Gibson CEO Slams “Big Liberal” Obama After Speech: “He’s Done Untold Damage to Business”

Gibson Guitar Corp. CEO Henry Juszkiewicz slammed “big liberal” Obama after his partisan speech to Congress tonight.
The Corner reported:

Henry Juszkiewicz, the chief executive officer of Gibson Guitar Corp., tells National Review Online that President Obama, a “big liberal,” has done “untold damage to business” and should not be applauded for his jobs speech. ”He’s a government fan,” he says. “He has a problem with successful businesses. He thinks they’re the problem, that they shouldn’t be quite as successful.”

“He is using the levers of government to not only redistribute, but to penalize,” he adds. “I see a difference between what he said and what he’s doing.”

Gibson has been under federal investigation in recent months, reportedly for its importation practices. Juskiewicz blames the Obama administration for causing his company, an iconic American brand, to lose money and lawyer up.

“We’re under attack,” Juskiewicz says. “It’s pretty interesting to see that one of the points in Obama’s speech was to cut back regulationand promote jobs, when, in fact, he’s done just the opposite with us.

Right on, Henry. We are all with you brother.

They all had on their purple ties, and I believe the Wookie had on purple as well. Solidarity with the SEIU no doubt. How does everyone like Michelle’s new Caucasian nose–doesn’t it look just like Jada, Halle, Oprah and Beyonce’s??

  • Sickofobama

I’m sure if Juszkiewicz were a black man or Hispanic, the Obama Regime wouldn’t have shook him down.

But he is white and white men are Obama’s targets – unless they are union thugs.

I thought real guitars got replaced by I-Guitars and Guitar Hero. Both of which are big donors to libtards…

    Think about it.

Allahpundit posted @ HA: Gibson’s competitor, Martin Guitars, uses the same exotic wood veneers on their guitars without the Feds raiding them.

Difference: Martin Guitars CEO is a huge Dem and donor. Case solved.

Mr.J is spot on,O is killing businesses as fast as he can and everyone knows it yet the lemmings in congress clap for his hypocrisy.Gibson is nonunion hence the crackdown,it is the Chicago way. I wish someone in congress had the cajones to call him out for all of the damage he is causing and for his lies.

Major power outage, San Diego to San Clemente, to Yuma, and into Mexico. May last into Friday. I suspect half of Obama’s audience missed his speech.

  • mr. juskiewicz is wrong about redistribution of wealth. socialism; the economic philosophy of the marxist is not about redistribution of wealth. socialism CONCENTRATES all wealth in the hands of the few people with ALL the political power. quit repeating the lies you were told by your marxist college professors.

Socialism redistributes wealth, but it’s only a step to communism where wealth is held among a few elites. Then the remaining wealth is controlled and distributed equally–doctors and janitors earn the same.

    Obama = toast!

If he weren’t so damn deceitful, maybe he’d have some credibility. As it is, he has a long track record of saying one thing and doing quite another.

Obama is now long past the point of no return. No one trusts him and after this BS speech, he will do nothing but wait out his time in office. The sad part now is that he didn’t just screw himself with his absurd redistributionist antics and deceitful conduct. He screwed the entire nation. After he is gone, nearly everything he did will have to be undone. And thus Obama will not only have held us back, he will have wasted four good years of our time.

    What a pathetic charlatan!

  • DeeDee

#3, MO got a nose job in between the election and the inaguration. I can always tell when people had work done (except once, I am human after all). It was very slight then and did not see the speech tonight so could not tell you whether or not she had more work done. In any case, I do not begrudge anyone for having some work done. Some people need it so they can feel better about themselves. I would not think that she has that problem, but to each their own.

  • Patty

Eloquently, put. Finally, the truth about Obama has his monstrosity and insurmountable policies that have failed to growth confidence, economy and his resistance to actually help the businesses and manufacturing companies who are holding off and holding there money.

Confidence is one thing that has been lacking and when America can’t count on Confidence in the Government to out of our business and stop trying to solve a problem that they made. Well, we will never recover. Pouring more money into more failure and sparing with Congress is immature and wrong.

So, I feel Obama must be impeached. He doesn’t get it. He had more opportunities to excel and be great, truly he did but he is killing business and I wish he would just step back and let our recovery come from the Americans and their ingenuity.

Please, because he will be a one term president.

    Palin/Rubio 2012
I know it’s a dream ticket, but I can dream.

  • Patty

I knew the background of Obama and I listen to many and came to the conclusion way back before the elections he was a socialist. Socialism is not America. Many people who have done so little and make so much are everywhere. And our Government is filled with these people who haven’t done much to deserve such pay.

But Government is one place where these people just sit and do nothing. 25 million unemployed who are praying just to watch us falling off the cliff. I cannot imagine worse things for America than lack of leadership in these times. But we have it and it is destructive and we need capable people who are not involved in Washington to step up to the plate with solutions. I have no idea who Obama is talking to other than Unions and GE.

And they are definitely job killing associates.

  • Patty

Sarah Palin, during her speech at the Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” event in Indianola, Iowa on September 3, 2011, described it well:

“It’s the collusion of big government and big business and big finance to the detriment of all the rest – to the little guys.”

  • Patty

Those agreements are simply unsustainable in the current environment. USPS management needs to be able to renegotiate with the unions to reflect the new reality.

The devastating impact of outrageous labor costs also drove Ford Motors to announce construction of a billion dollar plant—in India!

And so it is all across America: Outlandish pensions and labor costs negotiated by labor unions are bankrupting government municipalities and private business alike, forcing hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work.

If President Obama really wants to tackle unemployment and the economy in a serious way, he should propose sweeping reform of labor agreements to conform to the current reality.

Forget about more taxes and spending, Mr. President! Our nation is being crippled by greedy labor leaders who are not interested in “spreading the wealth” to other Americans.

Reform labor agreements NOW, freeze all new regulations, cut taxes across the board, and just get government out of the way!

That is the way to cut unemployment and rebuild America’s economy.

Patty you are 100% correct. Where I MAY differ with you, is that, I SAW OBAMA for the SHAMELESS LYING ASS-HOLE that he is. He has actually advertised it in his words, acts, deeds and his own books.
He is not a good person, he is not a nice man. People like BOEHNER simply do not have the SMARTS or maybe STREET SMARTS to see this piece of garbage for what he is.

The AP says Obama’s plan isn’t really a plan at all since it is not based on facts

FACT CHECK: Obama’s jobs plan paid for? Seems not
    Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s promise Thursday that everything in his jobs plan will be paid for rests on highly iffy propositions.

It will only be paid for if a committee he can’t control does his bidding, if Congress puts that into law and if leaders in the future – the ones who will feel the fiscal pinch of his proposals – don’t roll it back.

Underscoring the gravity of the nation’s high employment rate, Obama chose a joint session of Congress, normally reserved for a State of the Union speech, to lay out his proposals. But if the moment was extraordinary, the plan he presented was conventional Washington rhetoric in one respect: It employs sleight-of-hand accounting.

The attacks that Gibson faces really cannot be stopped, even if Obama had some sort of epiphany. The government is so gigantic, such a spaghetti mess of interconnected / competing / contradictory controls, that has become a headless-machine.

Obama claimed to want to “cut red tape” [much of which he fabricated] in his “pass this jobs bill now”. It cannot be cut, those elements are way outside of anyone’s control. He wants wealthy / fortunate Americans to “pay their fair share”, that he will get, b/c the headless machine is ever-hungry.

Good luck to Gibson, but we’re all next in line.

  • teapartydoc

We are experiencing a slow motion Kristallnacht against American business by our president and his brownshirts in the unions.

  • ohiochili

I hope Gibson can financially survive this travesty. It’s going to be very expensive defending his company from the corrupt criminals who are supposedly upholding our laws.

I think this would be a great time for us all to buy Gibson and learn how to play.

BTW, it does look as if big MO had a nose job. She also had some of the fat from the messiah’s head transplanted to her butt.

The Obama administration has run up a $4.5 trillion deficit in two and a half years, a trillion of which was Keynesian stimulus that that failed to stimulate our economy. Obama is now demanding that Congress immediately give him an additional $447 billion we do not have so he can run the deficit to $5 trillion with more Keynesian stimulus.

Any member of Congress who votes in favor of bringing this bill to the floor of either house or who votes to pass this bill must be challenged in his next primary and defeated in his next general election.

Congress has real work to do. No more Obama campaign speeches to joint sessions of Congress.

  • Obamas regulation destroy jobs

OMG can’t everyone see that he is a dick-ta-tor???? He is out to destroy what he thinks the WHITE man built!!! geez…… BIG GOVERNMENT= minorities and UNIONS which ===minorities. President at some point begin to talk about their legacy and libraries. ONE WTF will be used by management consultants for the next 100 years to illustrate extremely bad mgmt and the results there of. Last night WTF first talked about freeing up the regulatory mess(had 500changes out of millions of requirements} and 5 minutes later pronounced with vengeance in his attitude that he will mutilate anyone that proposes to change the HS&E, credit card, regulations that have been enacted in the last 4 decades.

Now if you were a federal regulator What Would You Do. Absolutely Nothing except draw a check and hunker done.

Management wise he has rendered his employees to be without positive contribution to competitiveness and road blockers to change.

I have no doubt that the management consultants will be showing videotape of this for a hundred years.

Nice try; however, the power outages were caused by 2 powerful CMEs from the sun as a result of the Elenin comet that has come out of the outer solar system. Asteroid YU55 following in October. I wish it was only NObama and his disasterous regime that we had to worry about.

I am curious and with all the musicians out there they all can’t be liberals. LOL!

But where the H are they, now!

They are sooner or later going to want a Great Guitar and if government has it’s way they won’t be able too. So, they could march in protest but I suppose the don’t want to call to much attention to themselves.

Henry is a hero. remember, President Reagan reminded us trees cause more polltion than cars! Henry bravely sent employees to Madagascar to “illegally” purchase wood from trees on the endangered species list for use as veneer in the fret boards of Gibson guitars. They then proudly forged documents disguising the origin of the wood, and shipped it back to Tennessee! Henry then heroically allowed the endangered trees to be turned into very profitable guitars for the enjoyment of all!. Henry knows flouting the Endangered Species Act and the RICO laws against unlawful conspiracies Is crucial in the fight against creeping Shariah! Keep up the good work, Henry!!

  • tpartynitwit

Come to think of it, Rhino tusks and elephant ivory would be excellent materials for manufacturing the pegs to maintain proper string tension on Henry’s guitars! That’d show them socialist creeps who’s boss!! Go for it, Henry, you’re the man!!!

Hey, I’d bet whale blubber would make great guitar polish!!

Henry’s an inspiration. There’s a large swath of old growth forest out behind our house “protecting” the “watershed.” The trees partially block the view of the lake. A little slash and burn incident would enhance the value of our property, and serve to undermine burdensome regulations. Might even create firefighting jobs!
