Sarah Palin is the first Republican leader to speak at the event in New Delhi.
Sarah was invited to speak on her Vision for America.
Today’s tea party is a strong and vibrant movement in the US.
The former VP candidate is emphasizing energy challenges. “We all face energy challenges in the international arena.”
ENERGY is the key. My vision for a free and prosperous America involves an emphasis on energy.
On green energy– I am in favor of an “all of the above approach” to energy.
Unfortunately, though some have stymied responsible drilling. It means we continue to transfer hundreds of millions of American dollars to foreign regimes. Everything is touched.
As government locks up land – they try to tell us that green jobs are our future.
“A recent British study found that for every green job, 4 jobs were lost.”
This is social engineering.
Americans can tap into our own natural resources. And natural gas- green and efficient. Natural gas is an ideal “bridge fuel” to the future. It’s a false fairy tale for government to interfere and for Americans to believe that we don’t need oil and gas.
“Big government ideas are once again being thrown into the ash heap of history – but they’re not going quietly.”
The future lies with us. There are few limits to what India and America can do together. We both want to expand trade and investment with allies.
It is our people who are driving this relationship.
Our ties and our bonds are deep. They’re driven by a free people and a free markets not by conclaves.
We will lead because we are on the side of people to make decisions for themselves. We are on the side of religious tolerance and women’s rights. I admire India’s history of strong women leaders.
I am proud to say that I supported South Carolina’s first Indian governor Nikki Haley. I support the tea party a vibrant and growing movement.
On social media- We should look at this as an opportunity to advance freedom.
This hunger for freedom is not just American. We have such a connection. Half a world apart but connected by this. We can lead by example.

On trade with India–
Sarah Palin: We are thankful for the free trade agreements throughout the world.
On foreign policy-
Sarah Palin: There would have been more decisiveness. We have a rich tradition on being on the side of those who seek freedom. “Less dithering and more decisiveness.”
On China-
Sarah Palin: China has a choice. We need to be sure and India needs to be sure that we are clear with their expectations… We say they manipulate their currency. They accuse us of the same.
…What’s with the military buildup? We have concerns… Again we look forward to see them making the right choice.
On the tea party movement-
Sarah Palin: The tea party patriots just want the Constitution to be followed. It’s smaller smarter government. It’s too good to have a leader.
On campaigning for VP-
Sarah Palin: You can’t really trust the media. You have to have the boldness and courage of setting the record straight. Especially when they have made their choice… I’m not just going to sit back and take it. I’ve learned you can’t just trust the media to set the record straight. Republicans have the fighting instinct of sheep sometimes. I don’t play the victim card when they do choose to set the election straight.
On losing election-
Sarah Palin: Obama was a change agent.
Question: But so were you.
Sarah Palin: But I wasn’t on the top of the ticket.
Sarah Palin: It’s time a woman became president of the United States of America. (Applause)
Sarah Palin: I am a strong supporter of peace through strength… If we want a more peaceful world India and America must work more closely together.
Her role in Republican Party-
Sarah Palin: I’m pretty independent and some people don’t like that… I’m a mom and I just don’t have the time to play some of the games the guys want to play.
On reviving American economy-
Sarah Palin: It’s common sense free market principles. Cutting spending.
Last question – Will your husband be called the first man? First dude?
Sarah Palin: I’m not sure if I’m running yet.
Closing statement: When I was waiting for your speech I was talking to an official and he said he was looking forward to her speech. I asked him why and he said,
“Because Sarah Palin is a a friend of India.”

Senate Rule 93 says that when the Legislature is in special session, “A notice of a committee meeting is not required other than posting on the legislative bulletin board.”

I think it was a masterful stroke against the jerks that were trying to waste the Alaskan citizens’ money on lawsuits because they’d lost the election. She accomplished her specific objectives on which she campaigned, she had a competent successor, and she took the issues away from some cheaters. That’s how a real, creative leader acts. I admire the move.
If she runs for President, I am going to vote for her.

Pakistan and CHina were the big winners, India’s mortal enemies. India is on the front lines, not the USA is, and is tested constantly.
Bush’s strategic defense alliance with India solidly broke with the past of 1/2 for India, 1/2 for Pakistan, a situation that did not weigh in any measure how those two now separate nations have been developing. Since 1948 Partition, Pakistan gets progressively more closed and hostile, India gets progressively more open. India has been chafing with resentment for decades now, and when Bush announced recognizing India as a full ally in full partnership, it was like a bolt of lightening had gone through the Indians. We were there when it was annouced and we can attest that it was THE topic everywhere, all the time, and the tone was of excitement and decalrations that the USA was recognizing India as a legitimate super power, favoring the Democracy over the tyrants.
They WANTED that alliance, they praised Bush for his vision and leadership, they tasked some of their best and brightest to get it ratified in the USA, but YEARS of Democrats in Congress block-block-blocking them at every corner has made them sour on Democrats. It was clear the Democrats wanted the staus quo, 1/2 for Indian, 1/2 for Pakistan, no care for India’s security as an ally as Pakistan staggers.
India’s disappointment has been shifting to outright alarm and SHOCK as Democrat Obama gave the green light through a letter of understanding for CHINA to mediate between Pakistan and India border disputes! Talk about the fox guarding the hen house!
China has in its illegal possession a CHUNK of Indian territory it took by military invasion, at the cost of many Indian lives trying to defend the borders. Obama then used PM Manmohan Singh as hardly more than a party favor at the”first state dinner,” the focus was on all of Obama’s celebrity guests, and Michelle’s organic winter garden “produce,” not on Singh’s urging to keep US troops in Afghanistan, to revive the strategic defense initiative, his objections to Obama’s dangerous deal with China, to try to recover the RESPECT and VALUE India had when BUSH was POTUS.
Like most everyone else, Indians are VERY sensitive to being snubbed or thought of as inferior. Democrats consistently display condescending and outright dangerous policies for India. Indians have NOTICED, and they DON’T like it.
For REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE SARAH PALIN to go to INDIA for a major speech is leadership in action, in vision and in strategic thinking and is a chance for Indians to meet Americans who VALUE India as an ALLY and for Indians to reconsider their long-time, but plainly unsatisfying relationship with Democrats. Palin continues to demonstrate she thinks and acts FAR outside the limited Beltway box.

To refer specifically to your statement there, think of how many people “hate” Palin because they were encouraged by the media and Democrats that was the correct way to “think.” Pin ‘em down and they can’t articulate why. To be quite honest the idolization of Sarah Palin as a savior who will come to the rescue of America worries me for the same reasons it worried me when people idolized Obama. We’re just falling into the same trap the left did with Obama – too starry eyed to notice any down side, so sure that this one will be the answer to all of our problems, so confident that she represents a bright new future. She should have been called out on that “about time a woman” statement, yet in over 50 mostly fawning comments, only one other person has mentioned it. I’d like to see a little more honesty and objectivity when it comes to commentary on the people who may well end up our President.

I don’t particularly long for a female President, and I don’t think that we all share any qualities that would make us better suited for it than a man. But come on, we are half the population. The pool of women who are well-qualified is large enough that it’s inevitable that we will have strong female candidates and eventually a female VP or President. There have been so many female governors, Senators, Representatives, business and military leaders, and judges in the last quarter century that, barring discrimination, they will as a matter of course attain the highest offices. Enough time has passed, enough women have become qualified, so that just as Sarah says, “it’s time”.

Palin’s challenging the PUMAs to compare her record of actually working up thru the system versus Hillary’s connected spouse jobs – Hillary got all her positions thru Bill’s connections. Hillary’s has NEVER had to interview for ANY job EVER, pay the dues. It SHOWS. Palin is the real deal, Hillary has always been the fake, a facade of a professional woman. Unlike Hillary who made it her campaign call, Palin isn’t running on that, she’s much more capable and experienced.

I watched his entire introduction, and I don’t believe he was mocking her – I think he was trying to be humorous and to give the audience an overview of her and her life as a conservative politician in America – kind of an “she is what she is” explanation. I thought that some of his anecdotes did make her uncomfortable, but it’s difficult to sit in front of a bunch of strangers and listen to someone talking to them about you, whether they’re saying good things or bad. I came away with a distinct impression that he likes her, and that although she’s different than their past American speakers, he thinks she is a person who will be of interest to Indians. I haven’t read reviews from India about her speech, but her reviews here have been mostly positive.

Palin has put her entire life out there for examination. She’s invited America into her home. She has been put through a meat grinder over and over again for over the past two years, and no matter what, she still comes out stronger, and her convictions unchanged. Now chose any other possible contender, and just for a moment, put each and every one of them in the same scenario that Palin was put in.
How do you think they will fare in the end. Will they stand with their convictions, or when they feel the heat and change their positions to gain votes? How will they fare when the left leaning media feverishly dig through their dumpsters in their home towns? And I’m sure the dems are working on every possible contender as I type. They will find negative information on every candidate. Some really bad stuff, they will hold on to till it benefits them most to release it. Liberals in their Utopia—– They live where the govt tells them to live. They purchase food that the Govt. Tells them they are allowed to consume, and they drink what the govt. Allows them to drink. Only a few can remember what a Coca Cola, and a Big Mac tastes like (these along with other wonderful deities were banned years ago), but they trust the govt., and know that they are only doing what is best for them. If any of the libs get sick, they are taken care of, even though the lines for such care are long, and if any of the libs have health conditions that are not economically treatable, then they are humanely put down, but its free (and no one expects they will ever contract such health conditions), so all is good. The govt. Even decides who can have babies, and who must terminate their pregnancies, but its Ok, because the govt. Knows best at who deserves to live, and who is just a burden on their utopian commune. The libs work hard for low wages at jobs they particularly don’t like, and have to pay most of their wages to the govt., but its worth it because they are being taken care of. It’s all for the better of the commune, and they are free of all responsibility. As the libs age, they notice their friends are slowly disappearing, leaving the others a little nervous. So now at an older age, they keep a low profile. As hard as they try to warn the youngsters, and trying to explain to them that the govt. Owns them (like any youngster), they won’t listen to the wiser, more experienced Libs, they just laugh and make fun of the old farts. So the cycle continues.

In 1620, a group of English Puritans left Great Britain and sailed across the Atlantic on the Mayflower. Not only were they breaking away from what they considered religious persecution, but they were leaving the Old World that had been, in their viewpoint, materialistic, selfish, greedy and unprincipled.
Their vision of the New World, was to build a society constructed on a new foundation of communal sharing and social altruism. Their aim was based on the Communism of Plato’s Republic, in which there would be no private property and all work, and the harvest thereof, would be shared in common.
The outcome of this experiment with “Commune-ism” is documented in the diary of William Bradford, the Governor and head of the colony. The results of this first “collective” were disastrous and led to famine and starvation, both physically and spiritually:

“The experience that was had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years, and that amongst the Godly and sober men, may well convince of the vanity and conceit of Plato’s and other ancients; — that the taking away of property, and bringing into a common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God. For this community (so far as it was) was found to breed confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort.”
Having had enough of this failed system, and to avoid further devastation, another system was tried, free enterprise, or “Capitalism”. Instead of working for the “common good”, each citizen was responsible for their own survival, had private property, and enjoyed the fruit of their individual labor: The product of this experiment was also written in Bradford’s diaries:
“And so assigned to every family a parcel of land, according to the proportion of their number for that end . . . This had a very good success; for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted then otherwise would have been by any means the Governor or any other could use, and saved him a great deal of trouble, and gave far better content. The women now went willingly into the field, and took their little-ones with them to set corn, which before would a ledge weakness, and inability; whom to have compelled would have been thought great tyranny and oppression.”
“By this time harvest was come, and instead of famine, now God gave them plenty, and the face of things was changed, to the rejoicing of the hearts of many, for which they blessed God. And the effect of their planting was well seen, for all had, one way or other, pretty well to bring the year about, and some of the abler sort and more industrious had to spare, and sell to others, so as any general want or famine hath not been amongst them since to this day.”
The twisted ideology progressives would have you believe is that Socialistic systems are compassionate. Nothing could be further from the truth.
