Police have arrested a 50 year-old man in what appears to be a firebombing at Russ Carnahan’s office in St. Louis.

Police have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with what appears to be a firebombing that caused minor damage at the campaign headquarters of U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis.
Firefighters responded after witnesses called about hearing broken glass and later smelling smoke at the office in the 7000 block of Chippewa Street in south St. Louis…
…The incident took place around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday and is being investigated as an arson by the police department’s bomb and arson squad.
Police have not released the name of the suspect, who they described as a white man, pending the application of warrants. They also did not indicate a potential motive.

UPDATE: Sorry libs. From my contacts I found out it wasn’t a tea partier. It was a burglary. Of course, this should surprise no one. Vandalism at dem offices is usually committed by dems.

I withhold any conjecture until the identity is released, but I find it odd that the alleged perpetrator is in custody and yet his identity is withheld.

Post Disgrace is reporting that they have released the suspect in order to conduct further investigation. The Reichstag certainly comes to mind. I guess the real question is, was it an official Carnie staffer, or SEIU, and whether or not SEIU insurance will cover any burns the saboteur sustained.

It’s August 24, still no news as to the burglar’s name. Isn’t this a bit odd? Does applying for warrants usually take this long? Perhaps Carnahan has arranged for the whole thing to be covered up, wouldn’t want the public to know that it was one of his own thugs. Since the police are union, can we really trust them to uphold the law even when one of their own Democrats pull this crap?

They were hoping it was someone from the Tea-Party in regards to the “firebombing” of Russ Carnahan’s office. If it had been, the so-called mainstream media would have made it a National Story. It would have been in the papers as well as the so-called news networks (propaganda wing of the Obama Administration).
