Oh Brother… Holder Claims He Did Not Understand THIS Question, “When Did You First Learn About Fast and Furious?” (Video)

According to reports last night Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath about Fast and Furious during testimony to Congress. On May 3, 2011, while under oath, Holder told a Congressional committee, “”I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” But, new emails prove he was notified about Fast and Furious back in July 2010.

Today, the Obama Justice Department claimed Eric Holder did not understand the question:

The Justice Department told CBS News… Holder misunderstood that question from the committee – he did know about Fast and Furious – just not the details.

Here’s the question:

If he has a hard time understanding things, he shouldn’t be Attorney General….liar!

Just like Timmy ‘The Tax Cheat’ Geithner…all is forgiven, nothing to see here, just move along.

  • vityas

Another example of Affirmative Action in action.
If he’s too stupid to understand that question, he’s too stupid to graduate from grade school.

  • FedUp

Holder joins Timmy “Turbo Tax” as one of the most incompetent people holding office that impacts us all. They should both be impeached, if not put in jail!

  • myohmy

So why are we paying Eric Holder to head the DOJ? Either he is really this STUPID and LAZY or just one nefarious evil con man to subvert this country. I blamed the repub-rinos voting to confirmed this guy.

  • Esspresso Logic – The 6th Sense

    What a pathetic POS.

  • Kate

If he is that freakin’ stupid, kick him out now. Of course, why is anyone surprised? He’s as “brilliant” and corrupt as Obama. Birds of a feather…..

  • spike

Now,Now.He just couldn’t hear the question. The roar of the bus’s engion was just too loud.

  • “Oh Brother… Holder Claims He Did Not Understand THIS Question, “When Did You First Learn About Fast and Furious?” (Video)”

Well, it depends on what your definition of “learn” is.

  • myohmy

So Eric Holder knew that US guns were sold to Mexico before but he just doubled it down. Eric Holder and his henchmen are in complicit with criminal enterprise to armed drug cartels that resulted to hundred mexican dead, Terry’s death and the the descend of looming overthrow of Mexican government by drug cartels to raise the ante for gun control. Do we have jail big enough for these guys?

  • AuntieMadder

    Oh, well, that explains it.

  • Terry Gain

This is just his latest lie. If he didn’t understand the question then he’s too stupid for the job.

  • Ipso Facto

Lets just be honest. In the 1960’s we established civil rights laws and along with them, we also established affirmative action, set aside programs and quotas to give minorities a chance to advance in our society.

Some minorities took advantage of those programs and they made something of them selves. God bless them!

Other minorities took advantage of those programs only to use them to skate around being honorable, responsible and diligent.

Obama and his wife, Holder, Valerie Jarrett, and their ilk belong to the latter group. These people never developed character. Instead they just worked the system to the detriment of the people that tried to help them.

Yet another unintended consequence of misguided social engineering programs.

Hiding Holder’s true intentions (article was written in 2010

During his confirmation more than a year ago, Attorney General Eric Holder failed to notify lawmakers he had contributed to a legal brief dealing with the use of federal courts in fighting terrorism, the Justice Department acknowledged on Wednesday.

Clearly this is subterfuge, an effort to hide Holder’s risky and dangerous views from public scrutiny. This was a brief which exposes Holder’s (and Obama’s and John Brennan’s) views that they could dial back our reaction to terrorist threats used under the Bush admininstration. It explains completely why the terrorist investigations into Major Hasan were suspiciously and abruptly shut down before the true nature of the man was discovered. After all, he was an American citizen talking about Jihad and killing soldiers with another American citizen now in Yemen and tied to al Qaeda and 9-11.

In the twisted and limited views of liberals that is called free speech. I guess bombing civilians is also an admirable expression of political views.

The brief also explains the totally bizarre and reckless act of suspending interrogations of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and providing him the right to remain silent and a lawyer – even though he is not an American citizen! An act that could have allowed other al Qaeda killers to sneak by our defenses. It was this same extension of American rights to foreign threats inside our borders that allowed the 9-11 high jackers to ‘disappear’ from intelligence monitoring and kill 3,000 people.

Seems Holder has some devious bias issues. And NOT the good kind.

He has flown under the radar just like his boss.

  • Patty

He seems to be having a senior moment. He isn’t that old. And more excuses and way and dodge and lies and complete disrespect and disregard for our National Security.

Some heads must roll. But I personally don’t believe they ever will as long as Holder has the same advisers as Obama has and has the same lame stream media as Obama has and haves.

  • can you understand the question. What did you know and when did you know it?

Actually, Holder is have a Clinton moment…you know, the definition of IS.

He’s in charge. What the fvck did he think they were discussing with him.

He needs to be in PRISON.

One sentence in simple English is too damn tough, but we can trust him to understand the Arizona & Alabama Immigration Laws?

In Holder’s defense, that same line always works with the IRS and Federal law enforcement.

“Oh, you meant for me to report *ALL* income? I guess I didn’t understand your question. No harm, no foul, right?”

Somewhere, Bernie Ebbers, Jeff Skilling, Richard Nixon and Martha Stewart are pissed they didn’t know the magic excuse.

So now he is lying AGAIN!

This is another example of perjury, this time to the public-at-large.

This is what lawyers do, they twist things around so that one arrives at the opposite conclusion that normal people would. This is obfuscation and evasion from the truth, and is beneath the office of Attorney General.

  • [email protected]

It’ll be amusing to watch obastard wiggle out of appointing a special prosecutor. It will be hartbreaking to watch the pubs let him get away with it.

But that’s what they do best.

  • Vixen

Holder’s claim sounds like something a 6-year-old would come up with… or maybe The Liar on the old SNL’s. Did Holder say, “Yeah, that’s the ticket” after he came up with this whopper??

  • Dittogirl

This is the Titantic..slowly filling with water, about to break in half and sink. This is going to be historical.

I often wondered why Issa was going after this so heavily, while ignoring the people about the citizenship and eligilibility of Obama. Its easy to see now that this will not only take down Holder, but Zero too. Its all just a matter of time now. Put a rush on it Mr Issa, you have a country to save and we dont have the time to mess around.

We all know that this goes straight to the top. No one does anything like this without the consent of the biggies. All of this for gun control, because they know they cant do to this nation what they want to do with an armed citizenry. Sad thing is, it almost worked.

  • #19: Exactly! “Is” can have SO many meanings, if one is an honesty-impaired liberal.

  • Freddy

Do not forget what that part of the congressional hearing was about.

Holder was claiming that an ‘unaware staffer’ had produced a fraudulent report, under his name, and had submitted it to congress earlier in 2011. Holder was claiming he had no knowlwdge at the time of that fraudulent report.

This is actually, at least, the double down lie to cover for the other lie!

And of course, the reason CBS has this is Holder did not want to let Issa have the pleasure of releasing this lie directly. So instead of sending the documents over to the congressional committee, Holder had them released to CBS. Which of course, may now add on a contempt of congress charge against Holder for hiding documents.

Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we lie every day of every year,
    again and again,
    lie after lie,

CBS News Reporter Says White House Screamed, Swore at Her Over Fast and Furious

The Fast and Furious scandal, in which the Justice Department knowingly gave Mexican criminal gangs thousands of guns, just keeps escalating. The latest development centers around whether or not Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about having knowledge of the controversial gun trafficking operation. Recently released documents say Holder was briefed about the operation long before he told the Judiciary Committee he was first aware of what was going on. (Holder now claims he misunderstood the question was being asked.)

What’s more, CBS News investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson — who’s been covering the scandal from the beginning — says in an interview on the Laura Ingraham Show today that the White House and Justice Department have taken to screaming at her for reporting on the story. You can listen to the full interview below, but here are the key excerpts from Attkisson:

In between the yelling that I received from Justice Department yesterday, the spokeswoman–who would not put anything in writing, I was asking for her explanation so there would be clarity and no confusion later over what had been said, she wouldn’t put anything in writing–so we talked on the phone and she said things such as the question Holder answered was different than the one he asked. But he phrased it, he said very explicitly, ‘I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.’
Ingraham: So they were literally screaming at you?
Attkisson: Yes. Well the DOJ woman was just yelling at me. The guy from the White House on Friday night literally screamed at me and cussed at me. [Laura: Who was the person? Who was the person at Justice screaming?] Eric Schultz. Oh, the person screaming was [DOJ spokeswoman] Tracy Schmaler, she was yelling not screaming. And the person who screamed at me was Eric Schultz at the White House.”

Finally, Attkisson notes that the White House is claiming that a thorough investigation of the scandal is unwarranted:

[The White House and Justice Department] will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable. They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.

  • moron

Obviously the question was racist! Ask in ebonics next time. Not guilty!

  • Jerry

Scooter Libby was convicted of perjury, his only crime was having a bad memory. Taking this as an example it should be simple to send Holder to jail not only for his bad memory but his numerous crimes as well.

  • Blackbird

It’s amazing to watch the Obama train wreck continue. They are seriously starting to loose it at the White House and the DoJ. Apparently the new tone involves screaming and yelling at CBS reporters for investigating the news they are reporting.

I wonder how long before Holder orders the FBI to arrest Darrell Issa and company for something crazy like sedition against the POTUS or something. I seriously do hope Issa has backups of all the documents in his investigations.

  • Sam Stone

    To repeat the CBS reporter:

Finally, Attkisson notes that the White House is claiming that
#####a thorough investigation of the scandal is unwarranted:######

[The White House and Justice Department] will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable. They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.

  • Of course they’re yelling. Terrified people tend to do that.

  • Highlander

OK, so how much longer are we going to tolerate this crap?

  • Multitude

How long can the MSM keep bailing? Are they under direct orders from the White House? Has someone been screaming?

Hmm… cnn.com “breaking news” — nothing. Nope. Not news. Nothing to see here. Top story? “It’s time for Men to Man Up” Damn. It’s a shame it’s such a slow news day. Nothing to report.

MSNBC? Damn, they’re right on top of the nation’s #1 concern… farmers markets and food safety. What, are they preparing the cover for the next scandal of the day which has to do with the Amish dairy raids by the FBI?

NYTimes? Not news is news, as Christie says “Now is not my time.” Another slow news day in the Big Apple.

Hillary Clinton’s favorite, Al Jazeera? “US Economy close to faltering” (Close? “Sun close to being hot”? “Air close to being necessary to breath”?) Still no mention. We know who’s everybody’s favorite closet Muslim!

Oh wait! Certainly Google “Do no evil (as long as you redefine evil to Republican)” will certainly be on top of it. news.google.com: #1> Newsmax hit “Holder Informed…” and #2> Holder found guilty!

Holy crap. Oh wait. It’s NewsOK.com and it’s “Amy Holder found guilty in Logan county trial.” #3 is “Season Ticket Holder Territory”… wtf?

I’ve concluded that Nixon was a punk. A half-assed hack. Erasing a tape, acknowledging awareness of a crime and denying knowledge of it. Crap. Small time. It takes courage to pull off a crime of this level and control the majority of the news media, compelling them to be complicit in the crimes.

We’re gonna have to put these people in jail. What Ebbers and Skilling did doesn’t even compare. 25 to life for these journalist criminals.

  • Stoshio

Two words: federal prison. It’s time we relentlessly go after idiots like him and put them away.

  • aprilnovember811

It isn’t going to fly. He’s an accessory to murder.

  • Finncrisp

This is outrageous! Eric Holder, AKA Moslem and terrorist sympathizer, now can’t understand English?

This man is beyond belief – we are back to “it depends on what the meaning of is is”

Time to get this guy out of Dodge. Lying to Congress is no laughing matter. Are you listening Harry Reid? This guy is supposed to be our top LAW ENFORCEMENT official. Let the resignations and incarcerations begin…

We do need a special prosecutor, but not appointed by Holder. He must recuse since he will be investigated along with the other criminals on the payroll.

  • aprilnovember811

They should have known better, than to approve this criminal in the first place. Over 200 dead, including two Americans that we know about, maybe others. He knew, Obama knew. Both are accessories to murder, and need to be tried for TREASON!!!!

  • aprilnovember811

Oh, poor babies, they’re all just SO upset at the White House. Obamanoid spinmeisters now are yelling at Sharyl Attkisson to “be reasonable!”

  • we need to cut Holder some sack its hard job to conceal and cover-up all this adminastation’s crimes…….

  • and everyone in american tass agrees with him, that was one tricky question.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

The Justice Department told CBS News… Holder misunderstood that question from the committee – he did know about Fast and Furious – just not the details.

    Good God.

A special prosecutor needs to be assigned to this, as in right NOW.

  • agentbrianterry’sghost

We all knew that Holder would bleat,’ No, no, no..I misspoke.’ Isn’t that the DC way of saying,’ I didn’t really mean to lie and I’m really sorry I got caught, so how about a do-over?’

And it keeps getting better: ‘ Now we learn that Zambada Niebla, who is the son of one of the leaders of the Sinaloa “Cartel,” arguably the most powerful international narco-trafficking organization on the planet, who has been incarcerated in Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center since being extradited from Mexico in February 2010 is now raising the Fast and Furious debacle in his court pleadings, arguing, essentially, that the operation is proof of the US government’s cooperation deal with the Sinaloa “Cartel” leadership.
As a result of Operation Fast and Furious, Zambada Niebla’s pleadings assert, about “three thousand people” in Mexico were killed, “including law enforcement officers in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, headquarters of the Sinaloa Cartel:”

We knew Holder was a liar. Now he’s caught. It’s time to nail his a$$ along with oBama’s to the wall.

  • arnonerik

Holder needs to be prosecuted for perjury but so his boss needs to go first. If not, we can expect the Criminal-in-Chief to pardon his lackey, Holder.

  • Ella

If all these guns walked into Mexico, then what does that say about US Customs & Immigration? That’s the responsibility of, let’s see, Big Sis? Do I have that right? And where does Hillary stand on all this, in charge of the State Dept, since Mexico is clearly an aggrieved party with 200 people dead?

For you people who like to do some sleuthing, are there other forums that are the equivalent of clearatf.org for Homeland Security? Some of their employees would probably know more about these border crossing practices ? Some of the weaponry smuggled was military type stuff. Not something you would put in the glove box of your Toyota Camry…..

And now we also understand why Jan Brewer, governor of AZ, was given holy he[[ about enforcing Arizona immigration laws…..

And did we ever found out what guns were used by that whacko who shot Gabby Giffords and killed these other six folks?

    Questions, questions.

  • Ella

Oops – that would be cleanupatf.org instead of clearatf.org…….

Interesting story how Sharyl Attkison of CBS News (she’s been all over the Fast and Furious story) tells how she was yelled and screamed at by White House and DOJ Reps about her covering the Fast and Furious story.

She was interviewed by Laura Ingraham.

“The DOJ woman was just yelling at me,” Attkisson said. “The guy from the White House on Friday night literally screamed at me and cussed at me. Eric Schultz — oh, the person screaming was Tracy Schmaler. She was yelling, not screaming. And the person who screamed at me was Eric Schultz at the White House.”

    Attkisson explained the vicious tongue-lashing:

“In between the yelling that I received from the Justice Department yesterday, the spokeswoman — who would not put anything in writing — I was asking for her explanation so there would be clarity and no confusion later over what had been said. She wouldn’t put anything in writing,” she said.

“So we talked on the phone and she said things such as ‘the question Holder answered was different than the one he asked.’ But the way he phrased it, he said very explicitly, ‘I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.’”

Attkisson also said the DOJ and White House representatives complained that CBS was “unfair and biased” because it didn’t give the White House favorable coverage on the developing scandal.

“Is it sort of a drip, drip. And I’m certainly not the one to make the case for DOJ and White House about what I’m doing wrong,” she added. “They will tell you that I’m the only reporter, as they told me, that is not reasonable. They say The Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, The New York Times is reasonable — I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.”

  • why is the entire democratic party silent about this? not one single democratic member of congress is saying a word about it. the legacy of teddy kennedy; the party uber alles.

#56 Tommy – because Eric’s boss knew about it too and they all realize that full well. This is the beginning of the end of this pathetic Administration.

  • StrangernFiction

    Oh, and pass the popcorn!

  • Ipso Facto

I believe there is an interesting dynamic developing here. Clearly, this story is getting legs. Now the main stream media is in a conundrum. First, they want to protect their favorite administration. But second, we all know they are whores for spectacular news stories.

I’ll bet they are having horrendous arguments amongst the people who decide what to report on and the reporters that want to cover this juicy, potentially historical story.

Don’t you think some people can read the tea leaves and they are saying, “Hey, Obama is going down anyway. Why should we lose out on this story, and the advertising revenues it can bring in?”

The question is whether they are bigger whores for the liberal cause or for the juicy news of an administration going down in spectacular flames?

  • b pocoroba

I was stunned to learn, in the report, he is not reading the memos / reports he receives. That’s grounds for dismissal in my book. Reports / memos / summaries are delivered to high level managers as a means of conveying information. Honestly, I was a bit slack-jawed at that statement. If a managing partner at a law firm tried to avoid responsiblity under similar circumstances with an equally flimsy excuse I doubt it would fly.

Come Nov 2012 we need to clean house and fire THE President and his entire team. . then investigate whether he was eligible to serve and if not, reverse ALL his laws and edicts including his Supreme Court Nominees.

  • L.E. Liesner

Between lying and stonewalling I’d say Holder has a lot bigger problem then just misunderstanding the question. But will the gutless wonders in the House do anything about it, that is the real question. I’ll bet no!

The question was clear enough. The answer depends on what Holder thinks Congress can prove at that point in time.

No one would dare question the nomination of the first black attorney general-no doubt he’s as qualified as the rest of this sorry-ass administration. He doesn’t know, he can’t remember or no one told him i.e., he’s admitting what we all know-he’s unfit for the job. The doj won’t prosecute criminals, won’t admit wrongdoing or protect our border agents. ‘Blacks’ promotions are poor excuses to try to protect ALL our citizens. How many unsubsidized enterprises do blacks run? Funny how they succeed in government where ‘politically correct’ seems to run counter to ‘qualified’. The taxpayers of America are onto this ‘black victim’ thing are are sick and tired of it. Hurry up 2012! Why hasn’t the doj looked at the criminal activities of Dodd/Frank and their friends at fanny and freddie? Political contributors? We are not going to look the other way-be on notice, all.
