Bill O’Reilly obliterated the liberal media lie that Oslo mass murderer Anders Breivik was a Christian extremist.
O’Reilly reported the truth on his show last night:

FOX Nation has the transcript.

BILL O’REILLY, FOX NEWS HOST: “Impact” segment tonight: mass murder in Norway. A vicious killer, Anders Breivik, has murdered at least 76 people in the Scandinavian nation of Norway. Breivik is a brutal fanatic who apparently objects to the presence of Muslims in Europe.

Last Friday he bombed buildings in Oslo and then took an automatic weapon to an island a few miles away gunning down 68 people. Norwegian authorities couldn’t get to the island because they didn’t have a helicopter, if you can believe it.

Now, on Sunday, the “New York Times” headlined “As Horrors Emerged, Norway Charges Christian extremist”. A number of other news organizations like the “LA Times” and Reuters also played up the Christian angle. But Breivik is not a Christian. That’s impossible. No one believing in Jesus commits mass murder. The man might have called himself a Christian on the net, but he is certainly not of that faith.

Also Breivik is not attached to any church, and in fact has criticized the Protestant belief system in general. The Christian angle came from a Norwegian policeman not from any fact finding. Once again, we can find no evidence, none, that this killer practiced Christianity in any way.

So why is the angle being played up? Two reasons: First, the liberal media wants to make an equivalency between the actions of Breivik and the Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh and al Qaeda. The left wants you to believe that fundamentalists Christians are a threat just like crazy jihadists are.

In fact, in the “New York Times” today an analysis piece says that some believe we have overreacted to the Muslim threat in the world. Of course, that’s absurd. Jihadists have killed tens of thousands of people all over the world. The Taliban, Iran and elements in Pakistan use governmental power to support terrorism by Muslims. But the left-wing press wants to compare nuts like Breivik and McVeigh to state-sponsored terrorism and worldwide jihad.

Again, dishonest and insane.

There’s more at FOX Nation.

  1. The liberal nature is to show it’s hand, by who it attacks. The liberal movement considers Christians the enemy. That should scare any sane “independent” to death. If you believe in “turning the other cheek”, and “do unto others as you would have done unto you”- you are the enemy to these folks. Scary.

  2. Cue the inevitable link to “No True Scotsman” at wikipedia.

That argument doesn’t hold a drop of water, but they’ll use it anyway.

There really is such a thing as false Christianity, but the “No True Scotsman” people just will not see.

    Not: cannot. WILL not.

  3. Bill O’Reilly must have finally realized that he has lost his audience.

  4. About four months ago the NY Times wrote a favorable review of a Broadway play named The Book of Mormon.

Gosh, I wonder how the NY Times would critique something like The Kooky Koran.

Some mockery is more equal than others !

  5. Seventeen thousand three hundred deadly Muslim attacks, by people who call themselves Muslims, since 9/2001, and the Libs all say, in grand choral unison, “They Weren’t Really Muslims! They Weren’t Really Muslims! They Weren’t Really Muslims!”

One deadly attack by someone who might have called himself a Christian — or, some random voice once said he was a Christian — and the Libs all say, in gleeful, excited unison, “Yeppers. He was a Christian. SEE WHAT CHRISTIANS DO!!?!”

17,300 Muslims attack, citing chapter and verse of Mohammad’s writing and doing exactly as Mohammad did in his life, and the Libs think they’re not representative of Islam: Lefties know better than Muslims what True Islam is.

One guy does all the exact opposite of what the record of Christ’s life and words say to do, and the Libs have forevermore, somehow, through some twisted bass-ackward illogic, a GREAT example of “Christians Doing It Too!”, and a way for them to excuse all those self-proclaimed Muslim murders.

One thing about this incident that is not all bad: It has greatly clarified for me the absolute self-deception of American Progressives. It could not be more clear, nor has it ever been.

  6. I’m more worried about the Sociopath Justice terrorist the New York media is recruiting to “act out”

  7. Yeah, and look at all those enraged falsely accused Christians rioting all over the world//////

  8. Major Hasan yelled ‘allah akbar’ as he shot up Fort Hood and killed 13 people. And the reason why was. . . racial harassment or something?

  9. Shahzad Faisal tried to set off a car bomb in Times Square, and the reason why was . . . he was upset about the Health Care bill? Or was it his immigration status? Something like that.

  10. Still nothing in the headlines about this butcher being the son of a retired diplomat.

  11. Bill O’Reilly must have finally realized that he has lost his audience.

Nah, he’ll be scolding the TEA Party today.

  12. The guy also pretended to be a police officer.

Why have no Lib Trolls come in here saying, “You people are crazy! What more do you need! He SAID he was a police officer! THIS is an example of Police Officers Doing It Too!”

Needless to say, he was a fake police officer.

He was also a fake Christian.

But the American Progressive Anti-Christ Brigade will not see. They don’t want to see, since they are comfortable in their hateful delusion.

Not to mention their suicidal delusion regarding Muslims who call themselves Muslims who murder in direct accordance with the Koran and Hadith, and on the command of their Imam.

They don’t pull out their well-worn “No True Scotsman” bunk with these. These are Not True Muslims. Never mind that they ARE the truest, most-like-Mohammad, closest-to-scripture-adhering Muslims that there ever could be.

Full and complete deception, folks. That’s what we are witness to in America’s progressives. Never has it been more clear.

  13. Bill : Just when I thought you couldn’t possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!

  14. I’m quite sure no New York Times writer has ever read a single book in the New Testament.
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” 1 JOHN 4:11

  15. Real Christians prefer going after pot smokers. But the Christians are generally a genteel lot. They prefer hiring others for their dirty work. And not just any others. They want government functionaries “handling” the problem.

Of course they are generally haters of government. Go figure.

  16. I’ve lost a lot of faith in O’Reilly over the last two years, but this segment was brilliant. He hit the nail on the head. Good job Bill ….

  17. M. Simon – spoken like a true leftist hater.

  18. Yet the BBC has a new piece put today describing him, once again, as a “Christian conservative extremist”. They don’t care if there is any evidence to support it. They feel if they say it enough times, the public will believe it, and it usually works….unless we loudly demand the facts.

Note to M. Simon: I’m a Christian but I wasn’t aware we could farm out our sinful desires to be done by others, nor did I realize that pot smoking was our #1 priority. Where did you come up with that one? After a few joints, maybe?

  19. so this is 2 times recently bill has spoke of something good…that means we must be in for some liberal tirade to be spewed forth next out of his mouth

  20. I will believe in Christian compassion when I see a call for an end to the pogrom on heroin users.

Did you know that about 70% of female heroin users were sexually abused children? (See Dr. Lonnie Shavelson’s book “Heroin”) And of course sexually abused children provide a cohort ready for prostitution.

So where is the compassion? Instead of punishing these people we should be helping them. We should be focusing on child abuse. I don’t see it. Oh. There are individual cases. But where is the social movement? I don’t see it.

  21. Ecclesiastes 10:2

A wise man’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him toward the left.

  22. #20 Simon “But where is the social movement? I don’t see it”

    Right here
A solution that involves finding a higher power, cleaning house, and working with others.

  23. There are a whole lot of reasons this man is not really a Christian – starting with his own words!

    http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-spokane/despite-media-claims-norwegian-terrorist-not-a-true-christian

  24. I don’t remember similar media reactions after Ft Hood. Or 9-11. Or any of the almost 17,500 mohammedan terror attacks since 9-11.

    Strange no?

The media and the left is once again showing where they stand: with the real terrorists.

    I say: kill them all.

  25. Gee, maybe O’Reilly has found his brain cell – good speech. The shooter is not a loon though; he is evil, but he is of clear thought and failed majorily in the execution of how to deal with the problem and that would be that he does not believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Only turning back to God is going to save us out of this. When we finally put our trust in God, “In God We Trust”, then God will save us.

  26. “#20 July 26, 2011 at 9:32 am
    M. Simon commented:”

??????? pogrom ?????? you don’t know what that word means.

Heroin users in the US get treatment and compassion — provided they accept it. We just really, really do not know how to treat heroin addiction reliably. If you’re talking about Amy Winehouse, understand that she got a lot of sympathy here, and that she could have gotten the very best of private treatment, any time she wanted it. Because she was also an adult who had not committed any other crime besides drug use itself, she stayed free.

Pogroms are what the Russian government used to round up Jews, kill them, and take their property. We don’t do that to anybody, and we have made a point of treating all people the same: you know what I mean, that “liberty and justice for all” thing.

The Russians were also bad about saying somebody was “crazy” because of their political positions, not their mental health, and then putting them in “hospitals” which were prisons. We don’t do that, either.

If I had my way, I’d make it much easier to commit a person with a documented mental disease or addiction, but I’m not going to push for it, because the Russians have given us such a lousy example of governmental abuse in the name of “compassion.”

  27. It’s about time he stood up to the left, but one lone voice in the wilderness isn’t going to change many minds. O’Reilly has been giving Obama and the left a free pass for quite some time. I quit watching him, if I want to see and hear the same thing MSNBC is saying I’d watch MSNBC. He does a lot for the wounded soldiers, but his politics stinks.

  28. M. Simon, what in the hell are you talking about? Since when do CHRISTIANS have anything to do with persecuting heroin users, or any other drug users for that matter? The Christian community prides itself on offering help and guidance to people of all walks of life, regardless of their personal demons. Have you ever set foot in a Christian church, and asked someone for help with your drug problem? I think not. If you had, you would know that there is a wealth of help and information available in most Christian churches. Therefore, I fail to see how your attacks are warranted.

However, if you are looking for some sort of endorsement of illegal drug use from the Christian community, you aren’t going to get it. Illegal drug abuse ruins millions of peoples’ lives every day. I sincerely doubt that Christians will ever “approve” of their use.

I’m guessing you’re just another pathetic leftist, who hates all forms of religion, and seeks to demonize Christians because they’re an easy target, and they make you feel inferior. Right?

  30. Buddy,

About 5% of heroin users spontaneously quit every year. And you know what the rehab industry can do (both Christian and secular)? If the statistics were honest about 5% a year. (they get dishonest statistics by not counting drop outs).

People quit heroin when they are no longer in pain. Rehab can speed that up by a few months. It can not change the general trajectory.

People in chronic pain chronically take pain medications.

Rather obvious no? And yet the most obvious thing in the world remains a mystery to the general population. Government propaganda at its finest. Even the anti-government folks fall for it. One of the best conns ever perpetrated.

And you know who it works best on ? The “moral” element of our society. How totally amusing.

Why are we punishing people in pain? I thought this was a Christian country (generally). Or at least why does our Christian element remain the strongest proponent of prohibition?

I blame it on government propaganda. The most anti-government segment of the general population is with the government on this one. It is a miracle. Or deviltry. Depending.

  31. O’Reilly has it completely correct. Good job, Bill on exposing the corrupt and biased incentives of the Lame Stream Media.

  32. #30 M.Simon “People quit heroin when they are no longer in pain”

An addicted person has lost the power of choice. They’re powerless.
And therefore the solution is to find a higher power.

NA is rooted in AA. And AA began as an off-shoot of the Oxford Group which was a Christian Evangelical movement.

  33. Bill O’riley is a true american now that he has saw the light that Jehad is the enemy in this world. Breishvik was probably a secret musilm just like obamma.

  35. When I saw that headline in The New York Times over the weekend, my reaction was similar to Bill’s. I was extremely disappointed that not a single one of the conservative blogs I read picked up on the Christian smear angle of the story the way O’Reilly did.

I’m glad O’Reilly brought the media’s dishonesty to light.

  36. BG…is that all you can do is call people trolls…yes simon may be a dim wit and off topic…but last I checked its free speech..so enough with the troll BS…don’t give the loser more ammo

  37. I rarely have time to go back and analyze the arguments which may be posted in response to my statements—because there are so many far-right-wing-ultra-conservative Internet sites to be read. In positing the following comment, the only thing I ask is that whether the assertions be mine or others,
divest yourselves of all pejorative thinking and investigate for yourself to find the truth:

“Bill O’Reilly doesn’t obliterate anything. Killing is okay, as long as it’s God’s will. Don’t forget, O’Reilly egged on the murder of George Tiller (the abortion doctor) because God said the human life begins at conception–ipso facto Tiller committed murder (based on religion, but not necessarily science).

Conservatives think that because O’Reilly says that “anyone who commits such a horrific act cannot be a Christian. But there are plenty of Fundamentalist Christians who would disagree with him. That’s the problem with religion–it can be used to justify the most horrendous acts, depending on the rationale of the believer.”

If you want to be entertained, watch FOX, MSNBC, or CNN. If you want to be informed, real news and analysis, watch LinkTV or FreeSpeechTV or CurrentTV for real news, analysis, and documentaries.

I have not watched O’R since he started blaming the Tea Party for the crises we are currently in and I am going to do my best to stick to that…….
However, he got this one right.
Let’s hope that some brave soul in the media does some investigaive reporting on this terrorist. If there is a group of people just like him, it would be nice for know and if he had jihadi backup it would also be nice to know. But the current narrative will just keep him the new poster child for right wing terrorists. Replacing McVeigh who never should have been allowed that position in the first place.

  46. Breivik writes in his manifesto that he is not religious, has doubts about God’s existence, does not pray, but does assert the primacy of Europe’s “Christian culture” as well as his own pagan Nordic culture.
    - Breivik instead hails Charles Darwin, whose evolutionary theories stand in contrast to the claims of the Bible, and affirms: “As for the Church and science, it is essential that science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings. Europe has always been the cradle of science, and it must always continue to be that way. Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe.”
    - The terrorist also candidly admits he finds no support within either the Catholic or Protestant churches for his violent ideas.

No one stated they were not Really Muslims. Where are you getting that from?

Aside from that, stating “a REAL Christian wouldn’t do that”, is funny. I’m a Christian and debated someone after they stated that. I went through several items and we found a true Christian would not commit adultery, would not lie, would not steal, have pre-marital sex, all acts that would be committed by someone who is not a “True Christian”.

However, my Christian fanatical friend told me, all these people need to do is repent and they are “True Christians” again! LOL

Are you kidding me? That’s all we hear from everyone in the entire MSM establishment, from their news divisions to their crime dramas to their comedies. “Those who kill while shouting ‘Allahu Ackbar!’ after reading the life and commands of Mohammad and listening to the marching orders from their Imams ARE NOT REALLY MUSLIMS…they’re just a TINY MINORITY which has HIJACKED the true Religion Of Peace known as Islam.”

Haven’t you noticed that practically everyone in our government and media establishment allege that all those thousands of Muslim terrorists (and by extension the millions who support and assist and encourage and applaud them) have “hijacked” or “perverted” a “great religion”?

Haven’t you heard the Muslim tagiya masters asserting (for the infidel audience) that the terrorists are “not real Muslims”?
