It wouldn’t be a Hollywood award’s ceremony without a little conservative-bashing.
It took Billy Crystal about 45 minutes to mock Republicans tonight at the Academy Awards.

I am not impressed with Hooker Kardashian teens. Yet, they bombard the media waves and spill over into my computer time.
I am not impressed with the hatred of the male to the point where all that Hollywood reveals that they are good for is their sperm.
I am not impressed and haven’t been for many years.
I quit the TV habit and perhaps if others did, we could stop professional liars from making bank off of us, then turning that money into campaign dollars to destroy America.

bg #1: You nailed it. I’m astounded at the racism behind Crystal’s “dark knight” language but then again, what do you expect from Hollywood? Even black ministers are calling Obama out as a modern day Caligula, the ultimate narcissist and psycho. And of all in the political field, Obama’s the only one I know who confessed to doing lines of coke (and very likely dabbled in crack).

that was drudgery to watch and Crystal made a joke that there were no black women to hug but 40 miles away from Beverly Hills(as in cleaning ladies)! He must have been on crack himself. he is fat and not funny. Haven’t paid for a movie in 4 years but Act of Valor I will pay for. Screw those wealthy anti-Americans with self congratulations for dressing up, wearing make-up and reading someone else’s lines and getting millions for it. Brain dead!

I haven’t had cable TV in years; network TV is unavailable. I wouldn’t watch this pathetic attaboy night for mediocre movies if you were to pay me. Really, to watch a bunch of smarmy, smug jerks patting themselves on the back for largely crappy movies–who needs it? The last movie I went to was Pirates of the Caribbean last year and that was only for my daughter, and I thought it was awful. Just too much off-the-charts action, it was cliche by the end of it. Before that it was Bee Movie, not too bad, actually. The self-absorption of Hollywood is just so unappealing. I’ll go to see Act of Valor, and I’m looking forward to whatever Bill Whittle is going to put out, but I just don’t need Hollywood otherwise.

For the last year and a half, we don’t watch crap on TV, we don’t go to movies and we don’t rent DVD’S. And we’re doing just fine.
The purpose in doing so was to withhold any support for today’s Hollywood and their products. Other folks are free to do as they wish, but as far we’re concerned – Hollywood is dead.

Haven’t been to a movie theater since Saving Private Ryan. Haven’t watched the Oscars since they gave Best Picture to Annie Hall over Star Wars.
In short, I have absolutely nothing to do with Hollywood.
Why people continue to give their time and/or hard-earned money to a bunch of self-absorbed tools never ceases to amaze me.

That joke fell so flat. It came not 10 seconds after the Iranian filmaker spoke of those who politicize the arts…did anyone else catch that? Here we had a possible political moment when the Iranian documentary won…the accepter gave a lovely speech talking about rising above politics and finding the better road and the next thing was Crystal making a bad, bad political joke. The joke was on him.
On another matter, if you haven’t read Pamela Geller’s report on the SEAL movie, you need to. She says the bad guy is a Jew! I think the Hollywood producers screwed the SEALS, making the bad guy NOT a Muslim terrorist, but a Jewish one! I haven’t seen the movie, love SEALS (have one in the fam) but WHY is the bad guy Jewish? Propaganda, too subtle even for most conservatives to note.

Honestly, these people have serious psychological problems which allow them to do what they do so well, tap into multiple personalities to perform. One only has to look at how many film failures come out of Hollywood these days to see what failures they are. Keep your money in your pockets folks and watch these weasles squirm! Have you noticed that Hollywood doesn’t HIRE men actors anymore? It was plain how bad it has become when they had to go overseas for men who looked like males to act in Blackhawk Down.
We won’t be able to see Act of Valor until summer… which probably means wait for the DVD. Oh well.
Hard to believe the amounts of money they waste on crap they produce to employ themselves that no one wants to watch.

We really do need to boycott them all. I don’t pay to see any movie starring any person whom I can remember ever having made an uber-liberal or anti-Conservative comment.
But then what good is it if they don’t know we’re proactively not seeing the movies?
They just assume it was the ads, the ratings, the weather, or whatever else, or they simply don’t miss our ticket money.
