Missouri Senate Candidate Todd Akin is to hold a press conference at his headquarters today at 4:15pm central time.  No other information has been released, Jim Hoft will be at the press conference.  More details to come later.

The presser will be at 229 Chesterfield Business Parkway.
Am hearing he’s staying in?? But why a Friday afternoon presser then? If he does announce he’s staying in I’ll be the one booing in the background.

    I hope he’s dropping out. No matter how you feel about the man’s comments and the reactions to those comments, it’s impossible to deny the negative impact he’s having on his race and on the Republican brand. He’s a distraction that needs to be removed.

    One would hope the last 2 Rasmussen polls for the Senate and Presidential races respectively knocked some sense into him. It’s one thing to jeopardize control of the Senate. He’ll be the most hated man in the country if he costs the GOP that. But if he’s so toxic that Romney actually loses the state(and likely with it the election), he’ll have to go into witness protection come November 7.

    I think The Right To Life groups have been pushing him to stay in. This election is so important no social issues should be up front. The DNC’s convention is set up to take advantage of Missouri’s huge mess. The DNC convention should be titled Women For Free Open Sex and Free Erasure Of Mistakes resulting from such actions. Women are so stupid collectively when in a group, no wonder they have been beaten down since the beginning of time. To vote for Obama and McCaskill when things are so bad in our country just so they have free access to birth control and abortions shows how short sighted they are.     I’ve just went through all the St. Louis media sites, KSDK Channel 5, KMOV Channel 4, and KTVI Channel 2, along with the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

    The links are on the ride side of the page, under, “Favorites From Gateway City & Area”. There is nothing on those sites about him dropping out.

    My guess, and it’s only my guess, is that he’s digging in, will ask for his supporters to stick with him, and will release another apology/correction in what he said.
