Deranged Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu (CA) spread a crazy conspiracy theory about Robert Mueller after the former special counsel walked back his earlier ‘bombshell’ statement about DOJ guidelines.
Mueller on Wednesday issued a clarification on a statement he made during his testimony to House Judiciary member Ted Lieu.
“The reason that you did not indict the president is because of the OLC opinion that you cannot indict a sitting president, correct?” Lieu asked, referring to the DOJ’s position against charging a sitting president.
“Correct,” Mueller replied.
As Mueller began the second leg of his testimony before the House Intel Committee, he issued a clarification about his statement to Ted Lieu.
“I want to add one correction to my testimony this morning,” Mueller said. “I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu, who said and I quote, ‘You didn’t charge the President because of the OLC opinion. That is not the correct way to say it. As we say in the report and as I said at the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the President committed a crime.”
Ted Lieu wasn’t happy about Mueller’s statement so he spread a crazy conspiracy theory that ‘someone must have gotten to him.’
Maybe it was the Russians?
“This is what’s so odd about that exchange. Special counsel Robert Mueller agreed that the OLC opinion prevented a sitting president from being indicted, and then the Republican member after me asked him a series of questions to try to get him to walk it back, and he did not do that.”
“And then it wasn’t until there was a recess with the Intel committee that he started to walk some of it back,” Lieu said to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer this week.
“I don’t know who got to him. I don’t know who talked to him, but that was very odd, what he did.”
“Well what are you suggesting?” Blitzer asked Lieu. “Are you saying he only did that because of pressure from someone?”
“I don’t know,” Lieu said, “but he clearly answered the way he answered to me, and then he had numerous times to walk that back by the next Republican member who asked him a series of questions on the exact same issue trying to get him to walk it back so I don’t really understand what happened.”
Ted Lieu is the embodiment of the deranged Commie-Dem party — if someone disagrees with their warped interpretation of the law, they spread wild conspiracy theories in order to explain why things didn’t go their way.
