Absolutely Without a Doubt Everyone Knows the Death of Clinton Connected Jeffrey Epstein Was Beyond Negligence, It Was Criminal

Yesterday 66-year-old financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell.  The multi-millionaire financier was hospitalized in July after he was found unresponsive in what reportedly appeared to be a possible suicide attempt.

In July Epstein was found injured and in a fetal position inside his cell at a New York City jail, after the July incident he was reportedly put under suicide watch.  On Saturday he hanged himself.

According to reports Epstein told authorities someone tried to kill him in a previous incident weeks earlier.

Epstein was reportedly in good spirits.  There was no indication he would take his life.

Now there are reports that prison guards did not make required checks on Epstein overnight.

Buried in an initial Reuters report was the admission that the guards skipped checks on Jeffrey Epstein on the night of his death — the most notorious prisoner in the US who was found unconscious less than 3 weeks ago!

Via Reuters:

Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on Saturday after an apparent suicide in the New York jail cell where he was being held without bail on sex-trafficking charges, and a source said he was not on suicide watch at the time of his death.

Epstein, 66, was found unresponsive in his cell in the Special Housing Unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which operates the lower Manhattan jail, said in a statement. It declined to comment further…

Even though Epstein was found unconscious last month, he had recently been taken off suicide watch, a special set of procedures for inmates in danger of taking their own life, according to the source. The financier was in a cell by himself when his body was found.

It was not immediately clear why Epstein was taken off suicide watch.

At the MCC, two jail guards are required to make separate checks on all prisoners every 30 minutes, but that procedure was not followed overnight, according to the source. In addition, every 15 minutes guards are required to make another check on prisoners who are on suicide watch.

FOX News also reports that Epstein was taken off of a suicide watch –

Jeffrey Epstein was not on suicide watch when he apparently killed himself in the New York jail where he was being held on child sex trafficking charges, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons told the New York Post Saturday.

A former prison guard shared with us the following about cases when an individual is on a suicide watch –

There’s no way for a prisoner to commit suicide. We took away all their covers, and all they were left with was a mattress. Then we’d have to document every time we checked on the prisoner for whatever it was, every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes. And we’d have to enter into the log exactly what we saw. And nobody was allowed to go into those corridors except the prison guard on duty.

A suicide risk has his own cell. They put him in solitary confinement, and they aren’t allowed to have anything at all, not even a book. Nothing. They just get to stare at the walls all day long.

You can’t allow a suicide watch risk to even be around the general prison population because they have nothing to lose, so that makes them a danger to not only themselves but to others around them. Opens up the prison to a lawsuit.

Epstein never should have been taken off of suicide watch.  He never should have been placed with other prisoners, if he was.  He never should have been left alone without regular checks.  This was a setup – this was a crime.

The fact that Epstein was not under continuous surveillance and was taken off of suicide watch was not just negligence, it was a crime.  Everyone knows it.
