Judge Drops 5 of 6 FELONY VOTER FRAUD Charges Against Dem City Clerk Almost 4 Yrs After MI AG Nessel and SOS Benson Promised Justice For Fellow Democrat

100 Percent Fed Up – When Southfield, MI, City Clerk Sharikia Hawkins was arrested and charged with six voter fraud-related felonies related to the 2018 election, MI Democrat AG Dana Nessel and MI Democrat SOS Jocelyn Benson held a press conference where they promised that justice would be served, regardless of party affiliation.

But anyone who’s watched these two partisan hack politicians in action over the past 3.5 years never believed that justice would be served for one of Michigan’s most crooked city clerks.

In December 2020, we reached out to Sharikia Hawkins, who was, at the time, facing up to 48 years in prison,  to ask her about the status of her court case. Hawkins, who was still acting as Southfield’s city clerk, assured us she was no longer handling elections until her case was settled. When we asked Ms. Hawkins if she knew when her case would be resolved, she told us that she hoped the judge would dismiss all of her charges.

Sherikia Hawkins’ wish came true when the judge overseeing her case dismissed 4 of the 6 felony charges before the 2020 election, where Ms. Hawkins’ name would appear on the ballot for re-election. Apparently, residents of Southfield were as concerned about the felony voter fraud charges against Hawkins as AG Nessel or SoS Benson, as they re-elected the accused vote cheater to serve another term as their city clerk.

Last week, Republican GOP candidate for SOS Kristina Karamo dropped a bombshell video about the “Curious case of Sherikia Hawkins.” The video is part of a series of 20+ videos called #BensonsDirtyDeeds. Each video reveals at least one serious issue related to lawlessness, blatant hypocrisy, ties to radical, anti-Americanism, or cronyism tied to Michigan’s current Secretary of State. The 7th video in the series of #BensonsDirtyDeeds tells the story of Sherikia Hawkins. In the video, Kristina Karamo asks, “Is this Jocelyn Benson’s idea of ‘swift justice?”

Two days before Ms. Hawkins’s trial was set to begin and only nine days after GOP SOS candidate Kristina Karamo released her 7th video exposing the dishonest press conference with Michigan’s dishonest SOS Jocelyn Benson and lawless AG Dana Nessel, who promised swift justice for the Southfield City Clerk, Sherikia Hawkins resigned from her position as city clerk.

Sherikia Hawkins

That’s weird, considering Democrat AG Nessel promised Hawkins would pay for her crimes.

MSN reports – Hawkins, who recently left her elected position within Southfield, pleaded no contest to the sixth crime she was charged with, misconduct in office. For that, she faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 8.

The charges stem from allegations that Hawkins fraudulently changed the Qualified Voter File after the general election to falsely show some absentee ballots were void because their envelopes didn’t have the voter’s signature.

The Oakland County Clerk’s office reportedly discovered discrepancies in Southfield’s absentee ballots during the certification process. Those discrepancies were then brought to the attention of Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Benson and Attorney General Dana Nessel announced the charges against Hawkins in September 2019 yet stated the alleged crimes didn’t alter the election results and didn’t disenfranchise any voters.

In February 2021, now-retired Oakland County Circuit Judge Leo Bowman quashed charges of forgery, filing false records, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. To quash refers to making void a ruling from a lower court. In this case, it referenced 45th District Judge Michelle Appel’s binding over the case to the circuit court in June 2020.

The case then went to the Court of Appeals, which ruled that Bowman erred in dismissing the four counts and ordered Hawkins to stand trial on the six charges filed in 2019.

Hawkins told RollingOut.com in a 2018 interview that her goal was to someday become a Secretary of State, adding that one of the most important factors to becoming a successful woman is that “you are not afraid to take risks.”

She also told the publication, “It’s very important for women of color to make sure we have a seat at the table and that our input is being taken seriously. We are change agents and a force to be reckoned with. The days of being silent are over. Our agendas matters.
