DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is currently being sued for having Black Lives Matter painted in obnoxious giant yellow letters spanning two blocks outside Lafayette Park by the White House. She also renamed the portion of the street “Black Lives Matter Plaza.”
On Monday evening, activists with fences in DC began to attempt a recreation of the six square block mess known as CHAZ or CHOP in Seattle.
Rioters took over a six square block area of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood earlier this month and have been refusing to allow police entry. They have been allowed to continue their game with the blessing of Mayor Jenny Durkan. She has compared the chaos to a “block party.” However, the area has been plagued with violence, theft, and murder. There have been multiple shootings since Saturday.
They have also ironically been using armed security at their borders and building walls to keep undesirable people out.

The DC militants had fenced off and barricaded multiple streets by 8 p.m. local time, with no sign of police to stop them.

UPDATE: Police are reportedly moving in to the area as of 8:30 p.m. local time.
