Nice work, Hallmark! Greeting-card company attacks the Tea Party in latest graduation card.
Because being a fiscal conservative is a bad thing.
World Net Daily reported:
Hallmark, the greeting-card company that lays claim to making “the world a more caring place,” is under fire for producing a graduation card emblazoned with an image of Barack Obama that warns graduates to stay away from the tea party.
Now some are even calling for a boycott of the company, though Hallmark insists its line of political-humor cards is not meant to offend and pokes fun at both sides.
The card in question says on the front, “You graduated! Time to go to a lot of parties!”
And on the inside, “But avoid those tea parties if you can. Trust me.”
The 102-year old company carries this disclaimer on its website: “Never, ever do we intend to offend, be hurtful, or make social or political statements with our products.”

Oops. I wonder how many Hallmark retail store owners don’t support Obama. Probably quite a few.

Political Graduation Card
We know that some people have expressed concerns about one of our humor cards that references President Obama and tea parties. That line of cards has successfully poked fun at both sides of the political debate for many years. It is never our intent to offend anyone. We apologize if anyone was offended.

The tea party is the only chance for most graduates to get a job after Oblozzo’s spending.

What? Geez. :/

Don’t buy many Hallmark cards because they’re unappealing but now I will make a concerted effort to avoid all Hallmark cards, wrapping paper, ribbons and stationary.

#9 … “Don’t buy many Hallmark cards because they’re unappealing but now I will make a concerted effort to avoid all Hallmark cards, wrapping paper, ribbons and stationary.” … AGREED. Besides, the cards, etc… from the dollar stores are nice and I only spend a buck rather than 5!
Sue commented:
I don’t buy hallmark cards anyway. They are too overpriced. There are just as many off-brands that are just as pretty and sentimental.
Robert commented:
How about this one:
“You graduated! Your whole life is ahead of you.”
Inside shows payment book;
“Payment for deficit year 2012, year 2013, year 2014 … year 2025 …”
or this one:
“You graduated! Great!”
Inside;
“MY party, the Democrats, need the money from YOUR party this week.
Welcome to the USA, Union of Socialist Americans.”

For those interested: hallmark.com/online/ scroll down to the bottom under “our company”, then “contact us”. At the top of the page of “contact us” is a blue tab labeled “answers” and then a gray tab labeled “email us…” I emailed them my distaste for their political statement.
Pistol Pete commented:
We apologize if anyone was offended
Typical liberal apology.’We apologize if you’re too ignorant to appreciate our superior intellect and cutting edge humor, thats your problem.’
How many democrats actually graduate high school anyway?
snap boy commented:
Robert, love the sentiments!
Red commented:
Obama: “Congratulations, now endorse all your graduation checks over to my campaign!”
Pathetic and desperate.
Hallmark cards are so cliche. I stopped buying them years ago.

I haven’t purchased, nor let anyone in my house purchase and bring in here, anything from Hallmark for years. The Dollar Tree by us has greeting cards 2/$1.00. We get all wrapping paper, bags, tissue paper, decorations, mylar balloons etc. there. This past Father’s Day my 6 kids and I bought my hubby, dad and husband cards from there. He was so touched. He said both of them, religious themed, were the most precious cards he had ever read. Not a dry eye at the table. (And he keeps them both in his Bible now). Noone needs Hallmark. Which probably explains why the Hallmark store that opened by us closed after 3 months. We thought it would last 6, it didn’t.

Remember how fast a ‘solar system’ related graduation card that had been on the market for years was pulled after the NAACP found the term ‘black holes’ offensive? Who’s anti-science again? I keep forgetting.
I think the reason the ‘black holes’ card was out there for years before the NAACP noticed was because someone in their family actually graduated for once.

hah, he hasn’t kept any of his promises, not to mention being
caught in yet another lie, and he’s asking his base to trust him..
again, see the reverse going down, they may still be stupid, but
after witnessing 4 years of Obama, they can’t possibly be half as
stupid as they used to be.. ergo, i’m leanoing towards pot being
legalized at the last minute, iow: like the first week of Nov, just
before the next Selection takes place..
who knows, some adult children might actually detest having to live with
their parents until they’re 26 or for the rest of their lives for that matter..
