Joe Biden shared on GM and Ford’s activities with electronic vehicles in his SOTU but left out Tesla again. Elon Musk, responded to Biden and others joined in.
“Nobody is watching the State of the Union,” Musk said in an email to CNBC. Biden touted the combined $18 billion investments by Ford and GM to build electric vehicles. Tesla, an electric automaker giant, wasn’t mentioned in Biden’s speech to the nation. Musk did not immediately return CNBC’s follow-up requests for comment.
Musk later tweeted directly to Biden saying “Tesla has created over 50,000 US jobs building electric vehicles & is investing more than double GM + Ford combined.”
This isn’t the first time Musk shamed Biden.
After Biden’s remarks and Musk’s tweet, former Kiss member Gene Simmons chimed in supporting Musk.
Actually, we still operate our California factory, which is the largest auto plant in North America, at full capacity and are considering expanding it significantly.
It has built 2/3 of all electric vehicles in North America, twice as much as all other carmakers combined.
