David Harris, Jr. with President Trump
The number one political weapon Democrats have used against all of their opponents, for decades, is racism.
Democrats, the political party that has fought for segregation and slavery, founded the Ku Klux Klan and vehemently opposed civil rights legislation throughout the party’s 227-year-old history, are ramping up their attacks on President Trump with baseless accusations of bigotry, as they have done to all of his Republican predecessors.
But their repeated attempts to derail Trump by bombarding the president and his supporters with allegations of bigotry is not only futile but backfiring, David Harris Jr., author of “Why I Couldn’t Stay Silent,” surmises.
“As far as the race card goes, they’ve run out of cards. They started off playing the race card against President Trump before he became president. He still became president. It wasn’t effective then, it’s not going to be effective now,” Harris said in an exclusive interview with The Gateway Pundit.
The American people are increasingly becoming aware of Democrats’ manipulative, race-bating tactics, Harris argued.
“The other thing that’s taking place is that the American people are waking up,” the Turning Point USA surrogate said. “They are realizing that the Democrats only have so many cards that they can play and now they are playing the same ones over and over again.”
After Trump recommended socialist Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came” instead of routinely denigrating the United States with anti-American and anti-Semitic rhetoric, the left predictably rushed to condemn the president as a racist.
House Democrats passed a resolution to condemn Trump’s “racist language” with a 240-187 vote, including four Republicans and one independent.
This week, Trump called attention to the decrepit, dilapidated conditions of the Rep. Elijah Cummings’ district, prompting Democrats in conjunction with establishment media to, again, coordinately connive to convince the public Trump’s remarks are predicated on racism.
“CNN and MSNBC said the word ‘racist’ more than 1,100 times since Trump slammed Cummings on Sunday, according to a tally conducted by Grabien Media.
But Trump, unlike his Republicans predecessors, is brazenly pushing back against the Democrats racist narrative and unabashedly labeled Tlaib and Cummings as racists.
Under Trump’s leadership, conservatives have a prime opportunity to expose the xenophobic agenda and history Democrat Party, which has infused socialist policies under the guise of civil rights, Harris argued.
“As far as the black community voting Democrat, I think that the race card is actually an opportunity for us to bring up who the real racist party has been. The Democrats founded the KKK. They fought for Jim Crow, they fought to keep segregation. They fought against the civil rights of black Americans,” he said.
The idea that the two parties miraculously “switched,” Harris argued, is “asinine.”
“As the Democrats try to continue to push this racist narrative against the president, it’s an opportunity for us to say, ‘hey, do your research, go look at the Democrat Party, go look at their roots, go look at their history. There was no ‘big switch,’ that’s the other big myth – that needs to be reverted – is that there was no big switch,” he said.
The idea “that tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people that were racist against blacks, all of a sudden became the champion for civil rights, and at the same time all of the hundreds of thousands of white Americans that were fighting for civil rights,” he continued, “is ridiculous.”
He added, “It doesn’t make any sense. The American people are going to see this, they’re seeing this and it gives us an opportunity to talk about it more.”
