VIDEO: Liberal UNC Student Arrested After Punching Pro-Life Activist on Campus

A college student at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill has been arrested after violently attacking a pro-life activist in an incident that was captured on film last month.

Jillian Ward, 19, is facing a misdemeanor assault charge after she attacked Austin Beigel, a member of the pro-life organization Created Equal.

The group had signs with graphic images showing the reality of abortion, hoping to spark discussion about the topic on campus. They were discussing the weather when Ward, an aspiring journalist, approached and asked them if they were the ones who put up the signs. When they responded in the affirmative she charged at them and punched them multiple times.

Beigel says she hit him in the face several times, as well as in the stomach.

“F***ing terrible person,” Ward screamed in the footage. “You’re a terrible person. You — this is not okay. This is not okay. This is not okay. Shut the f**k up right now. This is wrong. This is triggering. You’re not an innocent human being. You’re a terrible person.”

In a Facebook post about the incident, Beigel said “I hope you pray for the heart of the young woman who attacked me.”

“Pro-abortion activists are losing the argument, and instead of seeking debate they are escalating the violence on peaceful preborn defenders on college campuses. We will never cave to acts of violence or intimidation. We will return hate with love for mothers and their babies,” Mark Harrington, the president of Created Equal, said.
