He must have liked how Newt man-handled the media in the debates this week.
Chuck Norris threw his support behind Newt Gingrich this week.
WND reported:
Chuck Norris, identified this election as the endorsement most sought after by Republicans, says he’s throwing his considerable influence behind the campaign for president in 2012 of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich because “we need a veteran of political war who has already fought Goliath.”
In a new column published on WND, Norris explains he agrees with Gingrich’s statement that there is no enemy this year but Barack Obama.
Gingrich had explained, “We have no opponents except Barack Obama. I think that’s very important.”
“I’m tired of watching our country being torn to shreds by those who think the answer is more government debt and control. I’m tired of being in bondage to a tax system that robs U.S. citizens like the King of England did before the Revolution,” Norris writes. ”I’m tired of watching our sovereignty being sold by foreign loans and loose borders. And I will not sit back and merely watch this decay and degradation of the U.S. and then hand it over to my children and grandchildren to deal with.”

Wow, another republican committing suicide in the 2012 election. Since we are defaulting the 2012 election, should we begin discussing candidates for the 2016 election.

Gingrich will definitely go for the throat and not back down. He’s the nuclear weapon in the presidential contest. Romney is the diplomat and we had one of those in 2008 and he lost! Santorum? I’m bothered that he didn’t win his own state! What happened with that? Was it just O’s coat tail? Also, I don’t think Santorum can stand up to the relentless harshness and will cave. Not through any fault of his own. Just….he’ll be beaten down by the end of the process. Gingrich has been through the wringer, came out fighting, again and again, and can talk on the fly. Sometimes that’s not a great thing and he has to walk it back. Sometimes its right on the money. Romney can talk about anything because he’s had a position on everything on each side. No wonder nobody knows who to vote for. And Elmer Fudd aka Ron Paul has 1 good idea – get rid of the Federal Reserve. Anything else out of RP’s mouth is BS. IMO.

Video: Canadian Talk Show Host Destroys Obama Over Keystone Decision
This is great stuff. I was going to add it as an update to the previous post on this topic but it deserves its own headline. Ezra Levant hosts a show, The Source, for Canada’s Sun News. In a very well-researched presentation, he takes a comprehensive look at Obama’s idiocy over the Keystone Pipeline. Be sure to watch the whole thing and pay particular attention to the map of the alleged “pristine, environmentally sensitive area” through which the pipleline will pass. I don’t know who this guy is, but he certainly did his homework.

Its not just the debt, dammit, its his abuse of executive power to heap regulation on business, its his expansion of the government to more and more of my life. Debt is a CONSEQUENCE of the problems, not the problem its self. Its a symptom of a greater sickness.
Patty commented:
Mitt Romney, for example, doesn’t make small talk with reporters about sports, the news of the day or the food at his events like Gingrich. No one gets close enough.
The contrast between the two couldn’t have been any clearer than Wednesday, when Romney stopped at a BBQ joint to shake hands and approached a family with a basket full of hush puppies. When a Washington Post reporter innocuously asked Romney if he planned to try one, the staff cut him off, insisting it was an off-the-record stop.
When the press tweeted about the incident, angry emails were dispatched from the former Massachusetts governor’s staff to offending reporters.
While Romney won’t take questions outside the safety of controlled press conferences, Gingrich is perfectly comfortable in unscripted situations, content to make small talk while working the public at events.
In New Hampshire, when he visited the world’s longest candy counter in Littleton, Gingrich was asked by a reporter about his favorite candy. He didn’t think twice: gummy bears.

I am for Newt, have been for quite a while. But if Romney is the nominee, I will work for his election, period. I am more concerned about having an Obama administration that is not concerned about a re-election campaign in four years.
This is what the left wants, all of us fighting and not daily focusing on all the damage Obama has done and getting THAT message out. Support whomever you prefer of this final four, but when the dust settles, in the name of all thats holy, we need to come together and defeat Barack Obama in a way that leaves no doubt about the wishes of the American people.

If you don’t vote for “anyone but Obama”, you might as well vote for Obama! The 2012 election is the most important election ever for our country — we cannot afford four more years of Obama. If you think the damage to our country and our Constitution that Obama/Pelosi/Reid have done since the 2008 elections is appalling, can you imagine what he will do if he wins in 2012 and doesn’t have to worry about campaigning for the 2016 elections! Four more years under Obama will make the last three years look like a cakewalk. America will be Europe and “We the People” will be serfs with only the freedoms the Progressives/Socialists permit. I, for one, do not believe I can live with the Teleprompter-in-Chief and his supporters who want Other People’s Money.
Taqiyyotomist commented:
I have to disagree with Gingrich on one point here:
Gingrich had explained, “We have no opponents except Barack Obama. I think that’s very important.”
We have no opponents except Barack Obama and His Media Empire.
And the schools. And the film industry. And the television industry. And the book-publishing industry. And the rest of the so-called “Arts”. And ACORN-spinoffs. And New Black Panther thug pieces of dogs&&t.
Those are some of our opponents.
Soon the bricks, rocks, and molotovs will be flying through Republican campaign headquarters nationwide, at the explicit behest of the aforementioned groups.
What’s the Intrade odds on the number of these incidents occurring between now and November? I’m guessing (based on the last two presidential campaigns) that it will be, by november, greater than 100 acts of vandalism against Republican headquarters.

ht mcc: Newt-Goldwater 1976
[Long before there was a mighty Republican machine running Georgia,
there was a handful of brash conservatives plotting to lift their tiny,
financially struggling party so they could end more than a century of
Democratic dominance.
Among the chief architects was Newt Gingrich, a West Georgia College
assistant professor who ran for Congress three times in a blue-collar
district – twice against an entrenched Talmadge Democratic incumbent
- before finally winning.
Gingrich, now a presidential hopeful, traveled West and North Georgia
during the 1970s and ’80s, preaching the Republican gospel and arguing
that the GOP had to choose between remaining a silent, permanent
minority or aggressively taking the fight to Democrats.
He chose confrontation and played the role of
provocateur, unwilling to accept second place….
U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Savannah, calls Gingrich an “indispensable early
trailblazer” for Georgia Republicans. Kingston remembers his college days,
when Gingrich came to the University of Georgia to recruit students to
get involved in GOP politics.]
Gingrich engineered the first Republican takeover of the House
of Representatives in 40 years – followed by the first balanced
budget in 40 years.

(b. 1943)
A member of Congress for 20 years, Republican Newt Gingrich was speaker
of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. Regarded as the
chief architect of the Contract with America, he was also considered a major
force behind the 1994 victory that established Congress’s first Republican
majority in 40 years.
Interview conducted Spring 2001
Newt Gingrich
[NEWT GINGRICH: It was personally painful in the sense that you hated to be demonized, but you have to make a decision early on: Are you in the business to achieve change, or are you in the business to be popular? I thought my job was to be the executor of the American people's will on very specific things -- balance the budget, cut taxes, reform welfare, strengthen defense, modernize the House of Representatives.]
