Yesterday the Los Angeles Times attacked Gateway Pundit for reposting a picture of Michelle Obama as a pompous queen picking her next upscale vacation getaway.

Today John Nolte at Big Journalism called out the LA Times for projecting their own racism on this blog.
Christopher Knight writes for the “Culture Monster” a column over at ”The Incredibly Shrinking L.A. Times,” and guess what our progressive friend sees when he looks at this innocuous and obvious political cartoon of First Lady Michelle Obama:
Believe it or not, Mr. Knight sees an “uppity Negro.” Those aren’t my words, those are his:
The caricature of Obama as a profligate queen relies on the racist stereotype of an “uppity Negro[.]“
Who other than someone with their own disturbing prejudices would look at that obvious piece of political satire hitting the First lady up for her excessive and lavish vacationing and think “uppity Negro”?
Naturally, though, like all bigoted leftists, Knight attempts to project his own troubling racial issues on others:
The racist image appeared Tuesday on the right-wing blog Gateway Pundit; the slur was later called out by Media Matters for America. A post by Gateway blogger Jim Hoft paired the picture with a clip of the first lady’s guest appearance on a forthcoming episode of “iCarly,” a Nickelodeon sit-com…
The doctored painting also turned up in August 2010 on the right-wing Instapundit website, where it apparently originated.
Sorry, Mr, Knight, the only one flying the flag of bigotry here is you.
SHAME on the LA Times. They ought to know better.
PS… While we’re calling out the LA Times – Release the Khalidi tape.

OMG- Mr. Hoft, you too. I have been waiting and waiting for the Release the Khalidi tape.
And for the hacks on the left to call foul, it has to be one of the most pompous and actually par for the course. The left is perpetuating racism just as Obama did with the Cambridge Police.
Holder is another one. You are racist if you disagree with Fast and Furious. Can you imagine if one of his relatives were killed for protecting America. This is adolescence. When you can’t admit you are wrong, so the racist card is played, again. I do believe Americans are so over this.

What? You should have showed her as a middle-aged white man, right? The only way to take race and sexual prejudice out of it is to make her unrecognizable.
That’s all they have. ANYthing to distract from the $12 million plus the First Lady has spent on vacations…

From GP’s link “Khalidi Tape” –
Newt Gingrich had this to say about the LA Times concealing the Obama-Khalidi tape:
I think that it’s very suspicious that I know the elite media is totally sold out to Obama and I know that the elite media is totally committed to Obama’s election but for them to hide a tape like this is pretty extraordinary.
My hunch is that what would be shocking would be very similar to Reverend Wright or very similar to Bill Ayers in what you would see was the kind of hatred and the kind of viciousness, not from Senator Obama let’s be very clear, I’m certain he was calm he was cool he was rational, but all around him that evening there were people who were people who would clearly destroy Israel in a heartbeat, And he didn’t walk out. He didn’t leave. And, I think that it makes it indefensible.
And, I think if the average American saw on top of Reverend Wright and on top of Bill Ayers and on top of ACORN and on top of the other things we’ve seen, if they saw the degree to which he was comfortable surrounded by hatred particularly hatred of America and hatred of Israel, I think that it would make them very sober. (Bolding mine)
Note: Newt wasn’t quiet in 2008. He did what McCain wouldn’t. 2012 is a year we can’t fail to expose the truth again.
RedBeard commented:
I don’t know whether to laugh at Christopher Knight’s derangement, or to pity him for being the victim of a mental malady. But either way, he has proven himself incapable of rational thought.
dunce commented:
Does he really think that white first ladies squandering the taxpayers money flagrantly would not be criticized? Hillary traveled more than any other first lady setting herself up as knowledgeable in foreign affairs and parleyed it into a senate seat and then secretary of state where she has overseen serial political disasters with no successes. This is a warning that in the future we could see the return of another nasty witch.
bigL commented:
I think Obama participated and laughed at the jokes that the Times reported on. The L.A. times wrote and article at thet time- 2008 that they had the tape.
And Michelled Malkin and about 50 supporters went tothe L.A.Times offices and demnstrated forthe release. the Times staffers were in upper windows laughing and flipping the Bird.
donh commented:
Come on Jim …You KNOW the LA times LOVES this picture of Michelle, but the only way they can publish the picture is through a back door reverse meathod of attacking conservative racism. People would be fired if they used the picture in an honest straight forward critique of Michelle . So they feign racial outrage to cover their pleasure at printing it. This award calibre graphic is over 2 years old .

Never mind.
Texas_Treeroach commented:
Me thinks Christopher Knight doth protest too much.
What kind of bigoted trash is he carrying around in his head that he so easily makes this kind of connection? I think his article was a big mistake for him.
As it stands, he turns out to be a pathetic of version of Bob Wiley, in “What about Bob?”:

What potential first lady says this. She has spent so much money that Obama’s advisers have mentioned it to Obama. Supposedly, early in the 08 elections his family was off limits. Really?
Making comments that are disturbing to hear may upset many and the spending should upset all.
Patty commented:

Ah yes, the Khalidi tapes. Those are the tapes they refuse to release despite their “Statement of Principles” http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/chi-principles,0,393391.story
“The Tribune places great emphasis on the integrity of government and of the private institutions and individuals who serve and lead society. It acts as a watchdog on government, protecting citizen interests in quarters where citizens themselves might not otherwise be represented. The newspaper does this in the belief that the people cannot consent to be governed unless they have knowledge of, and faith in, the leaders and operations of government. Always, the people are sovereign.”
“The editorial page has four essential roles: to serve as a check on the power of government, to set an agenda for the Chicago region and the nation, to make persuasive arguments for the enactment of that agenda, and to inform and guide its readers so they can make better decisions.“

I can’t even understand what Jim Hawkins is talking about, or who he thinks he is criticizing for using the “uppity negro” term. He should be directing his ire at Christopher Knight of the LA Times, the man who brought the term into this matter.

It’s surprising that Knight hasn’t called “right-wing” artist Dale to the mat for the following little ditties:
“Royal Roughage”
“Bride of Frankenbarry”
And how about these two? They really take the cake! How dare Dale produce such art?!
“Battered Citizen Syndrome”
“Baroque Obama”
Instead of going after Obama’s political opponents and projecting on them, Knight should be more alarmed at the shredding of the Constitution that is taking place right under his, and the country’s nose! You know that document [Not Obama] that guards his freedom to write whatever he wants!

It’s an OLD redo – NOT RECENT. I’ve used it heavily myself and a few others like it – REFLECTIVE of Odrama Queen ELITISM – NOT on racism. Has NOTHING to do with color – it is ALL about ATTITUDE such as is common to ALL Malignant Narcissistic powermongering micromanaging, destructive megalomaniacs – of all races, ethnicity, religion, creeds, planetary origins, geography, history, etc etc etc et al, etcetera!!!
And it EXEMPLIFIES MOOCHELLE to the MAX!!! It does equally well for Odrama Queen – I photoshopped one of King Louis 16 for Odrama Queen, just like it, myself:

L.A. Times put THIS ONE done by someone else on their story about Obama blocking RUSH HOUR WORK TRAFFIC for a mid-town FUNDRAISER for 4-5-6 hours – several yrs ago:

The Odrama Queens have worked bloody hard for their images. Nobody has a right to deprive them of their Just Reputation by claiming it is only a reflection of American RACISM – when it is in fact a reflection of the Odrama Queens’ own POMPOUS INSULTING behavior towards the American people.

AS EVERY CARBON-BASED life form on this planet surely knows, Barack Obama, the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, is running for president. Since making his announcement, there has been no end of commentary about him in all quarters — musing over his charisma and the prospect he offers of being the first African American to be elected to the White House.
But it’s clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the “Magic Negro.”

All the First Ladies of America put together never lived at THAT kind of style or extravagance. You are so far off the mark it is putrid of you. You ain’t in the same PLANET, much less the same ball park as the target. The Respect due the OFFICE only carries anyone SO FAR – After that, they are ACCOUNTABLE for their own conduct – ALL THE MORE SO for an ELECTED OFFICE and the STYLE coming from HARD-EARNED TAX DOLLARS. Now maybe your own are too easy come by – my family works hard labor for the cash that flows around here – it ain’t at no DESK! And this $12 mill estimate for their vacations – EVERYONE HERE KNOWS that would NOT have paid for ANY THREE of THEIR vacations.
And that is something UNCONSCIONABLE. AND NOT to be TOLERATED – much less CONDONED!
God never required MANNERS be honored “ABOVE ALL” as you lay down on the ground and be a BLOODIED RED carpet for your dictators. NEVER!
Stand up on your hind legs.
Samuel Adams: If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
Samuel Adams: The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.
Texas_Treeroach commented:

True, Mooch-elle has been under much more scrutiny and criticism than other First Ladies, but then, we’ve never had a Communist First Couple #occupying the White House before, either. Nor have we ever had a First Lady who, after all the things this country has given her thanks to affirmative action, had never been proud of that very country until her husband decided to run for President. She’s a progressive hypocrite of the worst rank, knowing what’s best for us plebes while she jets off and flaunts the trappings of the highest office of a country she despises. As I said, she is fair game. She’s a big girl. She went to Harvard Law, doncha know?
