Piecing Together Saddam's WMD Puzzle

** The WMD pieces are finally starting to fit together from Saddam’s Iraq.

In a page from al Qaeda’s lethal playbook, back on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, prime suspect Azmi al-Jayousi disrupted his WMD trial by throwing his shoes at military judges during the hearing in Amman, and threatening them with death.

Ten of the captured Al-Qaida terrorists on trial in Jordan who attempted to explode roughly 20 tons of chemical weapons with explosives. Authorities captured the weapons coming into Jordan through Syria.

Via Powerline, this information from translated iraqi documents that won’r soon hit the mainstream news. It is amazing that over 50% of Americans today understand that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction before Operation Iraqi Freedom despite the mainstream media’s refusal to report the facts:

This is an unofficial translation of Document Number ISGQ-2005-00022470, released as part of Project Harmony. It is a memo dated July 13, probably 2003; the author is an Iraqi opposition source located in Syria.

Subject: we have information about the location of Mass Destruction Weapons On Moharram 10th (Arabic calendar), prior to US/allied invasion to Iraq, fifty (50) Iraqi trucks entered Syria as convoys (or groups), I met some the drivers of those trucks, they got no idea about the content of their trucks.

The loads basically came from some where in Baghdad, Iraqi intelligence were escorting the loads. During their tripe, those truck drivers were stopped and asked frequently by the intelligence officers about whether or not they got any idea about the content of their loads, the divers replied “we have no idea,” then the officers would say “thank you.”

Upon their arrival to Deayr Ezoor city/ Syria, the drivers were ordered to get down, elements from Syrian intelligence got into the trucks, they took the trucks to big barracks for downloading.

After that; Iraqi drivers got their trucks back, they got $200 as a reward. The drivers told me that it was their second time to bring such secret shipment; the first shipment was Moharram 1st.

I have a friend in Syria working in Syrian company, the man has ½ of the company, and the other ½ belongs to a Syrian businessman.

This Iraqi person, a former counselor at Iraqi embassies, has strong connections with Iraqi embassy in Syria, he knows all Iraqi intelligence men there, and he has no idea that I am working with the Iraqi opposition in Syria.

I used to visit him daily during that period to listen to the important news. When the trucks arrived to Syria, I visited him, told him “Iraqi weapons got inside Syria,” he replied “who told you.” I said “I have my own resources,” he replied “don’t tell any one about that because actually it is inside.”

Based on this and a number of other reports, it seems likely that some, at least, of Iraq’s WMDs were shipped to Syria shortly before the war started in 2003.

This leads us to Jordan and the the Al Zarqawi led Al Qaeda members who were arrested hauling the largest WMD cache ever captured for a planned massacre of 80,000 in Amman!

This information is from the trial of Al Jayousi (Jayouzi) the ring leader of the spoiled WMD attack on Jordan from 2005:

The most dangerous terrorist plot ever foiled and brought to trial is being prosecuted in Jordan (in 2005). Al-Jayouzi, a follower of Al-Zarqawi, is on trial for planning and attempting to execute a Chemical Weapons attack in Jordan that could have killed as many as 80,000 civilians:

Al-Jayousi, identified as the head of a Jordanian terror cell, said he first met al-Zarqawi in Afghanistan, where al-Jayousi said he studied explosives, “before Afghanistan fell.”

He said he later met al-Zarqawi in neighboring Iraq to plan the attacks, but was not specific about when.

“I have pledged loyalty to Abu-Musab to fully be obedient and listen to him without discussion,” al-Jayousi said in the 20-minute videotape.

The commentator on the tape, who wasn’t further identified, said the plotters targeted Jordan’s secret service, its prime minister’s office and the U.S. Embassy.

“At least 80,000 people would have been killed,” the commentator said. Al-Zarqawi “is the terrorist” who plotted this operation.”

The Northeast Intelligence Information Network Followed the trial back in 2005:

The defendents roared “Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi will chop off your heads and stuff it up your mouths, you God’s enemies,”

A total of thirteen terrorists, four who are being tried in absentia including Iraqi thug Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi, are on trial for plotting chemical and conventional attacks against government and public buildings in Jordan and elsewhere under the command of al Zarqawi. The Jordanian plot was uncovered and ultimately foiled on April 21, 2004, when the four alleged cell members were killed in a shoot-out with police. From that incident, additional evidence was collected and other cell members arrested.

Al- Jayouzi received $170,000 for the suicide attack, the first large-scale chemical weapons attack by Al-Qaida.

The chemicals are believed to be VX nerve gas. There was 20 tons of the weapons and explosives captured coming into Jordan from Syria. Syria doesn’t make VX. Saddam Hussein’s Iraq did.

The defendants also had oxygen, sulfuric acid and nitroglycerin. These are highly combustible substances which the defendants had planned to use to cause explosions that would have dispersed the toxic chemicals.
