NBC DC reported:
Capitol Police moved swiftly to stop protesters unfurling banners at a U.S. Senate office building in Washington, D.C.
Members of the Occupy DC protest, a demonstration that arose out of the larger Occupy Wall Street protests, marched on the Hart building on Tuesday morning.
Protesters gained entrance to the Hart building’s atrium and dropped two banners, one reading
“End War Now” and the other “People for the People.”NBC News reports as soon as demonstrators unfurled their signs, Capitol Police placed them under arrest. At least six have been arrested for unlawful conduct – demonstrating. Dozens of other demonstrators ran through the building’s upper levels chanting and waving smaller signs.
The offices of Democrat senators Dianne Feinstein and Harry Reid are located inside the Hart building, as well as Republican Marco Rubio.

Alec Baldwin Fund Tied to Wall Street, Big Oil
Morgan Stanley, the legendary Wall Street investment banking company founded by J.P. Morgan that took $10 billion in federal bailout funds back in 2008 during the financial crisis, is a “Corporate Partner” providing funding to the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. Named for and listing as chairwoman actor Alec Baldwin’s breast cancer survivor mother.
With Alec Baldwin himself serving on the Fund’s “Advisory Board.”
Merrill Lynch, owned by the Bank of America, is also a “Corporate Partner” with the Baldwins, the company famously teetering on the edge in the 2008 crisis and being purchased by BOA. It was eventually revealed that Merrill Lynch used some $3.6 billion to pay out in “bonuses” — approximately a third of the amount received in federal TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program).
Exxon Mobile has pitched in as well. The very emblem of Big Oil, Exxon Mobile is another “Corporate Partner” funding the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.
That’s right.
Alec Baldwin is a board member of a family charitable fund which partners with and takes money from a veritable who’s who of that famous trifecta of liberal enemies: Wall Street, Big Oil and Corporations.

WillofLa commented:
What I want is for someone on this thread to tell me what kind of permit is it that gives a bunch of unassociated people to be able not be anywhere in particular to gather, but just be everywhere at one time, but yet have permission to gather. For what? For who? What kind of permit did they get to be able do stay in New York City trashing the place, tieing up traffic, trying to enter buildings, and in Washington, what kind of permit did they get to hang around like they’re doing in New York? What is it that says they can do what they are doing…..for over a month??! I’d have to call my city hall and ask if my city has anything like that.
But I’m glad that these nut cases are being stopped. The security people should have put a couple of bullets in some of them and maybe that would be sending them the message that we are not going to put up with anti-war demonstrators crapping all over the place and causing trouble and inconvinence for everyone trying to get to work in the city and have to step over people in sleeping bags laying all around on the sidewalks. They’re like a bunch of hobo’s and homeless people living on the streets.
Maybe this is something we don’t see right away and that is maybe this is training for the near future of life in America where there will be so many people out of work and homeless that they will be laying around all over the place where we’ll be having to step over them to get to what work there is left for people. Maybe we need to be watching and thinking what would you do if you were one of those people who had no place to go and nothing to do except lay around on the streets. Where would you get food, be able to clean up, have a bowel movement that is clean and we don’t have to break in to do it, and how would you take care of your family members? One thing you may have to do is take your wife and kids to some family members house and strike out on your own to find work. People did it during the Depression when men were riding the rails looking for work, and having to live very fruglely and send what you can home (relatives house) so your family can eat.
When are the people of New York going to get fed up with these people? Are New Yorkers THAT tolerateing? Are they that complacent that their tolerance so high of people doing things like this that they just go about their business and ignore what’s going on around them? What is wrong with New Yorkers that they would let this go this long?

#10 & #14……….Doesn’t make any difference to me. I like Christie’s mouth and backbone when he trys to do something. One of the most beautiful things I have ever heard was him talking back to that entitled teacher. I do not like a lot of his warts and do not think he is one iota better in other ways than what we have running.
I like Herman Cain. It bothers me that someone can go straight to the WH. I need to see a record. I need to see the warts and think about them overall. I need to know who he will appoint. Who he knows. I would like to see a record of some type of government. I would like to see Cain take a VP or cabinet job before president .
Obama only had a tiny Senate record. That was enough to see he voted present or against everything I like.
I only wish Perry had not screwed up. He would make us the best president. I like to see actions and not listen to just the words. Evidently Texans can only do Texas-speak. I do not want Romney. I like him better than McCain but that is not saying much.

What if it isn’t?
What if it’s a sign of disappointment with the advice he’s gotten?
Here’s a nobody that got a United States Senate seat handed to him. Somebody had to talk to him about that, and about a run for the presidency. What he did not have is life-long knowledge of how to evaluate what his advisors had to say.
That TARP thing didn’t turn out the way they said it would, and neither did The Stimulus. There were no “shovel ready” jobs like they said, and the Green Jobs initiative has been a transfer of public wealth to the wealthy. His policies have been enacted, and those policies are now accused of all but destroying the black middle class.
Further, it’s starting to look like the extension of unemployment benefits operates to extend unemployment.
And the governors of states that seem to be weathering this economic downturn are Republicans. They did not do that by themselves. They had people, and policies, that worked a little better.
He can’t be impressed with the intellectual firepower of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators, or the manners of those in DC. He is, after all, fastidious in his person.
What if he is thinking sacrilege?
What if he is thinking that the Republicans do not look like racists to him, and that he wishes he had the benefit of a Herman Cain’s advice? What if he saw the “racism” charges against Rick Perry as the foolishness they are?
What if he’s thinking that the TEA Parties have a point?

Anyone can walk anywhere outside in any city, including DC. If they carry a few signs, it’s no big deal. There are a LOT of people there every day. Most days, you can find a few signs. Take a look at these guys, who visited the Occupy DC demonstration. Look at the backgrounds, and you can get an idea of how few people are involved. DC is full of small parks and sidewalks that could easily accommodate them.

In New York, the “park” that is “occupied” is private property. If the owners want to let people loiter, they can.

That his foot soldiers sometimes get off course and harass the wrong entity, such as in this case one of the strongholds of their elitist masters, is inconsequential to their higher cause. This is a dog-bites-man story. Besides, I think a brick-by-brick dismantling of the United States Congress and all the attendant facilities would make a good beginning for a complete purge of all these lame-assed corruptocrats.
