In his weekly address this week Barack Obama blamed the Bush Administration for his record defict.
The Hill reported:
“We can meet our fiscal challenge,” the president said. “That’s what the American people sent us here to do. They didn’t send us here to kick our problems down the road. That’s exactly what they don’t like about Washington. They sent us here to work together. They sent us here to get things done.”
Obama sounded a positive note about negotiations over raising the federal government’s debt limit.
“The good news is, we agree on some of the big things,” he said. “We agree that after a decade of racking up deficits and debt, we finally need to get our fiscal house in order.”
Actually, the good news is that the democrat-media complex continues to give him a complete pass when he opens his mouth and lies.
Once again – Here is chart showing the budget deficits over the last decade.
Barack Obama increased the national debt by over $3 trillion in just over 2 years.
Obama tripled the deficit in one year with his failed stimulus plan.

The Obama deficit this year may reach $1.65 trillion. (The Captain’s Comments)
But why not blame Bush?
The state-run media sure isn’t going to say anything.

His statement rings true as far as it goes (7 Bush deficits, 3 Obama), but I must ask: If we all agree, Mr. President, why didn’t you propose a budget that showed you intended to get our fiscal house in order?
Unfortunately, the term “fiscal house in order” does not appear to mean the same to a progressive as it does to a conservative.

I can say with all confidence we’ve never had a president as psychologically unsound as this guy.
SeniorD commented:
WSG @#2 asks a good question, if the budget was so out of whack when the inept Puppet President took office, why did he let trillions more over spending go in the first place?
Answer: He truly wants this country to fall to Third World levels and let his Maoist Masters reap the benefits.
Response: The Declaration of Independence has never been as valid as today.

Obama blaming Bush is like a serial bank robber blaming a shoplifter for the crime spree.

Look, I’m not defending the guy, but we had a big deficit when he came into office. He tried, including Republicans, passed these stimulus bills to help get the economy moving. Yeah, it hasn’t worked as we’d like, but these things take time to shape up. So NFP jobs were low. Did you see which jobs were the most hacked last month? they were goverment jobs! Isn’t that what we want? Smaller goverment? The ADP numbers, on the other hand, were alot higher than the NFP numbers. What you think happened there? I think maybe these goverment workers are now working in the private sector that naturally occurs when the goverment is getting smaller.

You know . . . if 9/11 and the 2 subsequent wars had not happened, Obama would have a legitimate gripe. But to ignore that the Islamists were trying to destroy us, our economy and way of life is stupid. I don’t know why people don’t realize that those events affected how President Bush’s administration affected.
And if people don’t remember that it was the bullying of banks to hand out sub-prime mortgages by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that led to the economic crisis, then the GOP needs to consistently remind them through this next election cycle. They should repeat often those clips of Frank, Dodd and Watters attacking those who were trying to warn our banking system and regulate Fannie and Freddie. And they should also be reminded that it was Obama who sued banks to force those sub-prime loans.
Re-inventing history cannot be allowed.

“We finally need to get our fiscal house in order.” Almost $5 TRILLION in new debt in 30 months and that comes out of the Anointed One’s mouth. Utter, shameless hypocrisy.

How come NO ONE mentions that the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress the last 2 years of President Bush’s administration?
Is Obama admitting that GW is such a political genius that he bent Congress to his will so Democrats are blameless for the budget mess?

Barry is just following in the footsteps of another failed leader. Does Robert Mugabe ring a bell? If anyone here has not heard of him, he took a prosperous country — Rhodesia — and totally bankrupted it. That is exactly what Barry is doing, but on a grander scale.
Chisum commented:
On March 16, 2006, one Democratic senator in particular denounced George W. Bush’s request to raise the debt limit. “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” the senator thundered. “Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. . . . Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.”That senator was Barack Obama, and he, along with most Democrats, voted against a higher limit that day.
