GOP Senators Pressure Holder in White House Security Leaks

Thirty Republican senators signed a letter today to Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate the recent security leaks.

FOX News reported:

GOP senators are putting the pressure on Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate whether the White House is responsible for national security leaks.

“The numerous national security leaks reportedly originating out of the executive branch in recent months have been stunning,” according to a copy of the letter to Holder, signed by more than 30 GOP senators and obtained by Fox News. “If there were ever a case requiring an outside special counsel with bipartisan acceptance and widespread public trust, this is it.”

Among the concerns about the leaks are recent news reports regarding the United State’s drone attacks in the Middle East.

Their letter points out the recent New York Times story about the drone program and its list of human targets states the reporting involved interviews with “three dozen of [President Obama’s] current and former advisers.”

It suggests that Thomas Donilon, the national security adviser, is a likely source in The Times reporting, considering he is “the commenter of record on events.”

The letter to Holder comes the same week the GOP-led House is expected to vote on whether to hold him in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with subpoena requests to provide more documents regarding the Justice Department’s failed Fast and Furious gun-tracking operation.

    investigate this:

[So therefore, regardless even if the information didn’t come
from the Obama administration and they somehow got it on
their own, they went to the Obama administration, and the
Obama administration okayed, according to this author, the
specific release of that information or else he would never
    have released it

Too little too late. These are the republicans Axelrod refers to when he speaks of ” liberating ” those who want to work with Obama but can’t cooperate due to ” extremist ” conservatives who view that as betrayal. These senators have been tacitly empowering Obama all along with their feigned and intentionally inept oppositions . They just can’t show their real face to their constituancy and stay in office…. so they pander, pose, and pretend to be doing something for the people who vote them in. Turth is even with all that Obama has done to this country and the world, these Republican frauds still have nothing but contempt for the conservative on the street and what we want to see done.

Spineless leaders refuse to hire people better than themselves. They feel threatened that star performers will show them for who they really are. Their practices weaken and demotivate. Ultimately this weakens the organization’s product or service.
They hide behind, and manipulate self-appointed committees to get what they want. This mitigates the ramifications of the decision they want to make, and allows them to escape the responsibility for that decision.
The decisions they do make seldom put stakeholders first. These stakeholders can be customers (a business leader), constituents (a politician), or students (a school administrator).
They dodge the truth and avoid the tough decisions by asking questions – superficially seeking the opinions of followers. Too many “What do you think?” questions are nothing more than avoidance.
They answer questions by beginning their response with, “That’s a good question.” This gives spineless leaders time to choreograph a political response that either fails to answer the question or does so in vague terms.

Maybe some leaders are finally growing a spine. So, much we have had to endure. Being Called Racists, enough is enough of that garbage. You need to own up and admit your failures and Obama and his lapdogs are continuing the same old rhetoric. WE ARE RACISTS? Obama is a black president. WE ARE RACISTS, Grow a spine and start owning up to the failed administration.

  • Patty

When you are fighting an uphill battle, you don’t turn away, you must keep on and then, you and I both will win the war.

Blacks are lying to America, these leaders are only looking for a fight then best not get into.

They nor Obama is above the law.

Enough is Enough. Same rhetoric and they well, listen to Fox now.

  • Patty

Since Obama became president this issue of Race as been in every single conflict.

It is becoming demeaning and ignorant for Blacks, not all, to repeating this tired and old narrative over and over again.

Americans are getting sick of it and for that reason they may not vote for Obama. Not because they are racists. But because they are sick of being called RACIST. Oh, yes, after the win of Romney that will be all you here. But once this nation gets back on it true virtues and responsibilities it will pass. But never completely. They spew hate, those who just won’t ever let it go.

Leaking super-spy Valerie Plame’s top secret identity was a real security threat to this nation, but this is just republicans over reaching, again…….

Well, why do they have to wait for Holder to do something? Couldn’t these guys invite the national security adviser to a special hearing of their own? Or am I missing something?

  • Chris W.

Wait, McCain is a Republican? When did this start? He’s been McRINO for years.

  • democraps suck

  • Joanne

This is laughable. Holder is still there – he isn’t going anywhere, no matter what he does. The GOP can’t even get this guy canned, but they want him to investigate security leaks?

Thirty Republican senators signed a letter today to Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate the recent security leaks.

    Pointless gesture.

If these people had any smarts, they’d put this on their back burner for now and concentrate on helping to replace as many congressional Democrats as possible with members of their own party (preferably with nads), and replacing Obie next November. Then once January 2013 rolls around, launch the investigations after Obie’s replacement is sworn in. If any malfeasance is found, and I suspect there will be, prosecute every single one of those involved to the fullest extent of the law.

    Cut them no slack.

by way of doug ross…… interesting little bobble. [But there’s another scandal you should know about. For over one year, he has refused to hand over documents about the Muslim Brotherhood network in the U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee’s…..] seems the same documents were provided to the defense team.

[Three prominent Muslim-American organizations were labeled by
the federal government as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the trial
-the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic
Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic
Trust (NAIT). The documents requested by Rep. Gohmert for the
past year were provided to the Holy Land Foundation’s defense
team, yet are being denied to Congress.

“They are terrorists, and we wanted the documents you gave to
the terrorists. We are a year later, and we still don’t have them,”
complained Rep. Gohmert. Holder replied that he’d only provide
    what is already available publicly.]

    that is unfathomable..

something is very wrong.. either half (#34) have their fingers in the
cookie jar while the other half (#23) have their heads up their butts,
or they’re ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO DECEIVE WE THE PEOPLE, imo, we have become a nation of cowards led by cowards.. God help
    US,.. 🙁

was just a sample, there are way too many links to post, thanks]
