The Gateway Pundit reported that Chicago’s far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson endorsed “Abolish ICE” as a name for one of the city’s snow plows in its annual naming contest.

The Democrat mayor, known for his extremely progressive policies and vocal opposition to federal immigration authorities, made the endorsement during a discussion on MSNBC’s Politics Nation with Rev. Al Sharpton on Monday.

CBP Commander Greg Bovino responded in a message to Johnson on X and had a warning for others who want to keep the city mired in violence.  He made it clear that efforts to keep Americans safe will continue despite their whining.

“If you think we’re done with Chicago, you’d better check yourself before you wreck yourself,” Bovino wrote on X.

“Don’t call it a comeback; we’re gonna be here for years.”

Bovino then suggested a more appropriate name for the city’s snow plows: ‘Reality check.’

“Oh oh, i’ve got a nomination for the mayor,” he wrote on X.

“Name the plow ‘Reality Check’ and paint it green while your at it. Johnson obsesses over Border Patrol it seems!!”

Radical former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot weighed into the debate by threatening Bovino that his ‘day of reckoning is fast approaching.’

“Glory hound Greg Bovino cannot resist acting a fool in the third largest media market,” Lightfoot wrote on X.

“The actions of the CBP militia under his command have been unconstitional and shameful.”

“Hey, Greg, your day of reckoning is fast approaching.”

Lightfoot was savaged for her comments.

Chicago reporter William Kelly, who regularly challenged Lightfoot when she was in office, noted, “Former Mayor Lightfoot, few Chicagoans will ever forget the bizarre antics you engaged in when you were Mayor of the ‘third largest media market.'”

“That’s why they didn’t vote to re-elect you.”

P. Rae Easley, the founder of Chicago Red, hit back telling the former Mayor, “No it ain’t Madame Mayor. If  didn’t give the sanctuary ordinance teeth, WE wouldn’t have had to beg the President to send @CMDROpAtLargeCA here to clean up our communities.”

“My boo got shot in the chest by a Venezuelan on Central Park and Douglas August ‘24. They gotta go.”

Easley is running for Congress in IL-7.
