Pathetic. Obama Responds to Attack on US Embassy in Syria… With a Lawsuit

Empty Suit Threatens Lawsuit–

Assad loyalists attacked the US Embassy in Damascus yesterday.

Syrian pro-regime supporters wave their national flag as they protest outside the US embassy in Damascus on July 8 against a visit by ambassador Robert Ford to the opposition hotbed city of Hama. The United States summoned Syria’s charge d’affaires, accusing Damascus of failing to meet its international obligations after angry mobs besieged the US and French embassies. (AFP)

In response President Obama took a firm stand by… threatening to file a lawsuit.

So what does the world’s only superpower do? Send in the Marines to get the ambassador out and protect the embassy grounds? Not in the age of Obama. In the age of Obama the US threatens… to file a lawsuit.

“We strongly condemn the Syrian government’s refusal to protect our embassy, and demand compensation for damages. We call on the Syrian government to fulfill its obligations to its own citizens as well,” the statement said.

“We are calling in the Syrian charge [d'affaires] to complain,” said the US official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

“We feel they failed [in their responsibility to protect US diplomats]. We are going to condemn their slow response.”

How weak and pathetic.
A firm response could have sent a clear message to the protesters who continue to stand up to this evil regime. Instead, they get another bow from Obama.

Both the French and American embassies were attacked…but the French compound wasn’t breached because they responded with live fire. When America is shown up by the French, we are definitely in trouble.
