Krauthammer: “Akin’s Gotta Go…There’s Enough Stupidity in Congress” (Video)

Charles Krauthammer weighed in on the Akin controversy tonight on Special Report.

“He’s gotta leave. He’s toxic… There’s enough stupidity in Congress. We don’t have to add to it in this large amount.”

    No, it does not. McCaskill is very unpopular. The only way she could win is against this idiot who made the stupid comment about rape. As a matter of fact, since Missouri has an open primary, McCaskill and the Democrats put Mr. Akin over the top in order to have her run against him. McCaskill *wanted* to run against Akin, and now we can see why.

    He needs to realize that this election is about saving the country. It is not about one man — him –no matter how much his ego is involved. If he runs and loses, and as a result we fail to get rid of Obamacare, he will be reviled by Republicans, and the country will eventually go into fiscal default.

    Akin needs to resign, and come back to run another day.

    Do you Missourians realize that if Akin steps down the Missouri GOP committee will choose his successor? Do you think they will not pick some good ole’ boy that will do the main line Republicans bidding? I doubt they will pick the guy that came in second. A couple of the people they are suggesting to replace him are close to 80 years old it seems and have retired in the past. Lord only knows which is worse.

    I know that, but if the Republican Party tells him to go away and never come back, he’ll be even more likely to dig in his heels, on the premise that it is his last chance.

    This guy has an ego problem. I’m scared to death that he will make it all about him and not about the country. Many politicians psychological profiles match the profiles of sociopaths. I’m starting to wonder if this is one of them.

    Anyone who defends Akins’ comments is as stupid as he is. If he stays in the race, he becomes a lightening rod. The Democrats will point to him as an example of Republican mysogyny and contempt for science and education. It may not be true, but it would be good strategy. He’s got to go.
