The family of slain border agent Brian Terry blamed Eric Holder for their son’s death in a recent interview.

FOX News reported:

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry died almost one year ago. Despite almost daily headlines about the ongoing scandal in the Obama administration, his devastated parents have said nothing publicly about the U.S. program that helped provide the weapons that killed their son.

Until now.

In separate interviews, Josephine and Kent Terry lashed out Thursday at those they blame for Brian’s murder — Attorney General Eric Holder, his top assistant Lanny Breuer, former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke, and those ATF officials who approved, executed and supervised Operation Fast and Furious.

“I think they are liars and I would tell them that,” said Kent Terry from his home in central Michigan. “What would I say to Eric Holder? They would not be nice words.”

Terry is in his 70′s, paralyzed and bound to a chair after an accident 17 years ago. His former wife Josephine lives 90 minutes north near Detroit.

“If they never let the guns walk, maybe Brian would not have been out that day,” Josephine said. “I just can’t believe our own government came up with a program like this that (let) innocent people get killed.”

  1. Holder, Obama, and anyone else involved are accessories in his death. This was a crime. It was never intended to catch drug cartels. It was there to frame Americans, and ended up killing Americans.

  2. Like Holder could care about Brian Terry or his family, or the families of the two hundred plus Mexicans now dead. They are not “his people”.

  3. Yes, killing innocent Americans in a plot to erode our second amendment rights … the ends always justify the means with these people. They should ALL be prosecuted and tried for treason.

  4. Has the family received notice of an IRS audit yet?….I’m sure it’s coming along with a fine like the families of the other agents who have been arrested and CONVICTED and sent to prison for daring to do their jobs.

  5. Holder is easily the most corrupt, despicable Attorney General in this country’s history. Part and parcel of the most lawless administration ever. Dark days we are living through, indeed. And in the event that this is offensive to anyone…no apology forthcoming.

  6. The primary tragedy is the deaths of the Americans and those Mexicans who were innocent.

Secondary is the fact that the corruption is winding its way through the entire Justice Department which is now lacking in legitimacy and integrity.

Missed in all the fog and confusion is another fact:
that the operation was announced from the White House, not the steps of the Justice Department, on March 24, 2009.

They ALL knew about it, and MORE of them, including presidential aides and advisors, and the president, should be summoned to testify before Congress.

  7. i trust a used car salesman over a college student any day

  8. Eric Holder, not Barack Obama? Why?

  9. Holder’s a clown and is just following orders. As much as I loath the incompetent idiot, the vision and strategy for Fast and Furious is well above his pay grade. As Czarina Michelle Obama said of situations like Brian Terry’s loss, such sacrifices are necessary for the progressive revolution:

“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism (and your blood). That you put down your divisions (and your defenses). That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better (for the progressive fascist State). And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives…”

52% of the nation voted for this. If you’re not happy with the Progressive Program, hold them accountable.

  10. well valerie , let me be clear , most economist agree, collectively and uh, with uh , a good soul searching uh , what was you question again ? uh uh uh

most economist agree that i was in the 56th state uh

  11. 57 % of this nation uh agrees you know uh with most peer reviewed uh scientist uh you know like , let me be clear uh

  12. Look, 90% + of us agree. So let’s cut to the chase, when will the “Opposition Party” bring legal action against these traitorous bastards?

Our attention should be on that two-face phony Darrell Issa. He’s dragging this out for publicity purposes no less than Obama delaying the pipeline decision. In the end he won’t have the guts to pull the trigger. Boehner and McConnell would pee their pants if it came to a fight.

This isn’t Obama’s game alone. Holder broke the law at Clinton’s request for Marc Rich. This is simply how it’s always done. They’re just playing us for suckers. That includes Issa and the Republicans.

$100 says no one will spend one day in jail over Fast and Furious and Holder keeps his job.

There are two parties in American politics, Us and Them and we don’t get a vote.

  13. The article speaks for itself. And once again Sarah Palin hits the nail on the head:

It’s tempting to get distracted with the horse race aspect of electoral politics during a primary season. But as pundits talk about “who’s up and who’s down” in the 24 hour news cycle, we must keep our eye on the ball with the Obama administration. They rely on distraction to skirt responsibility, but we’re going to hold them accountable for their corruption and incompetence.

When the stories about Operation Fast and Furious first broke, it sounded too crazy even for this administration.

Why would any government official with an ounce of common sense think it’s a good idea to facilitate the smuggling of thousands of guns into the hands of violent Mexican drug cartels? That’s what Operation Fast and Furious did.

You might think Eric Holder’s Department of Justice was setting up a sting operation in which our federal agents would swoop down and arrest the bad guys the minute the guns traded hands. But that’s not what happened. Eric Holder’s DOJ had American gun dealers sell weapons to “straw purchasers” tied to drug cartels without actually following the movement of the guns as they were then sold to Mexican drug lords. They apparently thought this so-called “gun-walking” operation would help them chart the path of gun smuggling, but they didn’t have a plan to actually control the weapons’ movements as the guns were allowed to “walk” into Mexico. All Holder’s DOJ did was arm violent criminals. What manner of fools do we have working in this administration? What’s next? Supplying nuclear weapons components to the Iranians so we can track their activities?

Fast and Furious isn’t just your typical government incompetence. This is a deadly tragedy. U.S. border agent Brian Terry was gunned down with weapons connected to Holder’s debacle. At least 200 Mexican citizens were also killed by criminals using Fast and Furious weapons. We can only imagine how many more people will be murdered by criminals our government armed.

When an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives blew the whistle on this operation, the DOJ leaked sensitive information about him to the press. This week, the former U.S. Attorney for Arizona, who was ousted in the wake of the scandal, admitted to being the leaker.

And where is President Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder in all of this? When did he first know about the operation? In his testimony to the House Oversight Committee on May 3, 2011, Holder stated, “I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” But the DOJ’s own documents prove that Holder had been receiving briefings on Fast and Furious for nearly a year before that date. In other words, our government’s top law enforcement official, Eric Holder, lied to the American public. He finally admitted this week to the Senate Judiciary Committee, “In my testimony before the House committee [on May 3], I did say a few weeks. I probably could have said a couple of months. What I said about a few weeks was inaccurate based on what happened.”

When the nation’s highest law enforcement official lies to the American people, he must go.

And if he claims that he didn’t lie, then how else do we explain this situation? He’s either lying or he’s so grossly incompetent and lazy that he didn’t read important life and death briefings from his deputy attorney general and didn’t know about this deadly operation run by people under him. So, which is it? Incompetent, lazy, or lying? No matter which explanation fits, he needs to go.

Holder conceded this week, “I have ultimate responsibility for what happens in the department.” He can prove it by resigning. And if he refuses to resign, then President Obama – with whom the bucks ultimately stop – can prove that he respects honesty, transparency, and accountability in his administration by firing Holder.

I stand with the members of Congress who are calling for Holder’s resignation. I stand with the family members of Brian Terry who are demanding transparency and accountability. Mr. President, where do you stand?

    – Sarah Palin

P.S. It can be argued that some elements of this scandal give the appearance of perhaps being intended to be used to infringe on our Second Amendment rights. I invite our President to correct concerned Americans if they’re wrong on this.

1.Fast in furious was regional and didn’t involve main justice.
2.Bush did it , that wide receiver and fast in furious were the same.
    3.That its 2nd amendment’s fault

The argument that Fast and Furious was regional is absurd. Fast in furious was a multi agency OCDETF task force case which requires DOJ approval to even establish.

Wide receiver was a regional case. Shut down when Billy Hoover, (ATF’s assistant director for the office of field operations), learned from William Newell, (then ATF’s special agent in charge of the Phoenix field division), that the Mexican government lost track of the suspects once they crossed the border.

The Obama Administration and DOJ are corrupt and need to be prosecuted fully!

  18. Something tells me that there are many many scandals, lies, cover-ups in this administration.

    __
Barack Obama wants another $500 billion to siphon off the tax payers in his efforts to bankrupt the United States, claiming this is needed to repair a bridge in Ohio. This is after the crime syndicate known as the Congress granted him some $1.5 trillion by raising the debt ceiling a month ago of which I’m sure that’s already gone as well. It will be no problem getting the $500 billion for the bridge, as John Boehner and the Republicans won’t want to look bad by not passing Obama’s phony “Jobs Bill”.

In the mean time Obama and his gang have gotten themselves in several “sticky” situations. The first one that comes to mind is the Operation Fast And Furious scandal. This is a pretty serious problem for Eric Holder who right here is lying through his teeth about it. One problem Mr. Holder may have is David Ogden, the Assistant Attorney General announced in this press conference that at the direction of Barack Obama, Ogden and Holder are taking “new and aggressive steps” to fight drug trafficking at the Mexican border. One of those aggressive steps is ATF using $10 million in recovery act funds to fortify it’s Project Gun Runner.

Obama and gang are also being investigated for giving away $535 million to Solyndra, solar panel manufacturing company, whose private investors are major Obama supporters. Since Solyndra got the cash they’ve gone belly-up, fired 1,100 workers and have been raided by the FBI. Anyway, some congressmen are looking into the matter. It seems that Solyndra isn’t the only company that got a bunch of the taxpayers money then collapsed though.

Certainly there is no shortage of scandals, cover ups, lies, and bribes with the Obama regime. One of the latest, at least one that we’re finding out about is Air Force four star general, William Shelton said the White House pressured him to change his testimony (lie) while briefing members of Congress about a project that would benefit a Democrat donor. WH Pressured General to Lie to Congress

Holder, Obama, etc. will do anything possible to bring about gun control in the United States, even arming Mexican drug cartel and then blaming the U.S. for selling them with guns. Nothing is off the table with these evil POS.

  25. If this administration had common sense and were thinking of the welfare of Americans, they would apologized and admit their wrongs.

Instead, Obama apologizes to other nations for the past administration. We knew we were in deep do do when Obama did this and when he said, “POLICE ACTED STUPIDLY”.

Well, this administration is the most immature and lacking in Common sense and “They are no just acting stupidly” BUT THEY HAVE MURDER A GREAT BORDER PATROL AGENT.

Now, if Bush had done this and so many other things that Obama and his administration have done, Bush would be hung up to dry by the media and then impeachment proceedings.

NYTimes Spikes Fast & Furious Hearing in Print,
    Omits Eric Holder’s Admission Completely
    11/10

[Obama administration Attorney General Eric Holder was grilled by
Republicans on Capitol Hill Tuesday about the Justice Department’s
botched sting Operation Fast and Furious, which allowed guns to
flow untracked into the U.S. and Mexico, putting thousands of illegally
purchased firearms on the street, one of which led to the death of
Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in the Arizona desert.

Republican questioners even forced Holder to admit his initial
statements to Congress about his knowledge of the gun-walking
were "inaccurate.” But the New York Times's print edition completely
    skipped it.

  28. When Holder testified a week ago he said he had not apologized to the family of Brian Terry. Nor a note of condolence.

The Hillary Clinton State Department though made a personal phone call of condolence to the family of Samir Khan, the Ex-American terrorist killed with al-Awlaki in Yemen.

An American who was protecting his country is ignored but an American who was fighting against it gets a call form the Obama regime!

    Whose side are they on?

  29. “I just can’t believe our own government came up with a program like this that (let) innocent people get killed.”

Well, of course it did. This is such a sad story and such a sad lament. But– better believe it.

And then don’t fall for any more silly crap that still MORE power should be transferred to the feds. Read the Constitution for its plain meaning. Especially the 9th and 10th amendments. Vote accordingly.

We know that “our own government” is the sum of thousands of people just like us, except with power. That power turns some people into petty tyrants, and some others into monsters. And all of them faceless, anonymous, and virtually unaccountable. The lament about “our own government” reminds me of a brief scene in The Godfather. You know the one – when Michael asks, “who’s being naive now, Kay?”

We should be looking at this whole sorry episode with eyes wide open. This was not some anomaly. It’s the inevitable result when the government gains too much power and is given too much trust by the people. Our Founders were much wiser than almost anyone today gives them credit for. Look and learn.
