Local conservatives invested in an “Impeach Obama” sky banner for his trip to San Diego this past weekend.
Stop Obama reported, via Pat Dollard:
On Veterans Day 11/11/11, Obama came to San Diego to see a college basketball game on an aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson. Before airspace was closed an Impeach Obama banner was flown over San Diego as a protest.

They should also tell Congress to impeach Obama.
Son of Walden commented:
Alright, I’ll bite.
What has President Obama done to warrant impeachment?
Non-answers include:
-He hates freedom
-Secret Mulsim usurper
-Destroyed the Constitution
-Obamacare is treason
Valid answers:
-Specific indictable offenses. Please include specific statutes and actual acts which involve those statutes. Are any lawyers (or for that matter J.D.s or LL.M.s) in the house? Given the level of discourse on this blog, I doubt it.

Oh and
@SonOfWalden
Well, would telling two people (one a military General, the other the head of a Government Agency) to lie under oath so he could secure a highly unusual waiver to a top-Democrat fundraiser’s company (one that Obama was even an investor in) despite the blatant national security issues the proposed system would create, apply?
Because, yeah, he’s done that…
Highlander commented:
What about ignoring court orders? Bypassing Congress with executive orders? Need I go on?
ohiochili commented:
Walden, you ask us to define what the messiah has done to warrant impeachment, then you make the rules for the answers?
That only works at Obama interviews and press conferences.

Apparently Jerry Toci of the ritzy, kazillion dollar neighborhood association, the Coronado Homeowner’s Association, did not approve of the banner. Below is his e-mail to National Sky Ads requesting information on the pilot so he can make a formal complaint.
I just love how liberals holler “free speech” when it’s about Occupiers or their crowd, but if they don’t like the message they come down hard. I wonder if all the retired Naval officers and rich businessmen (one percenters) who live on Coronado realize what a leftist this guy is. Impeach Jerry Toci!!!

#9 Son Of Walden wrote some trash not worthy of repeating.
My reply may not be any more valuable in his eyes but…here goes
I suppose the death of a United States citizen due to a program (Fast & Furious) your administration started to subvert the Constitution doesn’t count either. As Bugs Bunny would have said “What an ultra maroon”

We in the tea party needed that banner when Obama came to St. Louis for that Obama fund raiser at the Carnahan house.
Valerie commented:
You don’t have to be conservative to want Obama out of office.
His policies are disastrous, his administration is by waiver, and The Stimulus was used to enrich his friends at the expense of middle-to-low income Americans.
So says your friendly, neighborhood Liberal.
Roger commented:
Anyone can hire one of these banners and the cost is not prohibitive, especially, if you can get a number of people to chip in.
Roger commented:
You don’t have to be a conservative to oppose Obama. This banner was hired from a Democrat in New York, who was quite enthusiastic about it, while the head of the Association of Homeowners in Coronado, who is filing a formal complaint, is a Republican. There are plenty of Democrats, who are also getting fed up.
valerie commented:
Anyone who wants to know why both Conservatives and Liberals want Obama out of office can simply google “Teapot Dome” and “Solyndra.” Other useful search terms are “LightSquared” and “Obama green energy scandal.” “Obama fundraisers Federal Cash” is enlightening, too.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/obama-fundraisers-ties-green-firms-federal-cash/story?id=14592626#.TsFN0s2JmkI
Under the precedent of the Teapot Dome scandal, kickbacks involving federal funds are indeed within the ambit of both “high crimes and misdemeanors” and also “felonies.”
The problem with scandals like this is that they take too long to investigate. The original pattern of spending, with its intense focus on states that voted in the present administration, was merely enough to raise eyebrows. At that time, there were no specific names, and no actions to follow up. Now the names and dates are starting to emerge. My best guess is that the election will be over before any indictments issue, much like what happened in the Watergate scandal, especially if the kickbacks don’t come in until the election season.
In my view, the faster, cheaper remedy is to vote this administration, and its supporters in both Houses of Congress, out of office. But if Barack Obama is re-elected to the office of President, then he will be impeached, and it won’t be about a third-rate burglary, or a lie to protect his marriage. It will be for the real crime that even Chicagoans will recognize: dirty graft.

Sweeeeet!
And this is how you do it:
“When Siga complained that contracting specialists at the Department of Health and Human Services were resisting the company’s financial demands, senior officials replaced the government’s lead negotiator for the deal, interviews and documents show.”

Misuse of the powers inherent in a public office by filing a frivolous lawsuit is an offense that goes to the heart of our notion of good government.
http://biggovernment.com/tfitton/2011/11/14/boeing-controversy-documents-show-nlrb-staff-joking-attacking-us-and-congress/
So far, this still falls in the “bad policy” category, but it could still develop into a “high crime or misdemeanor” if someone can nail down an “impermissible reason” for filing suit. An “impermissible reason” could very well be favoritism of one state over another, regardless of the alleged basis.
