House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) sent the internet into an uproar after he spoke out following Mike Johnson (R-LA) re-election as House Speaker on Friday.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Johnson won the speakership on the first ballot but it was not without a bit of drama as three Republicans initially withheld their support: Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Ralph Norman of South Carolina, and Keith Self of Texas. This left Johnson two votes short.
But thanks to President Trump’s intervention, Norman and Self switched their voted to “yes,” allowing Johnson to prevail. Massie stuck to his guns to the end.
Johnson’s win also means Jeffries has now lost 20 CONSECUTIVE votes for Speaker of the House. But the House Democrat leader refused to let this latest failure dampen his spirit.
Shortly after Johnson won, Jeffries took the House podium to give a predictable lie-filled screed. But then hilarity struck as he was starting to wind down.
Jeffries appeared to be trying speak about Democrats fighting to make the opportunity possible for all Americans before making a shocking gaffe:
“(We will fight) to make the American dream possible,” Jeffries exclaims. “We will fart hard…for the freedom to vote!”

Rep. Eric “Fang Fang” Swalwell (D-CA) must have been thrilled and jealous upon hearing Jeffries’ ‘bold’ statement.
