Every single state that elected a Republican governor in 2010 saw their unemployment rate drop.
FOX Nation reported:

In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.
Since January of 2011, here is how much the unemployment rate declined in each of the 17 states that elected Republican governors in 2010, according to the Examiner:

Kansas – 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%

Maine – 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Michigan – 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%

New Mexico – 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%

Oklahoma – 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%

Pennsylvania – 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Tennessee – 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%

Wisconsin – 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%

Wyoming – 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%

Alabama – 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%

Georgia – 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%

South Carolina – 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%

South Dakota – 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%

Florida – 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%

Nevada – 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%

Iowa – 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%

Ohio – 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%

Let’s not get distracted by the facts. Did you know that Romney has offshore accounts? Yes. It is quite horrible you know.

  • I bet none of those governors attend the official state visit in September.

What official state visit in September ?

Actually, I bet none of those governors are even invited to the official state visit in September.

What official state visit in September ?!?

This official state visit in September: Mohammed Morsi is coming to town.

Unfair on the 0.9% national decline. Remove all states with Republican governors and then determine the national decline.

    thanks, you made my day.

  • maybe unemployment is down in their states because their policies differ from the democrats we want all your money policy.

The key to this story is that the drop in unemployment in states that elected GOP governors was BIGGER than the national average drop.

  • Woody Pfister

The percentage declines in unemployment are actually much higher than shown here.

If the Kansas rate dropped from 6.9% to 6.1%, the 0.8 difffernece is actually a reduction of 11.6%!

Further evidence that democrats are destroying our country… Now with Obama, we’ve got the first anti-American President who is trying his best to kill our country… and us.

Red States are the last refuge for economic literacy and freedom. Economic “experts” in the whitehouse have grifted their way through life and are now making economic policy for us all..

If things aren’t turned around soon, its over

Every single state that elected a Republican governor in 2010 saw their unemployment rate drop.

See how easy that is, Libs?

    Now try this:

Socialism always fails. Check out Europe. Or read this:

    Catching on?

Re link at #28 — In case you refuse to click on it:

Socialism ALWAYS makes people less free and less prosperous. ALWAYS.

No surprise: prosperity is a by-product of liberty.

NEED MORE PROOF? Look no further than Europe today: the nations whose economies are collapsing are the more socialist ones; the more welfare giveaways a nation has – and the bigger burden it places on the productive and industrious people – the poorer it becomes until the sovereign debt demolishes it. Greece. Spain. Italy. THE EU ITSELF.

The EU never had the “Bush Tax Cuts For The Rich” or two “unfunded wars”.

But they’ve been run the way the USSR was and California and Illinois are still run today – not the way Germany was or Indiana or Texas or South Korea or Hong Kong are run.

It’s not that Germans are better genetically than Greeks anymore than South Koreans are genetically better than North Koreans.

    It’s the socialism, stupid!

Let’s hear more from Astute Blogger, before the above-quoted conclusion:

And every one of these scientific experiments shows socialism always fails.

–Compare the USSR (1917-1989) to post-Soviet Russia: same people: same resources – but different results; one causes poverty, the other causes prosperity.

–Compare North Korea to South Korea: same people; similar resources – though perhaps the North had more before the armistice), but again: very different results. South Korean has become RICH.

–Compare Hong Kong to pre-Deng Xiao Peng Red China: same people, but Hong Kong had LESS resources; yet Hong Kong became RICH.

–Compare West Germany to East Germany and you get the same answer.

Goods news for these Republican states. However, if the Republicans don’t get their messaging straight, these Republican govenors will inadvertently hand the election to Obama and the Democrats. The Democrats will use this data to convince many gullible Americans that the improvement in these states, many of which are critical swing states, are due to Obama’s policies, not the policies of the Republican govenors. Messaging will be critical in these states!! Republican govenors, make your voices loud and clear, and take credit for the improvement. Don’t let Obama steal the cake.

  • I’m not a racist; I don’t like Biden or Pelosi either

#34 – you’re right, I’ve already heard the Dims take credit for these numbers. Seems like the GOP is always playing catch-up.

Also – the articles on “Socialism always fails” — why do you think so many on the left vehemently deny Obama is a socialist.

The Dems are many things; dumb isn’t one of them.

  • Beef

@ #34: The irony is, as you noted, the election of Republican governors in key swing states like Ohio, Iowa, and Florida, along with states like Wisconsin and Michigan, may cause enough improvement in their economies to give Obama the election.

The Republicans can message all they want; 2/3 of voters pay absolutely no attention to politics. If unemployment in their state is down, they’ll figure it must be due to Obama.

That being said, if America winds up being dumb enough to re-elect Obama, I will be advocating for the splitting up of the country.

    Oh, this sucks!

I am trying to kill as many jobs as possible and the Republicans will not get on-board! Republicans are obstructionists!

Let me be clear, this is the reason why I have Democrat Jerry Brown as Governor of California – the largest and most wasteful state in the Union.

Democrat Jerry Brown has been put in place to counteract this menace of Job Growth in Republican states! Jerry Brown has done his best to kill as many jobs as possible. So, far it has worked!

Democrat Jerry Brown is also doing well at diverting cash into wasteful projects such as the high-speed train wreck to my nowhere campaign! I thank him for the money!

I know California is suffering – so what! They always vote for the donks. Why should I help them?

If you like Jerry Brown’s wasteful spending and the 0bamaTax then vote for me! Send me $3.00 before midnight.

My Enormous Black Bus is crushing voters in the Midwest. It will be coming to your state soon. David Axelrod and my campaign donors suck. If you will like to see them under my bus – wait for further details. I strive to run-down as may people as efficiently as I can. Good day.

More hilarious half truths from the right…from bls.gov, which tracks unemployment rates of the 50 plus dc and purto rico…1 state’s unemployment rate is the same as it was end of 2010, ALL OTHER STATES plus dc & pr lower. Doesn’t surprise me, just more lookit what we did politics from the party whose policies we’re still digging out from under.

#39 limo barry, ca unemp rate down nearly 2 percentage points…

  • Luis L Montemayor Sr

It appears that all Democratic Governors are too busy signing people on to Welfare by Obamas order!! He, Obama, wants more welfare recipients this time around,
obviously they dont have the time to manage the States problems, just helping Obama get
more people on welfare on the hope that they all will vote Democrat next election….
If that is not enough proof of the incompetence in Federal Government tell me what is!!!
