Rush Limbaugh told Greta Van Susteren tonight that Barack Obama is most afraid of Sarah Palin. He added that Governor Chris Christie, former Senator Santorum, and Governor Rick Perry also scare the White House and they’re hoping that a moderate or liberal Republican wins the primary.

Rush likes to play the fashion these days. This is coming from a long time DIDDOhead.
Jumping from one weak fad to the other, including TRUMP.
Democrats are eager for a simple stereotype they can debase – just like Delaware’s Debacle. This Celebrity offering will reelect Mr. Obama with ease.
Just as I tried to warn about the terrible Maverick offering, I strongly suggest one rethinks this concept. It isn’t about the level of conservatism.

Nu uhhhhh! Obama is most afraid of John Hunstman!! That’s what ABC News said, and they should know! Oh, the White House didn’t want anyone to know of course, but intrepid ABC finagled the info out of them, like any good old-school journalist would. The admin tried to keep it a secret, the last thing they want the GOP to know is how afraid of Hunstman they really are, but word got out somehow.
Let’s face it…. you KNOW the entire administration political apparatus is being kept awake at night by the spectre of John Hunstman.
So, time to get on the Hunstman bandwagon, people! Huntsman! Huntsman! The guy Obama is really afraid of! After all, they told us so!
They also mentioned something about a “briar patch”, but I forget what that was about.

And as Rick Perry is concerned, it was Sarah Palin’s support and the crowds she pulled that helped him to win his governorship.
Without her, he would’t be on that position today and that is an indicator of the real power Sarah holds.
And another observation; It looks like Sarah Palin who has just exceeded the magic 3 million members on her Facebook has more than million more fans than all the rest potential and actual GOP candidates put together.
And that in an even bigger indicator of her popularity and power.
P.S: A message to OLD FAN; Stop getting high and hallucinating on your own fumes, will ya?

Rush is absolutely dead-on correct on this subject. The left and their lapdog mainstream media will do everything in their power to get the worst possible (most “moderate”) Republican nominated, and everything in their power to ignore, marginalize, and/or attack the most conservative candidates. It’s to their advantage. They do it every election. That’s how we ended up with McCain.
We conservatives simply must ignore the lamestream media when it comes to picking OUR candidate in 2012.

We lost in 2008 because our conservative base stayed home, our candidate ran a poor campaign and the media acted as a propaganda arm of the Obama machine,
McCain gamed the nomination process causing conservatives, who rightly opposed his many compromises on campaign finance, education, immigration and his participation in the gang of 14, to ask why he deserved their backing. The better question would have been, “What if Obama wins?”
My major criticism of his campaign was not linking Obama to radical islamists. anti-Israeli intellectuals, radical groups iike the new black panthers, ACORN, the New Party in Chicago and the corrupt Daley machine. The gloves never came off.
In 2008, the media never vetted Obama, or examined his voting record. With the exception of NewsCorp, the media have lost their credibility. The print media and major networks are dying well deserved deaths for using their Constitutional position and public trust to advance a political candidate while attacking his opponent.
What were the result? Democrats took ther Oval Office and super majorities in both houses of Congress.
Arch commented:
What happened in 2010? A sea change in American politics, inspired and fueled by a true grass roots revolt against the positions of this far left government.
After squandering a trillion dollars, unemployment rose and we are sinking into another recession while facing double digit inflation.
Our heavily subsidized auto industries are still not viable.
The borders are still open.
Housing is in the toilet.
Our new health care system will gut Medicare and bend the cost curve up, not down.
Although the wheels gave come off the AGW myth and Congress could not pass it, Obama is implementing it by fiat.

Arch is right. Last election was lost because Repubs didn’t fight like Dems. It was Mark MacKinnon(sp? a guy I’ve never trusted) who threatened if McCain criticized BO, he’d quit the campaign. Now isn’t DNCChair Wasserman-Schultz demanding Republicans promise they won’t bring up Israel? Sounds to me it’s to do the same thing: protect BO. And we’re fools to go along with these people. They demand this of us while they’re out there doing Opposition research on Republicans who haven’t even announced an intention to run! They expose anything, and lie about everything.
We have to be willing to get dirty with this filth. That simply means exposing the ugly truth about them. We had all the goods on this Marxist fraud and didn’t use any of it. America deserved to know. But Republicans were pathetic wimps.

What’s really sad is if Palin does throw her hat in the ring she will be the most vetted candidate in history. The MSM will go out of it’s way to trash her as much as possible and Obama will be once again left totally alone except for their salutations. Of course this will happen to any of the GOP candidates, but their total distaste for Palin because of her ability to connect with the masses, will get the MSM salivating. This country needs a leader and someone who won’t back down, and this is not Obama.

Palin is the Silver Bullet of Doom to Obama. Why do you think the Journo-listers felt such an urgent need to bring her down? The only reason she is so viliffied is because of the Journo-list conspiracy. They have undoubtedly re-grouped and are spewing convenient memes for the braindead public. For example “gutsy call” was a journo-list meme. (‘Gutsy call’–yeah, right.)
For the last few months, they have been trying to convince the public that Palin is unelectable and over the hill. They only wish.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
They want to discourage us about Palin’s prospects and force Huntsman down our throats, rather like they forced McCain down our throats. He’s the state media’s Republican candidate. Look at all the press he gets. We, ourselves, never even think of him. He’s a candidate manufactured by George Soros and his media minions. Remember, they will flood these blogs with astro-turfed “Republicans” in order to throw everything off-track. Resist with all your strength.
The only person who will beat Obama is Palin. Get behind her right now and start lifting. Your life, and those of your kids, depends on it.
retire05 commented:
John03, just curious, why do you think Rick Perry is not presidential material? What makes one “presidental material” in your book. Also, you said that Perry has been your governor for several years which brings me to another question, where are you from?
Has Perry made mistakes? You betcha? But he is a quick learner, and that you can’t take away from him. And results don’t lie. So let’s take a look at the results:
We have a true unemployment rate of around 14%, Great Depression numbers. But not Texas. Our unemployment rate is 7.7%. In times when it is all about jobs, jobs, jobs, Texas has created jobs in the private sector to the tune of 732,800 in the last ten years, 251,700 of them in the last year. Compare that to the #2 job creating state of Arizona whose numbers are 90,200/18,200. If Texas had not seen an influx in its population of people moving from failed states so they can find a job, our unemployment rate would be lower, in spite of 25,000 Texans losing their jobs due to the off-shore moritorium.
Texas has been voted the most “business friendly” state for the last two years. We have no state income tax (because Perry threatened to veto it when the Dems were in control of the Texas House), our educational system graduate a greater percentage of minorities than Wisconsin (who claim their education is better due to union teachers), our ad valorum taxes were reduced two years ago (due to a bill Perry pushed), our budget has been met with more accountability being placed on school districts who spend our tax dollars like D.C., housing did not go belly up like Florida and other states (except for a few areas in Dallas and Houston).
And all the while the Obama administration has done everything it can to punish Texas for being a red state. Oh, yeah, y’all know about the Arizona law suit, but do you know how many cases are pending in the courts with Texas suing the Obama administration for a violation of our 10th Amendment rights? From our right to air pollution control permits, to our right to have our borders protected, to the threats to make Texas a “no-fly” zone if it enforces the 4th Amendment, to trying to kill the oil industry in the Permian Basin over a lizard?
We have seen what happens when we get a president that is really not “presidential material” who has never so much as run a lemonaid stand. Or has never worn the uniform of his nation, as he goes overseas and tells them how bad we colonialists are. So I am really curious as to what makes someone presidential material.
Were both Perry and Palin running, I would be torn who to vote for. But don’t discount Rick because he darn sure in not afraid to take Obama on, and Rick is an awsome speaker who doesn’t need a teleprompter or ear piece to give answers.

Of course, these are just my opinions and I’m open to civil debate.

I’d love to see how well West does in a debate. We’ve got some great people, but Larkin is right: we can’t let the Dems choose our nominee again – and they’ll be doing whatever they can to achieve it.
We may have to beg and plead the absolute best candidate to run. It’s curtains for America if we don’t win this next election. And the candidate must realize that – if they don’t, they won’t win.

Retire05. I’m a native Texan and have lived here the better part of my 50 something years. When I was in exile I asked the good lord every day to help me find a way to get me back here, so I appreciate living here as much as anyone.
Don’t get me me wrong, I’m as much a conservative as anyone and as I said above I’d vote for Gov. Perry if he ended up being the nominee. My problems with him are related to our current budget problems and his lack of leadership on the issue. Governer Perry wants to balance the budget through cuts alone and is totally opposed to using even a part of our rainy day fund. While I’m usually in favor of most budget cuts, our $15 – 23 billion dollar shortfall cannot be done through cuts alone without causing severe problems to our state. Texas is already at the bottom of the barrel as far as payments to nursing homes for poor elderly patients and the cuts proposed in his budget would force facilities to severely limit their ability to continue to care for these patients.
The rainy day fund was created for times such as these. I truly believe in Texas and that our economy will recover. Why will he not agree to spend any of these emergency funds? Sadly, I believe he is playing politics wanting to point to a great war chest he has built despite tough economic times. I think he’s had aspirations of running for president for some time and is trying to hide or gloss over our budget problems to enforce his position as being tough on spending. This is politics; not leadership.
retire05 commented:
John03, nursing home payments? Nursing home payments are covered by Medicare/Medicaid and it something that is basically controlled by the Feds. And what ever happened to a responsible America that took care of their own elderly? Have we become such a nanny state that when our citizens get old, we just dump them into a nursing home so we don’t have to be inconvienced by taking care of them?
As to our “rainy” day fund. No, I don’t want it tapped into to balance a budget that is bloated because school districts can’t control their spending. Want a clue as to how much the schools spend? Go to the Red Apple Project website. Then explain to me why ISDs have to spend $9,000 a year to educate one kid when the parochial schools can produce better students for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost. There is NO accountability in the ISD system. None. And it is high time there is.
So we deplete our rainy day fund and what happens when another Ike hits our coast? Do you think the Feds reimbursed us for all that damage? Well, they didn’t because slugs like Janet Napolitano felt the money promised to Texas when Ike hit could be better spent somewhere else, like New Orleans. So when it happens again, and it will, and we have a community organizer in office, who will pick up the pieces for Texans who have lost everything through no fault of their own. I for one do not want our rainy day fund depleted because we don’t demand accountability from our state agencies and our ISDs.
We had a budget shortfall due to the machinations of people like Barney Frank, who has never accepted responsibility for the GSE fiasco. All states had a budget shortfall. And yes, we will make it up by demanding that the state agencies handle their money as if it were their own dollars being spent. That starts with the school districts. Not spending that money is not politics, it is sound fiscal principal that accepts the fact that there will be disasters that we will have to deal with and Obama will lend NO help. Take a look at the fact that we can’t even get a declaration of disaster after we have already lost 2.3 million acres to fires.
john03 commented:
Retire05, Medicare doesn’t cover nursing home payments unless it’s a short-term rehab situation. States set the rates for Medicaid, not the Feds. The Federal Govt. pays approx. 60% of Medicaid while the state picks up the other part. While I don’t disagree with your contention that we’ve failed in our personal responsibility to take care of our elderly, that still doesn’t change the fact that many would be left to die without assistance. I’m sorry, but that’s something I’m not willing to live with.
I also agree with you that we spend too much on public education and many of my teacher friends agree also. The problem is we can’t just slash spending without lifting the mandates placed on the school system by the government. Government decided classes were too big so they don’t allow over a certain number of students. Now that we can’t afford the smaller teacher/student ratios, facilities have been remodeled to accomodate the smaller classes. Very frustrating.
