isn’t he treading close to the liable/slander red line, and is he not also close to violating FEC rules by misrepresenting himself as a former Bain employee for the express purpose of creating false political ads? Even ordinary advertising has to display a disclaimer (this person is not a doctor) when showing someone who appears to be a doctor or some other professional but is actually just an actor.

  8. Does he get a free “PHO” in the deal…?

  9. Wasn’t there a steelworkers’ strike that was the tipping point for taking GST down? And wasn’t Bain being run by a bundler for Obama when GST was closed?

Romney team: Hammer on the real facts of GST. And counter with people who have their jobs today because of Bain Capital.

  10. They are still pushing Socialism. Repeating the same old song. UNTIL AMERICANS ARE BRAINWASHED.

Repeat it and for some reason, YOU WILL BELIEVE.

Too many Americans have made up their mind. This is desperation. Obama is a FAILED president. Shameful, deceitful and no credibility to lead. I COULD BE SAYING THE SAME THING ABOUT OBAMA BACK IN 08. I have and still believe in all honesty I am right.

Can this fake employee say that and could he, could he stand before God and say that. DOUBTFUL

  11. The proper response is to keep asking the questions, and posting the answers.

Good job, Jim. Here are a few more questions to ask.

  12. The Unions are a big headache in this country and I for one think they should be eliminated completely. And I can say this in all honesty because I was part of one and they did nothing for me. Except take you’re dues so that the upper class could get the money and do what they want.Heck they don’t even let the people make up their own minds it’s forced on them who to vote for etc they are a bad rap for this country

  13. Like any of those who Obama uses as props to his campaign have any truth in what they say. Sandra Fluke who is a 30 year old college law student feels it is OK for taxpayers to pay for her birth control. David Foster is the union goon organizer that more than likely was the overwhelming cause the GST operations were closed. It is called profit and productivity. And when unions mess with that, you get what you deserve…a closed plant.

  14. Simply point out the 130,000 or so jobs lost when gm closed 10 factories and closed 1100 dealerships and screwed bond holders, 10,000 non union Delphi pensions and cost taxpayers $54 billion and gave union thugs stock and made thir members whole. Gm also illegally was allowed to carry forward $8 billion in losses after the bankruptcy. Bain kept that steel plant alive for about 4 years when they bought n tried to save them. God why is this so hard? They keep saying level playing field. Think Honda, Ford, toyota and others feel the field is level?
