Freedom Of Expression Prevails… Secret Service Rejects Nugent Allegations

Nothing to see here, Liberals…move along. So says the Secret Service after being instructed to investigate the comments made by Ted Nugent at the recent NRA conference in St. Louis. In his vent against Obama and the dangerous tyranny he is unleashing on America, Nugent said he will “either be dead or in jail by this time next year” if Obama gets reelected. Never mind the 1st Amendment, Liberals exploded and demanded Nugent be investigated for using “threatening rhetoric toward the president”.
But, while the Secret Service was investigating Nugent’s nebulous words of frustration, climate alarmist, Steve Zwick, was calling for fellow radicals to track global warming skeptics and “burn their houses down”.
According to Infowars,
Writing for Forbes Magazine, climate change alarmist Steve Zwick calls for skeptics of man-made global warming to be tracked, hunted down and have their homes burned to the ground, yet another shocking illustration of how eco-fascism is rife within the environmentalist lobby.
Comparing climate change skeptics to residents in Tennessee who refused to pay a $75 fee, resulting in firemen sitting back and watching their houses burn down, Zwick rants that anyone who actively questions global warming propaganda should face the same treatment.
“We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies. Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay. Let’s let their houses burn. Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands. Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices,” writes Zwick, adding, “They broke the climate. Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?”
But, there were no screaming tirades from the Liberals to investigate this violent and overt threat of terrorism against a population of American citizens. That’s because the Liberals would have the freedom of the First Amendment shrivel in its protection of Conservative expressions and have it apply only to them.
This is a successful tactic already implemented outside the United States. For a glimpse into a world without the fundamental right to freely express ourselves Mark Steyn has written extensively exposing the horrors of other Western countries’ militant crackdown under the guise of “hate speech”. Gagging Us Softly is one example, revealing Canada’s “micro-regulation” of speech and the oppressive persecution of the writer for “Flagrant Islamophobia”. Steyn’s closing paragraph is below:
As John Milton wrote in his Areopagitica of 1644, “Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties.”
Or as an ordinary Canadian citizen said to me, after I testified in defense of free speech to the Ontario parliament at Queen’s Park, “Give me the right to free speech, and I will use it to claim all my other rights.”
Conversely, if you let them take your right to free speech, how are you going to stop them from taking all the others?

Just want to point out there’s a big difference between threatening to burn down people’s houses and advocating for a policy in which they’re allowed to burn down without assistance of firemen.
It’s a dumb idea but it’s obviously not a threat or a call to violence. I would hope the intellectually superior conservative movement would be able to sort out the difference.

Something interesting in Zwick’s dangerous rant: “Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay.” He’s talking about the deliberate shortage of food. (We were warned about that. See Agenda 21 and other moves and piles of EPA and other regulations churned out by the regime.)
Perhaps Mooch’s obsession with non-existent “food deserts” is actually meant to create them, rather than eliminate them, in order to bring angry, “disenfranchised” and hungry people from the inner cities to riot and “burn houses”.

Some day soon, there will be the truth about this Administration and wrongs done to our nation. I only hope I will live through that day. The stories we have heard from Fluke expressions of her opinions, Ed Schultz, his rants on ripping the heart out of Cheney, Media field day with Sarah and her family, Hillary Rosen and her rants about Ann Romney, Obama, they bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun, Black Panthers threats on Zimmerman and his family, Secret Service and Hookergate, Fast and Furious. Obama Care and Obama attacks on Supreme court, Congress, GOP, Women and GSA, clowns, hot tubs and fortune tellers.
From pleading the Fifth Amendment when it is good for the left, criticism of stay at home moms, the left seems to be expression the rights under the Constitution, yet Obama believes he can mandate law that every individual must buy health care.
A pattern that seems to be gaining popularity when it is good for them. This entire administration needs to be clean out from top to bottom. They called President Bush everything in the books and now, no accomplishments to set this nation straight other than hate, anger, death threats, racism and we are still in the worse debt in history.
There is a pattern and someone needs to step in and do something right now for the future of other generations because we and they are suffering through the most immature and inactive government in our History.
The only thing that has been accomplished is our freedoms every day being ripped away.
People are angry, they are crying for a president to do the work of the people he or she serves. Pent up angry isn’t good but use common sense and intelligence when expressing your opinions and your voice.

Nugent’s words were not nebulous. He made an overt threat against the President. It is proper for the Secret Service to investigate.
This has no relation to Steve Zwick. That is just a red herring you are throwing out.

Here, Mattie, let me translate for you, because you don’t seem to understand the context from a 2nd Amendment advocate’s point of view:
“We’ve already seen how this administration is willing to cheat, and even kill, to disarm the public. Naturally, Ted Nugent’s remarks as quoted to us were much crisper, probably because we are hearing only snippets of a much longer conversation. The difference between your version and mine is that mine fits what I know about his character and concerns, and yours doesn’t.
