Oh libs, please!
If the lamestream media is going to carry Obama’s water so openly this year, lets hope they’re at least getting paid. Yahoo today continued to pound on the 45 year-old story that Mitt Romney… Yes, this Mitt Romney…

…Was some kind of demented child criminal.

Never mind the fact that the story was contradicted by an automobile magazine. And, never mind the fact the family sees this political hit as further victimization of their deceased family member.
The lib media is going to run with it anyway.
Yahoo reported:

A high school classmate of presidential candidate Mitt Romney told ABC News today that he considers a particular prank pulled at Michigan’s Cranbrook school to be “assault and battery” and that he witnessed Romney hold the scissors to cut the hair of a student who was being physically pinned to the ground by several others.

“It’s a haunting memory. I think it was for everybody that spoke up about it… because when you see somebody who is simply different taken down that way and is terrified and you see that look in their eye you never forget it. And that was what we all walked away with,” said Phillip Maxwell, who is now an attorney and still considers Romney an old friend.

“I saw it with my own eyes,” said Maxwell, of the anecdote first reported by the Washington Post . Maxwell said Romney held the scissors helping to cut the hair of a student, John Lauber, who was presumed to be gay and who had long hair. “It was a hack job… clumps of hair taken off.”

Maxwell said he held the boy’s arm and leg, describing he and his friends as a “pack of dogs.”

Asked if Lauber was targeted because he was gay, as reported by the Post, Maxwell said, “We didn’t know that word in those days… but there were other words that were used. We weren’t ignorant, we just didn’t use the current names for things.

Romney has since apologized for what he said were “pranks” in high school but has said he doesn’t remember this specific event. He added that “homosexuality was the furthest thing from his mind” when it came to the jokes he played on classmates. He laughed off the 45-year-old anecdotes during the radio interview today.

Asked if he has any doubt that what Romney did could be considered bullying, Maxwell responded, “Oh my god, are you kidding?… I castigated myself regularly for not having intervened. I would have felt a lot better about myself had I said hey, enough.”

“When I saw the look on his (Lauber’s) face, it was a look I’ll never forget,” said Maxwell. “When you see a victim, the sense of trust betrayed in this boy who was perfectly innocent for being different.”

“This was bullying supreme,” he said.

Maxwell told ABC News that he is a registered independent, generally votes for Democrats, but has voted Republican in the past. He said he would have voted for Romney’s father, George Romney, had he won the presidential nomination. He says he has not donated to President Obama, nor has he volunteered for him.

Meanwhile, the media is completely ignoring Barack Obama’s attack on a fat nerdy black girl in high school.

And, just think, the real campaign is just starting. We’ve got six more months of these shameless media attacks.

  1. This is character assassination, pure and simple.

  2. Anyone who’s read my comments here, and at other conservative blogs know how much I dislike this marxist and all he stands for. Not only was he a bully as a kid – he is still a bully, and his victims today are the citizens of this country. He exhorts his followers to consider anyone disagreeing with him as his enemy, and encourages those followers toward agressiveness towards us: “get in their faces”, “bring a gun to a knife fight”, etc. In exposing his acts to the uninformed, we need to be careful to be accurate, lest what we say come back to bite us in the butt.

I’ve read Obama’s biography – “Dreams From My Father”, written by Bill Ayers. He was indeed a bully, and the “shoving” incident was related in the book. However – it took place when Barry first started at the Punahu school, in 1971. He was 10 years old, and in the fifth grade – NOT in high school.

He needs to be taken down – our country needs to prevent him having a second term – we need to be rid of him. We have plenty of ammunition to discredit him – solid, undeniable ammunition.

  3. The Professional MSM Poop Scoopers have been establishing their ‘facts’ this way for years. One of them write it and then the rest quickly quote it, possibly add another ‘fact’ and it is recorded for history.

What I have found the most maddening is to hear a bunch of Repubs repeat the lies as if it’s truth. They repeat some of the lies on blogs, people who should know better and then I listen to people like Mr Bill repeat some such as the Tea Party spit on those civil rights leaders marching through the million. He also still says that crap about Breitbart doctoring up that clip on Shirley Sherrod. FACTS that the Poop Scoopers set in concrete.

At least 75% of what I read about Bush was 24/7 BS serving as daily headlines for DEMS. Repubs started repeating that BS as if it were gospel. The first line of attack has to be against MSM, not DEMS. That is the power lever and finally, finally it is happening.

  4. For legal purposes Obama should be declared white in this case of obvious hate crime by assaulting a perfectly innocent black child!! Call in Eric Holder, Al Sharpton and the entire DOJ. White President commits hate crime by shoving and assaulting a black female minor.

  5. It seems to me that if this story is true than Lauber’s family would remember it, particulary if it happened the way this Maxwell guy tells it.

  6. What I find hilarious is that every ridiculous attack on Romney by the Obama Machine is shortly answered by a just as ridiculous episode in The Won’s life.

  7. Barry has only nerf bullets left, and it is only May. By November, he will be accusing Romney of not cleaning his plate at mealtime, or feeding unwanted food to his dog under the table, or maybe sticking chewing gum under the lip of the dining room table.

The seriousness of the allegations requires a full investigation. You go, Barry!

  8. I am glad to see that after months and millions of dollars spent on dirt digging….the shovel ready media got NOTHING. They cling to extreme pettiness in a world of big problems proving how unfit they are for leadership.

  9. Would this be the Phillip Maxwell who gave $1000 to the Edwards campaign in ’07? I’m sure he’s a reliable source.

  10. Oops, looks like that’s a different Maxwell.

  11. It’s hilarious that they did and dig and dig and dig to find dirt on Romney and this is what they come up with!? An immature high school incident?? These leftists are an absolute laughing stock in their deperation.

  12. GGMac 3

You make a good point, but I don’t entirely agree. This is now a mud fight, and it’s going to be one of the muddiest we’ve ever seen. Romney is no McCain, and the mud is going to be flying for the next 6 months.

We Conservatives know who we’re voting for. The libs know who they’re voting for. It’s the uninfomed and apolitical who are undecided. If the libs are trying to win them over with half-truths and insinuating headlines where there’s no story, then I for one won’t be insisting that any kind of rules of engagement be followed. We only have until November to persuade a block of voters who clearly don’t have strong opinions or care enough to dig down to the facts, so I say fight fire with fire.

In the mean time, our guy is getting peppered with lies, misrepresentations, and unsubstantiated stories from his past. You won’t win that kind of war with fair play.

There is plenty to go after Obama on, and a great amount of it substantiated. I don’t care if a fine detail is dropped here or there. We can sort out all the facts in December, if you’re still interested.

  13. Was the guy actually gay, or was that just the perception of those participating in the prank? I played HS football, basketball and baseball. All freshmen were initiated in every sport, aka hazed(it was more like assault)! One kid’s nose was broken, and one was scalded by hot water in the shower. This was commonplace in the seventies when I attended HS.
I’m not condoning any of this behavior, and I never took part in hazing. At 5’6″, I never intimidated anyone. But, if you were small or perceived as weak or effeminate, you were picked on—period! It wasn’t right, but it was considered part of the HS experience.
To judge someone’s actions based on today’s bullying standards is ridiculous, and totally a political hack job.

  14. Guys,I need to confess…I TP’d (toilet papered) a neighbors tree when I was 9yo..I have felt horribly shame for the leaves that were killed because of my BULLYING that tree and thoughtless actions..Someday ,I hope the world will forgive me
