Early Saturday morning Kevin McCarthy was elected the Speaker of the 118th session of the US House of Representatives on the 15th vote.
McCarthy was able to win the speakership after six GOP holdouts voted present in the 15th vote.
Following McCarthy’s win, Democrat Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, not known for his brilliance or tact, took to the podium to attack Republicans, Q-anon, Mar-a-Lago, and spout lies about Democrats and substance.
Like a grade school teacher, Hakeem went through the alphabet insulting Republicans.

Yes, we can. Over. You can’t do it. And zealous representation over zero some confrontation we will always do the right thing by the American people. So let us not grow weary of doing good for the American people will reap the benefit of the harvest if we do not give up.
He forgot “Fantasy over facts.”

Of course, Kevin McCarthy then took the podium and promised to be cordial with Democrats.
That’s exactly why he is not the man for the job.
